Hagne knew it.
She knew she made a mistake. What was she thinking anyway? Why should she let a seven year old girl go out by herself?. It was those deceptive eyes of hers, she was sure of it.
She had paced and paced and paced, waiting for her daughter to barge into the house with a smile on her face. But no, she had been waiting for over an hour and the small girl hadn’t shown up yet.
Hagne had attempted to pour the aggression on her other children, but with their painfully inherited cunning abilities, they had disappeared into their rooms and locked themselves in. The audacity!! She was their mother for heaven’s sake!
