Lovette's POV

I and Micah were ready to leave Hayden's kingdom. I opened the door, and Hayden was standing there. "Hayden..." I said his name with a smile, which he returned.

"I'll miss you." He said, his lips turning down, and I couldn't help but rush into his arms for a hug. "I will see you soon, brother," I mumbled, breaking the hug, and Hayden chuckled.

Micah soon joined us, his right hand wrapping around my waist, and his gaze upon me.

"Micah." My mate turned to look at my brother, and they both looked at each other for a while before Micah chuckled.

They shook hands, and Micah spoke up. "Once I get to my castle, I will send you the plans on the war. This is our battle to fight, Hayden."

Hayden nodded once more, and I grabbed my mate's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, then turned to Hayden. "Be safe," he mumbled, and I smiled at him. "I will."

The gates of the castle were open, and when we were outside, Micah turned to look at me. "You will ride my back."
