CHAPTER TWO

Anna kept having the feeling that someone was following her as she made her way through the city. She was aware of the dangers in the werewolf community and the need to exercise caution.

She saw a narrow path which looked lonely, she decided to take that way to avoid being seen by anyone. It kept recurring to her that she was being followed, she kept flashing her eyes front and back to know if will see anyone.

Then she saw him. Edmond. He was tall and muscular, with piercing green eyes and a rugged look that made her heart race. She could tell that he was a werewolf and the alpha of his pack.

Edmond had seen her too, and he followed her with caution. He knew that humans were not to be trusted, but something about Anna intrigued him. He could sense her determination and her bravery, and he found himself drawn to her in a way he had never experienced before.

As the man approached her, Anna felt a mix of fear and excitement. She knew that the world of werewolves was dangerous, but she couldn't help the curiosity that was stirring inside of her.

"Hello, Anna," the man said, his voice low and gravelly.

"How do you know my name?" Anna asked, feeling a mix of fear and curiosity.

"I know a lot of things, Anna. My name is Edmond, and I am the alpha of my pack," the man said, his green eyes piercing into hers.

Anna couldn't help but feel drawn to Edmond, even though she knew that she should be afraid. She had always been fascinated by the world of werewolves, and now she was face-to-face with one of them.

"What are you doing here?" Edmond asked, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Nothing serious," Anna lied as she tried to avoid Edmond's eyes.

"You are not supposed to be here," Edmond replied while getting closer to her.

He held her hands "this place is not safe for you, let's go."

Anna hesitated for a moment but her curiosity got the best of her.

"Alright," she said and followed him.

As they walked down the street, Anna's heart kept pounding, she knew that she was getting herself into something dangerous, but she couldn't help the thrill that was coursing through her veins.

They finally arrived at Edmond's apartment "Welcome," Edmond said to her. Anna stepped into the apartment, her eyes scanning everywhere.

"Nice place," she replied as she sat on the couch.

"Would you like to talk?" Edmond asked as he sat beside her with his eyes locked on hers.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Anna's curiosity won out. She replied, "Yes, I would."

Anna sat across from Edmond in his cosy apartment, the warmth of the fireplace casting a soft glow on their faces. She couldn't help but be uneasy, knowing that she was treading on dangerous territory.

"So, how does it feel to be a werewolf?" she asked tentatively, breaking the silence.

She received a small smile from Edmond, who had amused eyes. "Well, it's not all howling at the moon and running in the woods. Like every other community, we have our own set of laws and customs."

Anna cocked her head in interest, "What kind of laws and customs?"

Edmond leaned back against the couch, his expression growing serious. "There are certain things that we just can't do, as werewolves. We have to be careful about who we reveal ourselves to, for one thing. Some humans wouldn't hesitate to hunt us down if they knew we existed."

"Interesting, but your community intends to invade the city and go after humans," Anna replied softly.

"That should be our rival pack, they have been encroaching on our territory for months now, and tensions are running very high. They plan to destroy our pack before hunting the humans. It's a complicated situation but we are doing our best to avoid a full-blown war. It's not easy," Edmond replied as his expression grew dark.

Edmond told her about the hierarchy of his pack, the customs they followed, and the dangers they faced every day. Anna was fascinated by his stories and found herself drawn to him more and more.

But as their conversation continued, Anna couldn't help but feel like there was something Edmond wasn't telling her. She sensed a darkness in him, a secret that he was keeping hidden.

Just as she was about to ask him about it, they heard a loud thud and shouts.

Edmond jumbled up and moved towards the window to see where the noise was coming from.

His demeanour changed immediately and Anna could tell that he was on high alert.

"We need to go," he said to her, his voice low and urgent.

They walked towards the door, Edmond opened the door subtly and they headed to the streets. Anna noticed that they were being followed. She could see the shadowy figures of men lurking in the alleyways.

"Edmond, who are these people?" Anna asked, her voice shaking with fear.

"They are our rival pack, they want to take over our territory," Edmond replied, his eyes scanning the street

As they turned a corner, The scent of the rival pack was in the air, and he knew he had to prepare for a fight. He could feel the energy building inside him, and he was ready for whatever that comes his way.

Without a word, Edmond shifted into his werewolf form, his fur bristling in the moonlight. Anna watched in awe as he charged forward, his teeth bared and his claws at the ready.

"Stay behind me," he growled to Anna, his voice low and commanding.

She nodded, her eyes wide in fear and anticipation.

Suddenly, the bushes rustled, and a group of five wolves stepped out into the clearing, their teeth bared and their eyes glowing in the darkness. Edmond could see the hatred in their eyes, and he knew they were here to fight and challenge his leadership.

Without a word, he launched himself at the largest wolf, his muscles rippling with power as he slammed into the other wolf. They tumbled to the ground, snarling and biting, while Anna watched from the sidelines, her heart pounding in her chest.

The other wolves joined the fray, attacking Edmond from all sides, but he was too quick for them, dodging and weaving as he fought back with all his strength. Anna could see the determination in his eyes, and she knew he would do whatever it took to protect his territory and his pack.

The wolves fought back, but they were no match for Edmond's strength and speed. Anna watched in horror as the wolves were tossed aside like rag dolls, their bodies broken and battered.

The fight raged on for what felt like hours, with the sound of snarls and growls echoing through the forest. Anna watched in awe as Edmond fought with all his might, his muscles straining with the effort.

When the fight was over, Edmond emerged victorious as the other wolves lost their lives in the fight. Edmond shifted back into his human form, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Anna approached him, her heart racing with fear and excitement.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her voice shaking.

"I'm fine," Edmond said, his eyes still scanning the street. "We need to get out of here before they come back."

Anna nodded, still in shock from what she had just witnessed. She followed Edmond as he led her through the streets, his hand tight around hers.

As they walked, Anna couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and danger. She knew that she was in over her head, but she couldn't help the attraction she felt for Edmond.
