~Raemon~ I was going to reach out to him if he didn’t reach out to me in time. I’ve been thinking about it carefully, her face stuck in my head every single minute. Five years.. it’s been a whole long five years of her running away from me. Annika was right, I need an explanation but more importantly I need my mate and I’m not going to make a mistake that’ll drive her away from me again. I can’t explain the joy I feel, knowing she’s going to be in my arms once again. The pain I had to go through with a mate on the run. I thought it was going to be an easy thing to find her before the week runs out. I couldn’t recognize myself, the hurt of a mate leaving and the thoughts of how much pain she’ll be in killing me continuously. For the first time I felt confused, I was supposed to be thinking of ways to comfort the child we both lost but everything swallowed me up at once. I was overwhelmed, asking the moon goddess to provide my mate for me or I’ll invade every pack. It was
~Lexa~ We sat still, my gaze outside the window. Alpha Zane just right beside me and Beta Josh driving the car. No escorts on the road, just us driving right before dinner time. I let the silence sit between us as I didn’t want to talk to him. He was pushing it, pushing me and I hate the fact that I can’t do anything about it. We were driving straight out of the pack, where all the buildings, pack house and local hubs were thoughtfully hidden behind the tall thick bushes that served as boundaries between other packs. It was just enough to remind me of the possibility that I might be walking straight into a meeting with Raemon. I put extra powder and whatever thing Christine gave me to cover up the mate mark on my neck. No one .. absolutely no one knows about whose mark was that, all she needed to know was that I had bad feelings about the mate mark and I hated seeing it. It covers up pretty well, and I’m glad. I don’t want anything pulling me to him. “Behave yourself
~Lexa~ “Are you okay? Troubles again?” Xavier asked quietly, as I gently placed my face on my hands in a very tired gesture. Just great… I can’t even turn left and not see him there. “You say it like I’m the one looking for it.” I sat upright, frowning at him. He smiled, handing me some of his fruits. “Oh yea sorry. It always finds you.” We both laughed, nodding our heads as that was more like it. I guess the one thing I want to do has set a whole lot of issues for me. “But what is it this time around?” He asked gazing straight at the person sitting a table away at my back. Yes. I did come out to eat with Xavier even though I didn’t get to rest a lot. I already sort of promised him, so I had to come along. But what did I get, a very annoying alpha sitting at my back. “That’s true, why can’t you just go along with them? He wants me to come along to a meeting.” I spilled out to him, putting the fruit straight into my mouth. Putting the upper part of my body on our table.
~Lexa~ I sat down without waiting for him to tell me to sit, his eyes staring at me and I stared back. Alpha’s and acting all almighty. Just because they have authority, he had to spoil my afternoon?! Tskk… I frowned deeply, the pain reducing this time around. I held the small ice bag tighter against my forehead. He turned to look at Josh, definitely saying something through the mindlink as it took some time before he finally spoke up. “You’ll be attending a 3days meeting with me, so prepare all you need. We will be leaving tonight.” He muttered boldly, dishing out orders. I was confused who he expected to follow those orders, definitely not me. I looked at him with utter confusion, pointing at myself. “Are you talking to me?” “Is there anyone else here?” He asked, his voice deepening with silent anger. “Yes, there is.” I glanced towards Josh to prove a point. “I’m not smiling or laughing Lexa.” “It’s not like it’s my fault , so?” I murmured, turning my face away. “Wha
~Lexa~ “Please don’t be mean, I swear it was just a mistake.” She lets out a squeal, stopping me from going any further. Her hands lifted the board up to protect herself. Okay okay I’m damn confused. What’s going on? Is this another little plot of hers? I was dumbfounded and about to ask what’s gotten into her when his voice came up behind me. “You both seem busy?” He said calmly, his eyes calculative as he looked between us. I could already get a hang of what Amy was plotting and sincerely I wasn’t ready for that. “Not at all.. I just want to get to my ro…” “I’m sorry beta Josh, I’m sure it’s all my fault. I didn’t see her coming and she walked right into me and slapped me without letting me explain.” She burst out in matters of seconds, her voice unbelievably pitiful. Her eyes teared up almost immediately. I stood there, looking at her with shock. “Is this a joke?” Should I be laughing because wow.. just wow she’s good. He nodded his head, turning to look at me st
~Lexa~ It’s been two days now and no sight of him, the awkward, unnecessary stares seemed to have stopped. I was so damn happy he hasn’t been here, because tell me why he’ll leave everything and every other person in this training, just to walk down and make me uncomfortable? I know what’s going on in his head and it’s definitely a fact that he wants to see me quit even if he has to do it himself. But I’m never backing down. “You guys are doing so well, you should be able to train with everyone else starting next week.” Xavier said, looking at me with a smiling face. His smile disappeared almost immediately when he turned to face Christine. “You should be fine if you just do whatever B does.” He added while Christine just nodded affirmatively with a smile and ran off. She had mentioned having some healing things to do. He was busy teaching us all the basic steps after learning about the flexibility stuff he said was useful. I haven’t ever joined them for a pack run.it was
