"Why are you interested in me?" Jester asked shamelessly. As if he were asking me why I chose to wear purple today, instead of asking me to reveal my deepest desires. He probably didn't realize his first question would be something impossible for me to answer at the moment. I told him so, and he said, "But you promised you'd answer me honestly--"
"As honestly as I can, yes, and I am honestly telling you that I cannot fully explain it right now." I looked him in the eye (bad idea, it was like looking at roughly cut diamonds) to show my sincerity.
"All I can tell you is that I think you're different. And that you are someone I would be better off knowing, than ignoring."
