"I'm not leaving for home as yet. I'm going to watch a soccer game. Our team is competing against another school." Tori informed me when we walk through the halls on Thursday at the end of school.I look over at her and lifted a quizzical eyebrow. "A soccer game? I've never seen you go to a soccer game at this school before. Since when are you interested in soccer?" I inquired."Stephanie invited me to come and watch her play." Tori replied."I didn't know Stephanie is on the soccer team." I mused just as we steppe from the school's building and out into the parking lot."Yes." Tori nodded. I stopped walking and turned to face her. I noticed that she was sporting a wide smile on her face."Why would Stephanie asked you to come and watch her play?" I asked in suspicion. I continued to look at her confused for a few seconds, before all the puzzle pieces began to fit into place in my mind. "Wait a minute. Is there something that you need to tell me?" I ask, giving her a look that says 's
Shocked at Tyler's revelation, I turned around completely to face him. "What do you mean?" I asked tentatively afraid to broach the topic.Tyler took a deep sigh before he sat on the porch steps. I walk over to where he was and sat beside him. "I didn't want to talk about her because I wanted to leave her in the past."I sat quietly beside him, waiting for him to continue. It took a few seconds, but he did. "Two years ago, I met Andrea. She did not go to our school. I met her at one of my parents' family dinners. Her family was a close friend of ours." He paused for a while before he continued. "We started dating a week after we met. Andrea was perfect and everything was going great. Everyone liked us together as a couple.""So, what happened?" I asked quietly."I don't know. She just ended it. Six months into our relationship, she just came to me one day and said that she has found someone else. She did not give me much details; she just left. A few days later, I saw her and her new
As I got to history class, I saw that the room was already filled with students. I looked around the classroom for a seat and regrettably, I saw that the only available seat was beside Logan.I was good in avoiding him these past weeks but now the universe decided to work against me. I sigh inwardly and walked over to the seat to the right of him. I didn't make eye contact with him at all. I held my attention in front of me on the seat and continue walking. After what seemed like an eternity, I finally reached the seat and sat down. I got my books ready for class and pretended like he wasn't there. I've been doing this every time in history class, but now that he was actually sitting beside me, it won't be that easy. However, I'm going to try my best. I'm just going to ignore him for the entire class time. Yes, I could do that. That plan went down the drain when I heard Logan spoke up. "It's been a while since we sit together. I've missed that.""Don't get used to it." I retort still
"Where are we going?" I asked Tyler for the umpteenth time.It was a week later, Friday and ever since we left school, Tyler has been driving me to an unknown destination. He didn't even tell me anything, but instead of turning in the direction of home, he took a different road. When I had asked him where we were going, he just told me that we are going somewhere, but he refused to share the location with me."You'll soon find out." Was his response now."I don't understand why I have to go with you." I replied."Because, it will be great." He said as if that answered my question.I crossed my arms over my chest and stared in front of me. "Well why you won't tell me? You're such a meanie."Tyler took a quick look in my direction and then chuckled. "I know."After driving in silence with me watching the surroundings to our destination, the car finally pulled to a stop. I also noted that it took us thirty minutes to get here. I craned my neck to look out the window of the parked car.
Tyler's POV"Where did you and your father go today?" Seth asked me, his attention focused on the screen in front of him as he clicked the game control violently trying to beat my character.Without losing focus either, I answered. "We went on a road trip.""Ahh I see. I bet that was awesome." Seth replied and I nodded."It was cool." I confessed. The day spent with my dad today was indeed awesome. Dad had stood by his promise and came to visit me early this morning at around six o' clock. We spent almost the entire day out as Dad stopped everywhere during the trip. It was an amazing day, which wasn't really surprising. I really like hanging out with him because we always have an amazing time. When Dad brought me back home, it was two in the afternoon. I came over to Seth's house after because we had planned to watch a football game on the television. However, the game wasn't schedule to start until four o' clock, so we've been here killing time playing video games since then."Oh yes
Emily's POVI groaned inwardly as I tried to get my locker to open. I've been here for the past five minutes fighting the lock but it seems to be jammed. The school really needs to do something about these old lockers.I decided to rattle the lock, but it still didn't budge. After I rest my knee in the locker and used my fist to pound it, I finally got it to open. However, as soon as it opened, a few of my books fall out to the ground.Sighing heavily, I stooped down to gather my fallen books."Tell me, what did your locker do to you?" I heard a voice say. I looked up to see Tyler standing in front of me with a teasing grin on his face. I was so caught up with gathering my books that were scattered all over the floor that I didn't noticed when he walked up."It seems to not like me for some reason." I answered before continuing to get my books. Tyler chuckled lightly then helped me to pick them up. When we were both standing up again, I took my mathematics writing book as well as my t
"Just give me a few minutes. I'm going to return Tori's book to her." I said to Tyler as we walked to his car at the end of school.I remembered that I had borrowed Tori's biology text book and she was going to need it for her homework tonight."Sure, I'll be waiting by the car." Tyler replied.I nodded my head and turned in the direction of the football field where Tori said she would be.When I got closer, I saw her sitting on the bottom of the bleachers talking to Stephanie. I walked over to them."Hi Stephanie." I said when I reached where they sat.Stephanie looked up at me and smiled. "Hi Emily.""You've got a next match coming up soon?" I asked her.She nodded her head. "Yes, our next match is next week Friday. We'll be playing against an undefeated school, so we're practicing everyday this week.""That's cool. I hope you beat them." I replied."That's our plan." She grins."Stephanie is very optimistic." Tori interjected with a smile."Yeah and if we don't win, at least we'll
Tyler's POV"Hello Andrea." I replied looking at her, wondering if she was actually standing here. But she was indeed standing on the doorstep, smiling as if she had forgotten what she did two years ago. She looked every bit the same as she did before she left."What are you doing here?" I demanded. She lifted her eyebrows curiously at me. "Is that how you're going to greet me after not seeing me for almost two years?" She asked. "Come on, let me in.""What are you doing here?" I repeated, not giving her an invitation to come in.Ignoring my question, she shift her head to the side to look behind me. "Who's that?" She asked.Realizing that Emily was still sitting on the couch in the living room, I turned around to look at her. She stood up and walked over to the door."I think I better go, Tyler." She said."No stay." I said. Andrea was going to leave soon anyway. I had no intention of keeping her here for long. However, Emily shook her head. "No, I have to get home anyway. I'll talk
