Silence filled the Heart Chamber.

Lyra stood where the mysterious doorway had disappeared.

Her older self’s words remained in her mind.

“The person you love will be the one who destroys the Moon Throne.”

She slowly turned toward Karl.

He didn’t move.

Neither did she.

“Lyra,” he said quietly.

She looked away.

“I don’t know what to believe.”

Karl lowered his sword.

“Then don’t believe me.”

She looked at him.

“Believe what you see.”

Before Lyra could answer, the floor trembled.

Thump.

Everyone froze.

Thump.

The heartbeat beneath the chamber grew louder.

Master Thorne looked toward the floor.

“The Heart isn’t beneath us.”

“Then where is it?” Arnold asked.

Master Thorne’s face went pale.

“Inside someone.”

Everyone looked at Lyra.

Lyra stepped backward.

“No.”

Adrian immediately shook his head.

“That’s impossible.”

Master Thorne pointed toward her hand.

The Ring of Unity was glowing brighter than ever.

“The relics don’t simply choose their keeper.”

He looked at Lyra.

“They become connected to them.”

Lyra stared at the ring.

“So the Heart…”

“May have chosen you.”

Another pulse traveled through her body.

Lyra gasped.

For a brief moment, she saw a vision.

A vast silver kingdom.

Thousands of people kneeling.

A crown floating above her head.

Then darkness.

She saw Karl standing before the Moon Throne.

His sword was raised.

The throne was breaking apart.

Lyra reached for him.

“Karl!”

The vision vanished.

She stumbled.

Karl caught her.

“What did you see?”

Lyra looked into his eyes.

“You.”

His expression changed.

“What was I doing?”

She hesitated.

“Destroying the throne.”

Karl went silent.

Alaric approached them.

“Visions aren’t always prophecies.”

Lyra looked at him.

“But sometimes they are.”

“Yes.”

“Then how do I stop it?”

Her father sighed.

“You can’t fight a future that hasn’t happened.”

Lyra frowned.

“What can I do?”

“Choose differently.”

The words stayed with her.

Then Adrian suddenly looked toward the entrance.

“Someone is coming.”

Lucien immediately raised his weapon.

Footsteps echoed through the corridor.

Slow.

Heavy.

Then a familiar figure appeared.

Selena.

But she wasn’t wearing the silver-black crown anymore.

Her clothes were torn, and she looked exhausted.

Karl stepped forward.

“Don’t come any closer.”

Selena raised her hands.

“I’m not here to fight.”

Lyra stared at her.

“Then why are you here?”

Selena looked at the empty space where the Heart had been.

“Because I finally understand what I helped awaken.”

“What?”

Selena’s eyes filled with fear.

“The Blood King.”

She swallowed.

“He isn’t trying to control the Heart.”

Lyra’s expression hardened.

“Then what does he want?”

Selena whispered:

“He wants you.”

A sudden blast shook the chamber.

The walls cracked.

Everyone turned toward the corridor.

A deep voice echoed through the fortress.

“Lyra!”

The Blood King.

Adrian stepped forward.

“He found us.”

Caelan drew his sword.

“Then let him come.”

But Selena shook her head.

“You don’t understand.”

She looked directly at Lyra.

“He doesn’t want to kill you.”

“Then what does he want?”

Selena’s voice dropped.

“He wants to make you his successor.”

Lyra stared at her.

“What?”

Selena nodded.

“The first Blood King cannot leave his prison unless someone takes his place.”

The chamber went silent.

Lyra finally understood.

“The Heart isn’t a prison for him.”

Selena shook her head.

“No.”

She looked at Lyra.

“The Heart is the prison for whoever becomes the next Blood King.”

Lyra’s blood ran cold.

Then the chamber doors exploded open.

The Blood King stood beyond them.

And behind him were thousands of awakened warriors.

He looked directly at Lyra.

“Come with me, Moon Queen.”

Lyra raised her Moon Bow.

“Never.”

The Blood King smiled.

“Then I’ll give you one reason you cannot refuse.”

He lifted his hand.

A magical image appeared in the air.

Lyra’s eyes widened.

It showed a distant fortress.

Inside stood someone she thought she had already found.

Her father.

But another figure stood behind him.

A dagger was pressed against his shoulder.

The Blood King spoke softly.

“Choose, Lyra.”

“Your kingdom…”

“Or your father.”
