Cut from the same Material

"Who are you boy" Alpha barked at him and he gasped and knelt, so did Evelyn. For a moment she wondered why she was also kneeling but it wasn't long for her to get the answer.

'Oh because I brought him home'

"I did dad, I saw him in the forest helpless so I decided to bring him home," Evelyn answered her brother Luke came in that instant. He gave Blake a disgusting look

"What's your name," he asked and his Alpha Aura that he inherited from his father propelled Blake to answer immediately.

"I am Blake, formally from blood moon pack" he answered stuttering.

"Are you a wolf?" he asked, it confused him since he can't sense anything from him.

"He is Latent," the Alpha answered. Alpha Eugene had never seen a latent in all his years, he even thought it was a legend and even now it was hard for him to believe the person standing in front of him is latent. Though he heard of the story about the latent son of the Blood Moon pack he never believed it.

"So you are the latent son of blood moon Alpha" Luke Smirked, just like his father he had also heard of the story.

"How did you know?" Asked the Luna.

"I heard it like a year ago, the Alpha banished his son because he is Latent. I thought it was just a rumor," he said and walked up to Blake. Blake is taller but he was so thin that his height meant nothing and he was the one being intimidated.

"Leave him be," said the Luna, stopping Luke from whatever he was about to do "as you can see the boy is harmless so he is going to be staying with us," she said and relieve flush over Evelyn, though her father is Alpha and rule the pack, Luna rules him.

"Angel but" He tried to argue

"No buts, Evelyn show him to his room," Evelyn took Blake with her, leaving her parents to argue.

"Don't worry, my mom is the king around here," she said reassuring Blake and he gave her a weak smile.

The Luna convinced her Husband, she didn't even try. She had that power over him. Evelyn was so happy at how things turned out. Evelyn went to sleep feeling fulfilled and proud of herself and Blake couldn't sleep at all that night. His lack of sleep was a result of his years wandering alone in the wilderness always on guard and being afraid of what would happen next. He was glad for the roof over his head and the soft bed his back was against and for the dinner he just had. But not even all these could make him feel safe and he knew so he didn't even try instead he decided to think about his day all over again. He remembered the beautiful face of Evelyn, it was her beauty that made him stuck and unable to leave like he used to. He first smelled her picked her smell and it was lime. Blake never thought anything about lime but all of a sudden he feels like it's the best scent in the world. Gradually, he felt his eyelid becoming heavy, and just like that he fell asleep with Evelyn's gentle smile the last thing he thought of.

"What are you doing?" Evelyn asked Blake. She woke and saw him scrubbing, everybody already left and Evelyn knew it for a fact, not because she sensed it but because nobody was around by this time

"I just want to be useful around here," he said and continued.

"Come on you are no servant,"

"I know, I am done almost," he said. She decided to leave him be and go to get breakfast for herself

"Have you eaten?"

"No" he answered and Evelyn decided to make for the both of them. After their breakfast, Evelyn frowned as she realized she had nothing to do, she had nobody to hang out with. It was the same as every other day and she thought she would've gotten used to it by now but she thought wrong.

"Why the long face," he asked. 'So he noticed' Evelyn thought.

"Nothing, just I have nothing to do, I am bored."

"Well, there are two of us here, so let's make the best of it," he said and Evelyn smiled. Blake felt it was only proper for him to make her smile after she had done so much for him and she looks good when she smiles.

"So, what do you propose we do," she asked but before he answered an idea struck Evelyn. "let's play hide and seek"

"I will always win," he said confidently and it wasn't misplaced.

"What makes you so sure,"

"I have a heightened sense." His words made Evelyn remember his unusual heightened sense.

"Prove it by finding me." She took off, as a wolf, she fast, very fast. He will have a hard time catching up since he is latent, Evelyn thought to herself. She ran to the bush, the one she found him, she then hid behind one tree. The tree hid her well and she doubted if he would find her quickly.

She kept waiting, she was nervous, she could feel her heart pounding but it wasn't because of fear. She wanted him to find her, she kept looking at the way she came and she felt was taking him too long.

"You miss me" She heard him say behind him, she smiled before turning to him

"What took you so long."

"You ran pretty fast, for a latent it was difficult to catch up." he said then looked around, "here is where you found me" he pointed in the direction.

"Yea" Evelyn felt his mood saddened so she took it upon herself to make him happy. She figured they only have themselves to play with and she hasn't had a playing partner in a long time.

"Can you swim?" She asked and he smiled.

"Like a fish" he answered and they both walked down to the stream behind the forest.

On getting there Evelyn removed her cloth leaving only her inner wears,

"Wow" she heard him say then she turned to him. He had his eyes on her, he already removed his cloth too, wearing only his inner-wear. He looked so thin, but Evelyn knew with time he would be so handsome she was even jealous of whoever his mate would be.

"Have you ever thought what your mate will be like?" She asked as they both moved deeper into the stream.

"Not really" he answered.

"Are you not excited to meet her?"

"Nop" That was Evelyn's first time hearing such because everybody always talked about meeting their mate with much enthusiasm.

"Really? I always dream of meeting my mate, strong, handsome, and romantic," she said dreamily and he laughed

"You will dear, you deserve the best."

"Why are you not excited to meet yours." she was genuinely curious

"You see dear, we live in a world where the weak get bullied, I happen to be the weakest. So, why would I be excited to meet someone that I can't even protect. I hear mate bond is the strongest and we will always protect each other, how can that be possible with me a Latent. I will be happy if I have no mate." he said and swam away, Evelyn stood on my spot. She understood what he meant, still it saddened her. It would be considered childish or even stupid if anyone could see how much the words affected Evelyn. They have only known each other for a day but she felt like it's been ages, she couldn't explain it but she felt she was cut out of the same material with Blake, and she wasn't the only one having such thought.
