CH-2, DON'T YOU FEEL SHAME

Lola answered, "Yes."

Serena's face darkened, "We weren't able to capture that biscuit. We haven't even got much clue as well. Although the things we have recovered gave us no clue about his location, but we can use that to declare him as a universal terrorist. Then no one can and will try to cover up for him.

"That's good to hear."

After they finished their dinner Sandhya and Lola went to the Adams harbor. Under the cold breeze of the night, they stood on the cliff near the duck.

Lola asked, "So, what's the real thing that you wanted to say? It's not really about that declaring thing, right?"

"Lola, can you please take care of her?"

Lola was perplexed.

"Why me?"

"It can only be you."

She sighed, "Fine."

"She is the one and only witness and clue we have for that incident. We just have to wait until she gets her memories back. She has promised me that she will help me punish those biscuits. And…"

In the howling winds of the harbor, she told Lola the secret which she can't let be known or else it will create a stir everywhere and the peaceful life Sandhya wants to live will never happen.

Hearing the information Serena told her Lola's eyes widened.

"Are… you sure, Sere?"

"Yep. Jane and Rem are going back to earth to investigate deeper into this. Since you are an unnamed member of mine and also my buddy, I thought I will let this slip to you. After all, all of us grew together and you have all the right to know about this."

"Is this the reason why you choose her to live here?"

Serena answered, "Not completely but definitely one of them."

Lola voiced her doubts, "About Sandhya's magic affinity… Sere you also know the fact that it could be just an irregularity. After all, she has just awakened her powers."

Serena answered, "Maybe, maybe not. That's the sole reason I am sharing this only with you. Because you are aware of this type of incident so you will understand what I'm trying to say. I would still want to report about this to HQ but Roland…"

"Roland? What does this have to do with him?"

"He is the one who approved me to take Sandhya in but he set a condition to see her Draoi test. I denied it. And he has set another condition that if I don't agree with this then I have to keep a request of his."

Serena rubbed her temples, "And I have no trust in anyone besides you guys. What if that biscuit had deployed people to know her whereabouts and to see if his experiment succeeded? That was another reason for me to bring her here. HQ won't interfere if she stays with you. This is for the best."

Lola asked, "What are you gonna do after this? Simply keep her with me and wait for her to regain her memories?"

A bright smile appeared on Serena's face when she thought about that moment, "Nope. She wants to be the strongest so that she can capture and kill those demons with her own hands. I as her sister must help and guide her, right?"

She looked at Lola's direction and continued, "That's why I have decided to let her join my academy. There she can do all those kinds of stuff that she wants legally, without any restraints."

She was thrilled, "After all our academy always welcomed students like her. She will be an exciting addition to my team. What do you say? I should never miss a chance to get a formidable ally."

Invisible sweat drops appeared on Lola's head when she saw Serena's enthusiasm. She tried to warn her, "It's a good idea. But you should never be too excited about this. As I had said this could be temporary. Don't feel dispirited if that happened. Besides, Will HQ allow this? I mean if in case any enemy noticed her, what are you going to do?"

Serena shrugged, "Don't worry that's not gonna happen. My intuition never failed. And my instincts say that she is going to be what she aspires to.

"And about HQ interfering in this, do you think they will? Rather I think they will be more than happy to let me do this."

Lola smiled, "Seeing you this confidence I won't interfere then."

"Miss Lola… Miss Lola."

Lola who was still in the flashback of that day woke up from her trance and looked at the person who was calling her with an indifferent face.

"Sandhya? What happened?"

"Please finish your breakfast. I am going to wash the dishes."

Saying this she got up from her seat towards the kitchen while Lola sat there dumbfounded.

After eating their breakfasts Lola and Sandhya set off to the biggest market of the city. Where everything is available from clothes to the stationaries. There are also big restaurants, bars, and lodging hotels. Both of them went to the supplier's store first then they went shopping for Sandhya.

After that Sandhya went to the library. She has been learning how to read and write their language and also was reading various books on world history. She was there to return some books and to borrow some as well. Serena had given her a black card through which she can access different libraries and books for free.

She was outside of the library when she saw some teens of her age were bullying a little girl. Several books were scattered on the ground around her. They had surrounded her and were playing with some books and were stepping on it which were of her.

Sandhya became angry when she saw that scene. She strode towards that crowd and said, "Did no one teach you that you shouldn't play with books?"

Those boys were startled when they heard Sandhya's voice. They haven't thought that someone will try to stop them. They were mad and one of them said enraged, "Who are you? How dare you to meddle? If you are here for work then go to 'your' work. We know what we are doing. Now scram!"

Those boys thought that Sandhya would go away while cowering in fear. Sandhya had no expression on her face like she had nothing to do with what he was saying. She just pushed the boy aside and went past them like they are strangers. She went to the girl and collected the scattered books and gave those to the girl.

Those boys were dumbfounded. The boy who had tried to scare her away was furious. He went to Sandhya and grabbed her collar and threatened her, "You have some courage for a shrub. I am warning you don't meddle in our business or else you will suffer with this little girl."

Sandhya still had no reaction on her face. She answered, "You said yourself that she is a little girl. Don't you feel shame trying to scare a small girl? What do you want?"

The boy sneered.

"Oh? Trying to play big sister here? Fine, you called for it yourself."

That boy turned his head to the quivering girl behind Sandhya and said, "Your luck is good today. This big sister is sacrificing herself for you. Why not try to run away in this meantime, because after we finish playing with her, we will come…"

He wasn't able to finish his sentence when a kick landed on his jaw making him cough blood.
