XXIII

Everyone is at the cemetery where Jeff's wife and his only child are buried. He can't help but cry as he completely regrets his decision. Not the decision in which he killed his wife, but the decision in which he watched helplessly as his daughter was rammed by a random car. Thankfully, he was apprehended and taken to jail, but it's still useless to him because she died by the end of the day.The police didn't put Jeff in jail, thanks to article 247. He took a slow look at his daughter's coffin in the hole and dropped a red rose at her. Next, he went to his wife's grave where he threw a black dahlia and went back to his position as if nothing had happened. Kathy wants to talk to him, but she's too anxious to speak up, especially since it's not a good moment. They watch them dig the grave silently. As soon as the grave was finally set up, the people who attended started slowly leaving until Kathy and Jeff were the only people left. Kathy swallowed her fear and decided to walk up to him.

"Kathy, I don't think I need someone right now, can you please leave me alone for a moment?" Kathy nod and respect his request. She slowly look back at him and left the cemetery. She decided to walk to the police station since she left the car there. While she's walking, she accident bump someone.

"I'm sorry." She apologized, but the person he bumped suddenly ran away from her as if he was late or something. She saw the person drop a notebook, so she quickly grabbed it and chased after the person in the hope that she might return it to him.

"Sir, you dropped something." She tried to chase him down, but he'd already gone. She took a deep breath and decided to take it to the police office so she could hide it and search for the owner during her extra time. As soon as she entered, she noticed Agatha sitting at her office chair, which made her confused.

"Kathy, my friend, how are you?"

"What the fuck are you doing at my office table?" Kathy can't help but to ask her in an angry tone.

"Relax there, I know you're still stressed about your case and today's situation, but I'm here to, you know, be a friend with you. That's all. No case related, just let's be friends. "

"Why on earth do I want to have a friend who's a neglectful mother and a fucking hoe?"

"Well, at least someone wants to befriend a person who likes giving bullshit lies." Kathy was shocked after she heard that. "Anyway, where's Jeffy?"

"He's at the cemetery. His wife and only daughter died, and today is their funeral."

"Oh poor him. I can't imagine what it is like to lose the only daughter."

"Well, I know his reaction is not the same as yours. Anyway, get out of my fucking office chair. " Agatha silently left her office chair, and Kathy sat down in relief. Agatha decided to sit on Jeff's office chair instead.

"So you have a twin sister, right?" Agatha quickly asked her another question.

"I don't remember sharing that information with you. Where did you learn about that? "

"My father told me about it. He said he's one of the best detectives, yet you're also one of the best detectives in the Crite State Area. That means you meet each other during work time?"

"Of course not; three police stations are being built throughout the Crite State Area. I worked in the rural area for a couple of months before I decided to transfer here because I heard Katherine was working before, but only to discover that she decided to retire for personal reasons. After three months, I met her at the hospital. What a weird way to have a reunion with your twin, especially since the last time I saw her was during my childhood era. It was a good moment, but she needed to say goodbye to pursue her talent. I can't remember some of those details since it's already been a year since the last time we saw each other. But I didn't know she decided to join that reality show. " Kathy explained and gave a smirk at the end of her sentence. Agatha noticed something wrong with that sentence. She also looked at the notebook that Kathy was still holding.

"What's with that notebook you're holding?" Kathy looks at the notebook she's still holding.

"Oh, while I was walking back, someone bumped me and dropped this. I was like, return it to him, but he vanished, so I decided to keep it and look for the owner during my extra time. "

"Oh, just open the notebook."

"Maybe later."

Suddenly, Agatha stands up and lights her cigarette.

"Well, I have to go, Kathy. I have some men to fuck. Also, it was nice to know you for a while. "See you later, my amigo. " Agatha took a sip from her cigar before she left the police station.

"Bye, bitch." Kathy whispered under her breath and rolled her eyes before she started doing her documents.

OOO

As soon as Agatha left the police station, she decided to take a cigarette break in her car instead. Before she could enter the car, it suddenly exploded, causing her to get shocked.

"What the fuck?" She calmly reacts to what she has witnessed. Everyone decided to check what was happening, including Kathy, who ran from her office chair. She saw and understood the situation quickly, so she decided to check on Agatha.

"Agatha, holy shit, are you okay?" Kathy asked her, and Agatha nodded. "I didn't know someone was too desperately wanting you to die."

Out of nowhere, a random paper appeared in front of them. They looked at each other before Agatha decided to check the paper and it was a letter for her.
