LOGINA/n: sorry for the late update. I haven't been well. Still recovering but can't leave you lot hanging. So here's one for tonight :)
Several days later. We were in the royal garden at our new and second training spot. This part of the garden was seldom frequented and even forbidden. But this was a good spot for us. Having regained almost all of my Alpha strength back, I still had to hide my passive aura, doing my best to appear as a meek rabbit, in other words, easy prey. The moon hung high and full in the sky, and the evening breeze duteously caressed our skin softly. Raylen and I had just finished exchanging a few minutes' worth of intense moves. He was now stronger than me, even in my prime, but tonight, he deliberately lost to me, just to obtain the reward I'd promised him from the bet we made earlier. If I had lost, I would have had to do crabwalk for at least a quarter of an hour at his chosen location and with his eyes gleaming with mischief earlier, I knew it might not be an ideal place. So, to tempt him to lose to me, I dangled the opportunity of a tasty kiss in front of him. But to earn that, he nee
…stood up from his seat.My eyes grew wide, and a hand flew to my mouth. So he could actually walk!?“I can walk, but for now, I choose not to reveal it. You are my mate, and I know you despise my father as much as I do. Meet me tomorrow evening in the royal garden, alone,” he stressed the last word. Before I could say anything, he had already seated himself in the wheelchair, and his assistant began to wheel him away.“I’ll be waiting for you, sweetie,” I heard him say before he and his assistant’s backs disappeared from view.I was still shocked, but then came happiness. So my mate wasn’t really disabled. It was good news. I had initially suspected he wasn’t cripple, but it was straight-up discourteous to ask someone in a wheelchair, ‘Dude, can you really not walk?’If I were actually wrong, that could have hurt his pride and made him reject me, no matter what I say afterwards. No, I wouldn’t want to lose such a handsome mate. He must have reasons for pretending he couldn’t walk, an
Keisha's POV...Unwilling to become a forced bride to the infamous Alpha Reid, I planned to escape at midnight. My room wasn't guarded, and I wanted to use that to my advantage. There was one other secret way out of the pack. As long as I got there, I could escape. Only Jenna and I knew about it. It was located behind the woodshed in the backyard of their home. If I were in my prime, getting there would have been super easy. But with my reduced strength, I'd have to rely on luck to get there. I just hoped Lady Luck would favour me tonight.Unfortunately, just as I peeked my head out of the bend in the hallway, I saw two beefy guards staring right at me, arms folded. The hallway's light was dim, but I could make out the expression of the first guard, who seemed amused."Ha, I won the bet, Xayne. I told you she'd come here. You owe me a hundred now. Hahaha!"As for me?I spun on my heel and ran as fast as I could, but how could I outrun trained werewolves with speed that was barely co
Keisha's POV ...He hurled the stone in my direction, and I nimbly dodged it while he quickly used this chance to free his Luna from her precarious position on the tree branch. "Oh my, she looks like a broken, ragged doll," I mocked. "How much will it cost and how long will it take to repair her? That is, if she can even be repaired,"Caspian had her sitting feebly on the ground with her back propped against him while he knelt on one knee. "Honey, are you alright?" he asked her gently as he draped his jacket over her shoulders, covering her upper body that previously had only a sexy lace bra providing little to no modesty. "B-baby..." she managed to mutter amidst laboured breaths. Now that she mentioned it...Cassandra had actually been wearing sleek, silver-coloured pants under her extravagant gown; these pants clung to her form and included high slits on both sides from the upper thigh, intricately laced all the way to her knees. And I hadn't bothered to take those off her; denud
Instead of exploding like I'd expected, she heaved a deep sigh and returned to sitting once more."You know what? You're right, honey. I'm responsible for pushing your friend to her death. I didn't just happily bed the king, knowing that she'd suffer; I often paid your friend visits and made sure to flaunt how good her mate was in bed. And of course, I dared her to fight me now that I was Luna if she wasn't satisfied. But how could someone already so distressed and heartbroken have energy to fight, huh? You know, the night before she took her life, I got someone to make her kneel outside your brother's quarters, and your brother was aware of her presence when he made the best love of my life to me. You know how satisfied I was to step out and see that miserable creature already keeled over with blood flowing down her lips? She must have suffered a lot since we fucked till dawn." After saying that, Cassandra burst into a manic, victorious laughter. Her words were meant to rile me up,
According to dungeon rules, a prisoner was to ingest at least two bowls of monkshood soup before being thrown in an assigned cell. This was done to prevent such inmate from manifesting their wolf or attempting to escape. In my case, though, due to me being of Alpha blood and how short my temper was recently, the skittish slammer guards had me finish five bowls of wolfsbane instead. Then, in accordance with my brother’s order, they took me to a cell, deep in the dungeon. It had a small, narrow door at the entrance.I had to get on all fours to enter after being chained at the hands, neck and feet. And soon the small door was shut. The cell was small, narrow, dark, damp and dirty. In one word, it was called a cesspool. This was the place other inmates dreaded as well. The only opening for air was the square-shaped aperture in the middle of the metal gate, and air was already not much in the dungeon to begin with, so I would surely contend with heat and mosquitoes. As for light? I didn’t
