CHAPTER 3

Perfect Evil Brother

(Vaz POV)

"Vaz, after this we will go to karaoke with some girls, okay?" Tobby said while arranging the C.U. student papers, we are part of the student council, so we are here now in the file room.

"I'll go if there will be some beauties!" I replied sitting properly on the bench there.

"Lots of beautiful and cool women out there trust me! So, are you coming?" Tobby sat down next to me.

I sighed.

"I'll go."

"Good then! Let's finish this soon, so we can leave right away!"

I hate home, that is why I spend almost my whole day and night outside.

I don’t like the atmosphere in the house, I just remember my mom and I always see my perfect older brother!

5 years ago, I was the perfect child, student, and cute youngest sibling.

Always on top, high grades, studying well, praised, and proud.

I was raised the way they wanted, and I walked it well.

Until I was bored with them pushing me on the road that I should take to the future they want, so I turned away!

My mom and dad were so disappointed in me.

They just wasted their hard work and tiredness for me.

Is it my fault I don't want them to lead me to where I want to be?

I let them down and took the path I wanted. Free and without pressure.

Mom was so sad that she got sick and died.

Even though that happened I still didn't feel anything.

I know Dad blames me and my brother thinks I have no right at everything!

My older brother Harry, we are brothers, we have been together since we were little, we have had many fights but since then I have felt and seen that he sees me as his competitor. Especially with the wealth of our family.

Behind Harry’s kindness was his greedy heart.

So when that girl Amber and her Mother came into our lives, I was worried about them. Knowing Harry, he doesn't want anyone to share anything, even if he doesn't want to share with me anything and as our stepsister, Amber is dead to Harry because in his view he is already competing with her!

"Vaz," Voice called behind me, so I looked at the door.

My brother Harry and his girlfriend Holly.

"What do you want?" I asked my brother.

"Where are you going, after this?" he asked.

I narrowed my eyes at him. When does he start to care where I'm going?

"Karaoke!" I answered and refocused my attention on what I was doing.

"Playing again," he said shaking his head.

"It's none of your concerns to deal with, anyway!" I answered coldly.

"Well, I don't care. Then you'll be a disgrace to the family, so I won't warn you to protect our reputation," he said laughing.

"Ah really, that's good. Your nags won't get me anyway." I smirked.

"By the way, I promised our stepsister that I would pick her up after class. That's why I remembered that Holly and I had a walk. HMP, can you just pick her up?" Harry asked.

"What are you planning to do with her?" I asked facing him and glared.

"Oy waits, I'm just being nice to Amber, besides she's a part of our family now, Vaz!" Smile answer it.

"Don't fool me! It would be nice if I didn't know you Harry haha." I laughed.

Just laugh it off, he can't fool though.

"It's up to you what you want to think little brother. You just have to go to her first." He ordered and took Holly away.

"And by the way Vaz, you take care, okay !?" He smiled before finally leaving.

I winced as I looked his back a walk away.

"Your brother is so cool. He has a beautiful and sexy girlfriend, a more top-notch, athlete, model, and at a young age known as the thorny businessman. He is the answer to your family's expectations." Tobby said patting my shoulder.

"Yeah, he is, and I was the total opposite of my perfect brother!" I said get up and arrange my things to pick up Amber at their school.

"Done, let's go? Let's go together." Said Tobby.

"Sorry Tob, I need to pick up Amber at her school, maybe next time." I refuse Tobby invitation and pick up my bag.

"Argh, what is that. All right next time just come with your stepsis, so I can meet her." Tob agrees.

"All right. I'm going." I said goodbye to Tob and left the student council office.

<Fast Forward>

(Williams University)

The W.U. guard stops my car, so I stopped.

"Sir?" He asked in surprise when I opened the car window, and he saw that my uniform was different.

"I'll just fetch my sister, isn't that forbidden?" I said and looked at the guard.

"Is that so, this is the way to the parking lot!" He said pointing the way to the left.

"Thank you!" I entered my car from the school to the parking lot.

5 pm. Amber is still nowhere to be found. I'm getting bored.

I decided to get out of the car, so she could see me right away just in case.

The students immediately looked at me.

I was sighed. My uniform is different. Attention catcher.

That Amber is so slow! More and more students want to see me. I have a hard time finding her.

Amber has finally arrived!

When she saw me, she hesitated to approach me.

Like the hell?

"Hey!" I called her when she was about to leave.

"What are you doing here?" She muttered.

"You're being picked up!" I asked angrily. I didn’t care about the students there watching us.

