Chapter one

Evelyn just woke up with a smile, anyway that had always been her style, because she has everything one could ever wish for. Caring parents, good brother, loved by the pack, and very beautiful, heralded as the most beautiful girl in all pack. They are wolves, her father is the Alpha and well respected, he is a good Alpha unlike stories of mean Alphas Evelyn hears about. People visit the Red moon pack just to see her and know if the rumor was true. They always ended up saying the rumor was a lie because she is more beautiful. Not that she boasts of her beauty, but she always spends her time alone. The beauty gave her jealous friends, so she was often alone or spending time indoors. Every good thing has its downside. With her black hair that is smoother than velvet and skin as white as snow, she is the jewel of the Red Moon Pack.

"The rumors did you no justice" she heard someone say behind her. Another visitor just to see my beauty, these were the exact thought of Evelyn and she wasn't wrong.

"Good morning sir" she greeted him once and turned, he looked like he was in his mid forty, Evelyn could feel his powerful Aura. He must be an Alpha, she thought

"I am Alpha Turner, from Crescent Moon pack" he introduced himself

"You already here" Evelyn heard her father's voice. He smiled at her and she returned the gesture. George looks strong and powerful. His powerful looks were also a testament to the power of the Red Moon Pack. Unlike his daughter, he has blond hair which is neatly cut, and his beards well-trimmed.

"Yea, if not because of mate bond and all, I would sure want your daughter to marry my son," Alpha Turner said and George smiled. This wasn't the first time he had something like this. Some are even so shameless as to ignore the mate bond.

"Come on let's get to business," George said and they both left. Wolves are destined for someone, that is their mate. One can only know their mate once they turn 18, even if your mate was someone you see always, and he is already 18, you guys won't know until you both turn 18. So, some remain pure till they find their mate, while some don't. Evelyn was among those that wanted to keep her purity. She was already 17, would be turning 18 in the next 3 months. Everybody was curious to know who her mate would be. She always received letters from guys saying they know that they would be her mate. Evelyn had always fantasized about her mate, just like every other unmated fun had. She doesn't care if he was handsome, she just wanted him to be romantic, play with her, bring her roses in the morning, take an evening stroll with her.

"Here goes the jewel of the pack" She heard Anita mocked had. She just gave her an eye roll and kept walking. Most girls hated hanging out with her, saying they don't want to be overshadowed by her beauty. At first, she tried to make them see reasons with her,

"I am not just a beautiful girl." She would always try to make them see reason but they didn't. After years of trying she gave up and ignored them. Now she is a happy beautiful girl.

She went into the forest, that's where she loves spending time the most since she has no friends. She now made friends with nature. After looking around and making sure she was alone, she pulled off her cloth and transformed into a wolf. Wolves always have their first transformation at the age of 15. Her wolf is brown, just a normal plain wolf. She was always thankful that it is not white, else it would be another special reason to be hated by her peers. She sprinted off after transforming. Her wolf name is Eve and she loves going on the run,

"It has been long" Eve said telepathically to her

"Yesterday is not long," Evelyn replied

"It is to me," she said and they both laughed. After the run, she transformed back and wore her cloth.

She heard a tweak and instinctively went on a defensive stance. The thing about being a wolf is they often get a Rogue attack. She sniffed but didn't smell anything. Rogue always has a foul smell, but she was not smelling anything, not even wolf smell, or animal, but she was sure someone or something was there.

"Be careful" Eve warned her as she went closer to the noise. She was scared but being an Alpha's daughter gives her courage.

"Please don't hurt me" she heard the person say, from the voice it was a boy, a scared boy.

"Come out and I won't," she said bravely as a result of hearing the scared voice. She wondered why she could not smell anything from him, not even a human smell. Was he using some scent repellant, Evelyn thought to herself. On getting nearer she could hear his heartbeat and breath, that was the ability wolves have, super hearing. He now stepped into the light, he looked scared, dirty, and hungry, her heart tugged at his condition

"What's your name," she asked

"Blake," he replied while trying his best to avoid eye contact

"I am Evelyn?"  She said, she wanted to ask him which pack he was from, but she felt he might not be a wolf "where are you from" she asked instead.

"From blood moon pack,"  that's one of the most brutal packs. Evelyn always heard of them, but it was far from here, so she wondered how he came to be here.

"Then why are you here?"

"I am exiled," he said and Evelyn felt pity, who could exile such a young boy, he looked her age, but so skinny, she knew it was because of hunger.

"Since when?"

"2 years," he said,

"So you are a rogue," That was what they call wolves without a pack and they are always dangerous, but she sensed no danger from him.

"Yes," he said barely above a whisper, I need to go feed him first before anything. That's was Evelyn thought after seeing how weak the boy was.

"Come with me" she offered, he looked at her and contemplated, after a brief moment he decided to follow her as the worst thing that could happen is death and if he stay alone any longer he would be dead soon. Either by Rogues or hunger or a pack that just hates rogues. He even considered himself lucky to have met Evelyn. Her beautiful face was considered a blessing and when Blake first saw her, he thought he would die happily if her face was the last thing he saw.

"Why didn't I smell anything from you,"  she asked since it's impossible.

"I am latent," he said and it all made sense

"Oh" was her only reply.
