Micah soon left after I kept silent when he said those words. I took a towel from the bathroom drying up my body before entering the room. I wondered what I would wear and surely, I couldn't put on my dirty clothes that had the stains of my mothers blood on it. I was grateful to see some clothes laying neatly on the bed and quickly put on the blue shirt.
I had the trouser half way through my ass when the door was pushed open making me snap my head towards the intruder. The same girl from earlier came in with a tray of food in her hands and when she looked up, she noticed me struggling to fit my ass in the pants and quickly look at her feet with a blush coating her cheeks and neck.
"Come in" I mumbled sarcastically and with a huff I zipped up the zipper at the front of the pant.
"Sorry" Fallon murmured in a whisper as she shift on her right hips.
I looked over to the tray that was sitting on the coffee table and picked up the warm bread and shove it in my mouth.
I never knew I was this hungry until I took another bite humming to myself. I cast a glance at Fallon who stood with her back hunched staring at a stain on the floor.
"Would you like some?" I asked her with a piece of bread stretched towards her. She looked at the food in my hand before swallowing down saliva.
"I shouldn't" She whispered tucking her brown hair behind her ear.
"Well, I insist" I urged while sitting on the bed comfortably.
She cast a glance at the door having an initial battle with herself and with a sigh and hesitation she took the bread from my hand and ate the food in a rush.
"Have some more" I motioned to the food which consisted of about eleven pieces of bread, a glass of milk and water and some scrambled eggs.
She moved timidly and sat on the floor and I frowned at that. "You can sit on the bed" I mumbled and she blushed.
"Alpha King wouldn't want my scent on his bed"
I shrugged as well both continue eating. We talked as we ate and I learned that she has been working in the castle since she was ten and we were both the same age. She has a younger brother of eighteen who works in the farm and both her parents were dead.
I was happy that she was comfortable enough to open up to me and I felt like we would become good friends.
"So where are we going?" I asked Fallon as we exit the room.
"The King has commanded I show you around the castle" She mumbled flattening her hand on her orange colored gown.
I hummed as she showed me around. I wasn't really interested at the things she points out. I have been in a castle literally half of my life although the castle here is far bigger and fantasy like than the one in the ruins I do not see a difference because everything are just long damn halls.
Something caught my eyes though and I cut off Fallons mumbling my grasping her arm making her halt.
"Who are they?" I asked pointing at the large frame hanging on the wall for all to see when they pass by.
"Their Majesty King Elijah and Queen Celeste" She muttered pointing at their names that were written ot the bottom of their pictures.
I had seen a picture quite similar to this but couldn't make out their faces because they've faded over time.
I've heard stories about them. How they ruled only their people and hid from the prying eyes of humans before a war broke out revealing the beasts they are.
Although they never never took over the world, their son did making half of the world submit to him.
"We should go" Fallon said after a while of staring at their pictures.
I noticed how a few maids were rushing with dishes and decorating materials.
"Is there a party?" I asked turning my head sideways to glance at the blue eye female beside me.
She blinked at me slowly before muttering a "No"
"Oh" I whispered dryly.
My curiosity got the best of me when two men carried two silver cups and wine. "The witches and the beasts are about to sign a treaty and become allies once again" She said with one brow perfectly crocked up at me.
"I thought they did that a long time ago" I mumbled more to myself but it seems Fallon thought I was talking to her.
She laughed like I was crazy, wiping the tears that had gathered in her eyes while I gave her a dry look.
"Do you live under a rock?" She asked before slapping her hands over her mouth and looked around in case someone heard her. "Sorry"
"No it's okay" I told her waving my hand and giving her a grin. Her shoulders relaxed and we continued walking.
"The war never ended. The beasts and witches were at war since the Alpha kings' father betrayed them but hopefully, it ends today" She sighed.
In silence we walked but stopped when someone called Fallon's name. We both turned around to see who it was.
From the height and elegant clothing the female was putting on, I knew she was one of the wolves.
Fallon lowered her head when the woman approached us in fright. "I asked of you two hours ago when have you been?" She sneered spit flying out of her mouth.
"S-sorry Madam Cleona, the King commanded I s-show his mate around" She stammered gesturing to me with her hand. Cleona's eyes moved towards me and she rolled them before they snap back to Fallon.
"I don't care, now come, I need you to bath me" And with that she turned around swaying her hips as she walked.
