Chapter 7: New Life

Confusion drew on my face as I heard Lara speak.

“You mean in this house?”

“Oh, no no no. She means that we live here in this town and our house was just around your land since we worked for the previous owner for a long time. We still took care of it even though we weren’t paid.” Mina sounded like Hella which made me smile.
