Chapter 3

I don't want to be arrested because my Dad will really kill me. However, I don't know where I can find the secret passages of this club. I wandered my eyes around and I noticed the people on the dance floor, sitting on the ground and covering their heads with their hands.

"Shit. What should I do about this situation?" I mumbled to myself.

I saw a man wearing a police uniform. He was holding a camera with a full smile on his lips. He must be happy because he is going to arrest every one of us.

"Okay, everyone. Please look at the camera. We need a little bit of documentation for this case and some evidences. I can't believe ya'll having a party without knowing about the secret syndicate that has been running in this club," he spoke.

I was speechless after hearing him. I couldn't believe we entered a lion's cave. A lot of things happened this night. This is probably my unlucky day, obviously. I pushed the man away from me, but he still didn't wake up.

"What am I going to do to this sleepyhead!" I shouted.

This is totally making me lose my patience.

Three policemen were marching towards us. As they reached me, one of them placed a handcuff in my right hand, and the other one was in the sleepyhead's left hand.

"You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to an attorney. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court of law," the policeman in front of me said.

I wanted to tell them the truth, that I was innocent and that I didn't know about this syndicate thing in here. Should I say that? I really need to leave this instant. I don't want to be killed by Dad. He is a scary man and I don't think he will be happy with this. I should lower my pride for once, shall we?

"S-Sir, why are you handcuffing me together with this man? He is a stranger! I don't know him at all!" I shouted at them.

"Miss, if you don't know him, then why did you touch his face? He's probably your boyfriend," the policeman shook his head. "Youth these day are so disappointing."

They were about to leave, but I was able to stop them. I knelt on the ground and placed my both palms together.

"Please, I'm begging you, officer. I don't want to be killed by my Dad. Please, please, set me free. I promise I will never do this again, Sir. I promise you, so…please, have mercy on me," I said sadly at them. I was hoping it would work.

"Sorry, Miss, but we can't help you with that."

They left me. My charm didn't work on them. I guess, I should just accept my fate. This is probably my karma for lying to Mom.

A policewoman picked us up and asked us to follow her. Behind me was a policeman. It was hard for me to escape. We followed her while his head was resting on my shoulder.

"Are you deaf, mister? Please, take your head away from me or I'll cut it for you," I said.

I wanted to be calm, but this pervert beside me was hitting the small patience clinging to my soul. If only killing was allowed in this country, I would kill him right away.

"Stop shouting at me, Miss. This is all your fault after all," he spoke hoarsely.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. What was he babbling about?

"My fault, my foot. Are you stupid? This is your karma for taking my free vodka!" I exclaimed again. I will never stop pestering him, not until he takes his head off away from me.

"I saved a woman from getting raped today. I'm glad they arrived immediately," he said in a faint voice.

I halted and stared at nothingness. His words kept on banging inside my head. Was I saved from getting rape? All he did was to save me and then I acted bitchy towards him. I am such a bitch. Yes, I am, and I should not be proud of it.

"You know what, after hearing the news about this creepy place. I acted immediately. I need to stop guys like him from hurting women. You are the first woman I saved."

He suddenly placed his right hand on my left cheek. I could see it in his eyes. He was still dizzy, but he was fighting the urge. He stared into my eyes.

"You…you don't need to thank me. All I just want you to do is study hard and don't go clubbing again. Do you understand me?" he uttered.

I nodded my head as I agreed. He pinched my cheek and smirked. His smile was the best thing I saw today.

"Don't nod. Just say "understood, Sir!""

"Understood, Sir!" I shouted.

"Excuse me. We need to go," the policewoman spoke.

There was a deafening noise of clubbers complaining at these police officers, telling them that we are all innocent about these drugs and secret syndicate. However, the police didn't even try to open their minds and hear our statements. They all say the same thing.

"Okay, allow me to introduce myself. I am Detective Johannes Smith. Please, sew your mouths. How many times must I repeat myself?! Get a lawyer because they will be the one to handle your cases. You are not proven innocent until you present yourself with a lawyer and few evidences, okay?!" Mr. Johannes said.

"Sunshine, I've been searching for you. Finally, we found you, girl, and who is this guy beside you?" I heard Aime's voice behind me.

I turned around to my right, but found myself entangled with him. I moved closer to him as I couldn't turn about completely.

I glared at my friends.

"Oh, hi, bitches?!" I faked a smile on my lips.

Before they could open their mouths to explain, I saw my Dad walking down the hallway, bounding to me. A frown was visible on his wrinkled forehead. And my Dad was still wearing his black suite.

"Sunshine, you are such a disgrace in our family! Look at what you're wearing and I can't believe you are dating Mr. Kyle Zandrous Santos!" His voice resounded in every corner of the police station.

I think I'm gonna die.
