Where the hell did she go?

I’ve been walking and searching everywhere in the pack house.

Normally there was a different wing where all the healers stayed and did their thing.

That was exactly where she was supposed to be if not in my room.

“Have you seen Christine, mum?” I asked immediately I knocked, stepping into the room like it was mine.

“Hello to you too, dear.” She smiled at me.

“Sorry mum, I just really needed Christine right now.” I returned the smile, not wanting to say more than that.

“Why? Aren’t you both supposed to be together? Training?” She asked, arranging a pile of stuff into her wardrobe.

“Ehm yea. We were done and she just suddenly disappeared.” I lied. She didn’t need to know the real details.

If she knew the truth she'd likely go pull Josh’s ear till he apologized.

And I didn’t want that. It’ll only make matters worse when people start talking about it.
