Chapter 17: “Are you an angel?”

After having breakfast, Alice asked her parents' permission to leave first. She needed to find a way to stop the nightmare that tormented her. Perhaps the herb shops run by Sirent could help her find some sort of tranquilizer.

Lily helped her into the carriage and was about to return to her seat next to the driver when she was called back.

“Lily, about today I went to the herb shop. Remember to tell everyone not to tell my parents. Especially my mother. I don't want to see her worry more about me.”

“I understand, miss.”

Not long after, the carriage entered Bing Street — the capital Lumière. The street was in the middle of the busy, noisy, bustling with traffic; large buildings close together with large eye-catching signs; or the flow of people dressed in colorful and luxurious costumes. This was where a large number of merchants and the middle-to-upper classes lived and played.