"Sorry madam Lovette, I have to go" She muttered with her eyes casted down and I frowned at that.
"Fallon!!!" Cleona yelled making us whine at how loud her voice was.
"It's okay," I said giving her a small smile even though she couldn't see it.
She ran catching up with the woman while I was left alone. I continued on with walking around and noticed how dark it has gotten outside.
"Fuck" I cussed under my breath and turned around trying to find my way back to the Kings chamber.
It seems like I was walking down the wrong hall but continued when I heard laughter. There was no one in sight and the only noise around me was from that of my shoe that hits on tie ground and the voices of men and women laughing and talking.
The door before me was quite huge and through the cracks a yellow light was shining from the light in the room.
I peeped through one of the holes and saw a bunch of people feasting. I looked at each faces in the room but stopped when I noticed a man producing a dagger out of his bag.
He held hatred in his eyes as he glared at the king and right before my eyes as Micah drank from his cup, the dagger went straight to his chest.
Lovette’s POV:I bit my lip as I remembered Micah’s words. “I love you my little wolf.” I smiled as I massaged my scalp with the shampoo, releasing a sigh as the spring water felt nice against my skin.It had been over two weeks since the war ended, and although it was over, Micah hadn’t come back to the castle since he and my brother were still taking care of the Dannas kingdom.Hands wrapped around me, and I raised my head out of the water, gasping and trying to push whoever it was away.“Shhhh. It’s just me,” he whispered.I paused as his hot breath hit my neck, sending shivers down my spine. “Micah,” I breathed out, spinning around to look at his face.“You’re back,” I grinned, and he cupped my face with his right hand.“I missed you,” he mumbled, his lips landing on the side of my jaw, and his other hand pulling me closer to him.I wrapped my hands around his neck and my legs around his hips. I bit my lip as I looked at his face, and he smirked, walking us to the edge of the pool
Micah’s POV“I choose him,” Lovette said, and my heart filled with love. Danna hissed, and the red snake wrapped around her crawled into her mouth, transforming her into a massive red snake.“Stupid girl!” Danna hissed, slamming her tail on the floor. I pulled Lovette behind me, trying to protect her.Drawing my sword, I aimed it at Danna, who only laughed. “You think you can defeat me?” she questioned. I had already shifted between wolf and man, enhancing my senses.I growled, baring my teeth. “We’ll see about that.”“Oh, how I’ve longed for this,” Danna hissed, her scales scraping across the muddy floor. “How king I have dreamed of destroying everything you and everything your father once loved,” she added, her voice laced with venom.Lovette held on to me, shaking with fear. I turned to her and whispered, “Run.”I placed the sword on my hips and shifted into my wolf, my eyes piercing gold. Before I could react, Danna’s massive body coiled around me, slamming me against the wall an
Micah's POVI stood at the top of a hill with my armor on, next to Hayden. We looked down at the Witches' kingdom that would soon crumble to the ground. I turned to Hayden and tapped him on the shoulder. "It's time."It was nighttime, which gave us an advantage against our enemies. We could see at night, but they couldn't. I turned around to my men, who were ready to fight, and spoke with my head held high."My brothers, today we fight not just for ourselves, but for our entire Kingdom," I declared, my golden eyes flashing with determination. "We will show these witches that our strength and courage cannot be matched and that our loyalty to each other and our land will never falter." I paused, looking at each of their determined faces. I took a deep breath and glanced at Hayden. They all roared in agreement, their spirits lifted, and my confidence unwavering. "We all know the plan, and together, we fight and we win!"They all raised their weapons in a salute to me, and with a fierce h
Micah's POV:The door to the meeting room swung open when the guards saw me. I could feel their wolves submitting fully to me, while mine puffed his chest in pride. My beta and the other war planners were all seated, and immediately stood up when they noticed my presence in the room.I took a seat at the head of the table, my hands curling around the handle, and released a deep sigh as I looked at the men in the room. My eyes landed on Leonardo, whose gaze would not move from me, but before I could speak up, my Beta did.“Alpha King,” he started, drawing my attention towards him. “What are we to do about our enemies? They keep attacking the small packs.”The others began to murmur in agreement, and I stared at them blankly. “If you think I am going to do nothing about it, then why am I seated here?”The room went silent, and the Head of the Guards cleared his throat and turned to me. “We do not doubt you, Sire, but the people are scared.”“He is right, Sire,” Andrea spoke up, her voic
