When Patrick felt pressured and opened his mouth to assure that Flavian had done nothing wrong, I became certain that whatever was happening, he had not betrayed me, and his intention, though misguided, was to protect me.

As the guys kept telling me everything that was going on and repeating over and over that Flavian was afraid I would leave him, I understood what he felt. I could understand his fear, but I couldn't understand why he didn't trust that my love was strong enough to handle it.
