Chapter 41

Micah's POV:

The door to the meeting room swung open when the guards saw me. I could feel their wolves submitting fully to me, while mine puffed his chest in pride. My beta and the other war planners were all seated, and immediately stood up when they noticed my presence in the room.

I took a seat at the head of the table, my hands curling around the handle, and released a deep sigh as I looked at the men in the room. My eyes landed on Leonardo, whose gaze would not move from me, but before I could speak up, my Beta did.

“Alpha King,” he started, drawing my attention towards him. “What are we to do about our enemies? They keep attacking the small packs.”

The others began to murmur in agreement, and I stared at them blankly. “If you think I am going to do nothing about it, then why am I seated here?”

The room went silent, and the Head of the Guards cleared his throat and turned to me. “We do not doubt you, Sire, but the people are scared.”