Lovette's POVI and Micah were ready to leave Hayden's kingdom. I opened the door, and Hayden was standing there. "Hayden..." I said his name with a smile, which he returned."I'll miss you." He said, his lips turning down, and I couldn't help but rush into his arms for a hug. "I will see you soon, brother," I mumbled, breaking the hug, and Hayden chuckled.Micah soon joined us, his right hand wrapping around my waist, and his gaze upon me."Micah." My mate turned to look at my brother, and they both looked at each other for a while before Micah chuckled. They shook hands, and Micah spoke up. "Once I get to my castle, I will send you the plans on the war. This is our battle to fight, Hayden."Hayden nodded once more, and I grabbed my mate's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, then turned to Hayden. "Be safe," he mumbled, and I smiled at him. "I will."The gates of the castle were open, and when we were outside, Micah turned to look at me. "You will ride my back."I couldn't help but bl
Micah's POVI jumped out of my seat with a sneer. Lovette grasped my hand with fear in her eyes as the walls shook again."Micah…" she whispered my name, and I bent a little and cupped her cheeks in mine."I'll protect you," I said to her and placed a kiss on her lips.I followed Hayden out of the room and asked him what was going on."The Witches are outside the castle trying to bring it down. Turns out they have destroyed a few of my villages too," he growled, and I scoffed."Been there."Guards were moving all about the halls, and the others kept running for their lives."What do we do now?" I questioned as we stopped behind the closed door that was beginning to break off.Hayden's guards had already gathered behind us, and he turned his head to look me in the eye. "Help me protect my castle."I smirked as I felt my wolf's excitement as we prepared to attack, but I knew better than to let her take over completely. I needed to stay in control and make sure I didn't do anything too r
MICAH'S POVHayden led us to a room where Devina quickly drew a circle with white chalk on the wooden floor. She placed candles around it, murmuring words I could not understand as she lit them up.Devina took out a cup and a knife from her bag and walked over to Hayden, who was standing next to me by the wall and kept on chanting. He nodded at her and stretched his palm towards her.She quickly made a cut on his palm and a few drops of blood entered the cup. "Step into the circle and kneel," she said to me and placed the cup and knife in front of me."Adhuc mea vox in umbra terrae audita est, sed nunc verba mea tibi salutem ferent. Per sanguinem vitae, per spiritum naturae, per arcanum potestatemque aeternam, ego te medicabo." She chanted in a loud voice and walked around the circle.I blinked, balled my hands into fists as it felt like it became hard for me to breathe. I began to gasp for air, and every inch of my body felt like lava was poured on it. I groaned and growled as the pa
MICAH'S POVI held onto Lovette’s hand while the healer tried to save her life. She wasn’t getting any better. Hayden stood by the door with a frown on his lips as he stared at his sister.I still couldn't believe that he said My mate, Lovette was his sister. Hayden left the room, and after a few minutes, he came back.“Micah,” he said my name, and I frowned as I looked at him. He is the reason my mate is on this bed, fighting for her life.It felt wrong as I left my mate's hand and followed Hayden out of the room. We stood outside the door, looking at each other, and I had my hands crossed over my chest.“I will give you my blood,” he said after a heartbeat. “Only because I know that mates can help heal each other,” he added.I frowned again. Of course, I was delighted to finally get his blood after all these months, but the only reason this was happening was because of my mate.“It doesn’t work that way, Hayden,” I muttered while tossing a strand of hair that lay sticking on my temp
MICAH'S POVI held the hand of the innocent girl, who was pretending to be Hayden's mate. It was a risky plan, but at this point, I had no other choice. I needed to find my own mate, Lovette, to bring her home and I pray that by bringing the girl to Hayden and pretending she was his mate, I could trick him into sparing my life and letting us go.As we entered the castle gates, the guards looked at us warily but didn't stop them. I felt a knot in my stomach as we walked down the halls towards Hayden's throne room. I looked around the room with a frown. Hayden and his guards were the only ones in the room. When they finally reached them, Hayden was sitting on his Throne and i looked around wondering where my mate was. "Where is my mate?" I asked him, putting on a confident front while his lips turned down. But he said nothing, instead he slowly walked towards us, his eyes locked on the girl who was now shaking in fear with her head down.Hayden watched her for a moment, his lips turned
