CHAPTER 5

After spending three days in the hospital and fighting for my life, Ethan didn't call me to find out where I was for one day,it wasn't until I came back from the hospital and entered the house I shared with him that I found out he hasn't been back since the day we left .

When I got home from the hospital , the house was still as it was before I left that morning, and there were patches of dust everywhere . You could tell at a glance that nobody had been here for a long time.

I went to the bedroom to tidy up before coming out to clean the whole place. When that is done, I booked a ride to the hospital where I work to see my patients, especially the ones who recently had surgery . By the time I finished, it was already dark outside the hospital, I booked another ride back to the house.

when I opened the door, I saw Ethan, he was sitting in the dark room pressing his phone, when he looked up and saw me, he dropped the phone and faced me, without greeting, after not seeing me for three days,

"Eva, you have changed, I didn't come back for three days, and you never bothered to find out where I was. You weren't like this before. "

Why would I worry? I know you were with Luna."

Oh, so you knew I was with Luna? you also knew that she fainted at the restaurant and I had to take her to the hospital and you never bothered to call to find out how she was."

"Why should I call? I knew she was in safe hands with you by her side."

"And you call yourself a doctor, what happened to the oats you took to save life, did your conscience not bother you?

Ethan, I don't want to fight with you anymore. You took me out to a restaurant with you and your Luna, forced foods that I don't eat on me. You saw me faint and needed help, but you, what did you do as my boyfriend? you took Luna, who was alright away just because she pretended to pass out and you left me there to die, now you come back here demanding to know why I didn't call you. As I didn't call you ,why didn't you call me or was I supposed to be the only one who can make a call?."

Ethan was stunned for a moment before saying, "I knew it,just because Luna fainted, now you're claiming you fainted too? Eva, when did you become like this?

"I don't know what you mean, Ethan. how have i become?."

"You have become vicious and unreasonable, and you have allowed your jealousy to crowd your mind, especially with anything that has to do with Luna." he accused me.

"Ethan, is that how you see me ? or is that what Luna told you about me?."

"Dont bring t Luna's name into our quarrel. She is innocent. Besides, she doesn't need to tell me anything, I have eyes. I can see everything."

"So in your eyes Ethan, Luna is innocent, and I'm vicious , right?

"Eva, stop targeting Luna. If you have a problem with me,come at me and leave Luna alone."

"How am I targeting her? she told you something, and you believed her without bothering to find out the truth, now you stand before me accusing me of targeting your girlfriend."

"Luna is not my girlfriend. We are just friends. There is nothing between the two of us. stop accusing us wrongly.

"You could have fooled me."

"What do you mean?."

"Ethan, if you wanted to find out the truth of what happened that day, you can easily find out, just go to that restaurant and ask them to see the surveillance footage of what happened on that day , they Wii show it to you."

"Surveillance footage, why would I ask for the surveillance footage of a restaurant?."

"Don't you want to find out if I'm lying to you or if your Luna is the one lying?."

"I don't need a surveillance camera, Eva . Stop making trouble , I saw what happened."

"Are you sure you saw it right, or did you see what Luna wanted you to see?

"Eva, Luna fainted before me. what other proof do I need? Eva, stop being unreasonable. When you have time, go to Luna to apologise ."

"Me! apologise to Luna, for what? what did I do?."

"Eva,you have to save me some face. You are my girlfriend, and we took Luna out for a meal. When she fainted, weren't you as my girlfriend supposed to take care of her on my behalf?

"As your nanny or your servant? Ethan, tell me , am I really your girlfriend? Ethan, who am I to you?."

"What do you mean? You are my girlfriend, and we are getting married next month. "

"Are you sure we are getting married next month?."

"Eva, what are you trying to say?

"Nothing, I'm just asking?."

As we were talking, Ethan's phone on the table rang, and Luna's name was displayed .Immediately, Ethan saw it, he picks it up and left the house, throwing out words to me. "Eva, I'm going out now. Don't wait up for me, we'll talk when I come back." Before shutting the door.