"This is embarrassing," she whispered.

"What? Embarrassing? Do I look like an embarrassment? Then you made me wait! What time is it?" I shrugged when I asked.

"That's not what I meant."

She turned to somewhere and looked at me again with eyes up to my face.

"What's up now? Let's go home. Are you still waiting for someone? Don't be shy, I'll only pick you up here once, so it might be the last!" I said irritably.

"Gosh, why did you come after me? Where's Harry?" Amber asked after getting into my car.

"He has a date."

"Is that so? You shouldn't have bothered to pick me up. I can go home alone." she said embarrassed. So naive, she didn't even know the family she entered.

I just looked at her and started my car.

She was just quiet and so was I. I'm shy with her, unlike other women I've been with. I feel differently with her, I’m ashamed.

I looked at her and she smiled.

TSS.

I turned my face and did not show her my smile. Likewise, I was embarrassed for her to see me happy. Damn!

I looked at her again and noticed that she was not wearing a seat belt, so I parked the car again to adjust her seat belt.

Furthermore, I moved my body closer to her to reach for her seat belt and adjust it.

"What are you doing?" Astonished she asked on my face. I could feel her breath on my face. She is cute up close. I even brought my face closer to her as I adjusted the seatbelt on her side.

I noticed the redness of her face and my closeness to her stopped her from breathing. Haha, teasable.

I should have gone away because I had fastened her seat belt, but I couldn't help but stare at her closely.

She just stared at me. This time she was silent as if she could not move. I want to claim her lips!

No!

"Are you done?" She asked stunned.

Her white teeth gleamed with a quick and strained smile.

"Stay away!" She said.

I smiled and blinked. Her voice brought tingles to my flesh. Strange!

Her beautiful face is something I only see once. It's simple but beautiful. Strange.

The smell of her perfume spread through my car. So feminine. I rearranged my seat in the driver's seat.

"Don't you know how to wear a seatbelt? Shouldn't that be your priority when you get in the car?" I asked.

She shook her head and smiled.

Is there anything funny about what I said?

I started my car again and looked at her. Secretly studied her face.

I nudge the car a little, so Amber was surprised to have her small hands over her mouth.

Cute.

"Would you like some candy? I have it in the red box near the little pillow." I said pointing her to the box.

I immediately remembered Mom when she was still alive. When I'm with her in my car she is always looking for candy, so I always have candy in the car.

I gasped. I miss her and her smile. She always says I choose to always be happy.

She even told me that the real happiness and joy is that more than having a lot of wealth or winning any championship, the real happiness is when I start to fall in love.

When you fall in love it is said that life begins, the measure of life is not what you do to live, life is how you live with the person who is the reason why you live. I don’t understand Mom.

Because of what she said, I was looking for love or someone to be my reason to live, until I met Chloe but until now I am still lacking something.

Damn! Until now, I still can't understand and find the love that Mom says.

My heart still hurts every time I remember Mom. I miss her so much. If only I could turn back time, I would be kind to her.

"Are you okay?" A voice came to my mind.

I turned to Amber.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I answered sadly.

We were about to turn the corner when I noticed that my car's brakes were no longer working!

"Damn!" I said trying to apply the brakes again.

"What's wrong?" Amber asked incredulously.

We were going down the downhill side of the road.

"Shit! I think my brakes were sabotaged!" I said I tried to slow down, but I couldn't control the speed of the car because the road was going down.

"What! How did it happen !?" Amber asked nervously.

"I think the wiring was cut, so it doesn't work or stick!" I explain.

"How's that? Both roads are full of ravines!" she said in a panic.

I opened the car door next to me.

"What will you do?" she asked in wonder.

"Let's jump!" I said holding her hand as I removed my seatbelt.

"What ?!"

"Come on, hurry up!" I pulled her into my arms, I removed her seatbelt.

My car is still going fast and will go straight down.

"Ready?" I asked hugging her.

"Ready for what?" she asked unbelievably.

"Let's jump together!"

I let go of the steering wheel of my car, hugged her tightly, cupped her head with my palms, and jumped out of the car.

I hugged her tightly as we rolled like tires on the road!

I closed my eyes and bear the pain.

Soon I heard the explosion below. I was dizzy, but I had to stand up to the side of the road, so we wouldn't be run over by some cars.

I supported Amber upright and as we walked along the edge of the cliff I saw my car fall into the ravine, and it was now burning.

Now I know why Harry sent me to pick Amber.

He intends to kill us both!
