5. Stefany's Sadness

Inside her room, Stefany sat alone on the edge of her bed. Her face was wet with tears that flowed incessantly. The sound of her sobbing filled the room, reflecting deep sadness and despair. She felt very sorry for her best friend, Daniel, who had just been scolded by her father, Mr. Frank.

Stefany felt her heart break seeing how harshly Mr. Frank scolded Daniel. She understood very well that her friend didn't mean to put her in danger or break any rules. They just wanted to spend time together and enjoy the beautiful moments on the hill behind the school, until the late afternoon.

However, Mr. Frank didn't understand or accept that explanation. He was too protective and worried about his daughter's safety. But, Stefany felt that Mr. Frank didn't see the other side of this story, which was the strong friendship between her and Daniel.

"Daniel, I hope you're strong enough to face my father's anger," she hoped in her heart.

"Daddy ...." Stefany said with a trembling voice. "I ... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you angry or ignore the rules that have been set," she said pleadingly.

Mr. Frank stared at his daughter very sharply, his expression full of anger. "Stefany, Daddy is very disappointed in you. Daddy has given you clear boundaries and rules, but you intentionally broke them. You can't go out with Daniel anymore in the future!"

Stefany tried to explain, "But Daddy, I ... I just wanted to spend time with my best friend. We didn't mean to break any rules or make you worry."

It seemed that Mr. Frank didn't want to hear Stefany's explanation. His face became more red and full of anger.

"That's not a reason that can justify your behavior, Stefy! You still broke Daddy's rules! Therefore, Daddy is giving you a punishment! You can't leave the house for a week! Starting from now!"

"What?" Stefany was very shocked and devastated to hear the punishment given by her father. Tears flowed again from her eyes, she felt that this punishment was unfair. The girl seemed to be restrained and unable to do anything she wanted.

"Daddy, that's too much!" Stefany shouted loudly, trying to defend herself. "Daddy I'm sorry, but I can't accept a punishment like this. What about my school? Do I have to skip for a week?"

"You have to follow all of Daddy's words! Period!"

Apparently, Mr. Frank didn't want to hear any defense from Stefany. He ignored his daughter's cries and roughly left her room. Stefany's bedroom door was slammed shut, leaving Stefany shaken and feeling alone.

Stefany felt deep despair. She couldn't understand why her father was so harsh and didn't want to hear her explanation. The girl felt trapped in an unfair situation and unable to oppose her father's decision.
