After dinner, the two of them went to their room. Devin's words kept ringing in her head. She might have read books on worse things the male leads had said to their female counterparts but nothing prepared her for the real deal. It was as though she were in a story and Devin was the main character. She couldn't think about anything else but him.

"Do you want anything? I'm going out to get a snack." He asked her, searching his wallet for some money.

"Nothing out of what you want to get. A snack and juice or yoghurt. Gotta be awake for my marathon reading tonight." She replied with a normal tone, not wanting to make the atmosphere between them awkward. She felt grateful he wasn't looking at her. Her face was flushed, like tomato-red flushed.

Where had the bold, fearless Ayra disappeared to? A moment ago, she could look at his face and speak clearly but now, she was hiding. As soon as she heard the door closing, she slapped her cheeks with both palms.

"Keep it together, you whore. It

One thing was for sure. This person had been around her. But in the past few hours, many people had spoken with her. Either they were talking about the weather or the food or something random. So, who was he referring to? It could also be himself he was referring to. Not wanting to stress her poor head thinking about a variety of options, she went to the counter to pay her bills but was told Vincent already did so. When? She thanked them and went her way. She decided to explore town and when she was tired, she boarded a cab back to the pack house. She just wanted to throw herself on the bed and fall asleep instantly. Luckily, she didn’t meet any of the sisters. Heaving a sigh of relief, she strode to her room and locked the door. As soon as she finished taking off her shoes, a notification popped up on her phone. “I’m dying. Come rescue me.” Sent with a crying emoji. She laughed after reading Devin's text. She laid on the bed, her legs hanging in the air as she replied, “Sorry a

Ayra stared at the text, lines of disbelief drawing on her perfect face. The body of the text indicated that it came from a woman. Was he with another girl? Her head was arriving at different conclusions but she tried to remain calm and level-headed. She didn't want to jump into conclusions but the anger she felt was inevitable. She didn't bother replying to the text or call him to find out what was going on. She ate the food she had made earlier and hit the showers for a nice, warm bath. She kept glancing at her phone to see if Devin would call her and say it was a joke. But nothing. Just that text. She went to bed and closed her eyes, sleep immediately taking over her. Probably because she just wanted the torturing night to end quickly. She couldn't tell what he was doing at that moment. **Morning came and Ayra rolled out of bed. She wasn't typically a morning person but the thoughts of Devin didn't let her sleep much. She was beginning to regret everything that had happened u

While unpacking, Ayra's phone beeped with a notification. She looked at the screen to see that it was text from Devin. She fought so hard not to read it because she wasn't on talking terms with him. But her phone never stopped beeping. "What's his problem?" She groaned and picked up her phone but as she read the text, an unwanted smile crept onto her face. When she caught herself, she smacked her puffy cheeks gently. "Don't you dare smile!" He had texted her to meet him at a particular location in the evening. It was still afternoon and after unpacking, she laid out her dress for the date. It was still three hours until their meeting time, so she went out of the room to explore the house a little bit. And also look for something to snack on. The house was quite large and empty, or so she thought. As she progressed toward the kitchen, she heard subtle movements. Without hesitation, she opened the door to meet the housekeeper taking out something from the top wooden cabinet. "Hi,"

Devin was the last to sleep last night and was woken up with a kiss from Ayra in the morning. She was on top of him, kissing his neck down to his chest. "Can't get enough of me?" He chuckled lowly. "Not really. Just wanted to see how long it would take for you to wake up." She was lying. She wanted his fingers inside her again and something much, much bigger than fingers. His palms rested on her waist and caressed all the way down to her round arse. "Can you wear this for me next time? Without your pants, that is. I don't like restrictions." He tugged on the edges of her underwear before taking off her nightwear, leaving her breasts dangling over his face. Her pink nipples were hella inviting and the way she looked at him didn't help. "You said you were going to..." She wasn't able to complete her sentence and just ended up looking away shyly. "Fuck you till you can't walk? Yeah... But not now, baby girl. We still have a long way to go." He turned her until she was lying on her

The drive was silent at first. It was either that nobody wanted to say anything or there was nothing to talk about. Ayra's spirit was conflicted. Was something bad going to happen again? She felt uneasy but not enough to send chills down her spine like the last time. "Where are we even going?" She asked Devin who hadn't looked away from the road for the past twenty minutes. "Really? You agreed to follow me and you don't know where I'm going. That's dangerous, you know." "You can take me back, you know. It's not too late." She shifted her position so she could face him properly. He finally looked at her after she made that statement. "Don't tempt me, Ayra. I'm driving." Ayra loved the way her name rolled off his tongue. And not to mention how deep and strong his accent was. Her mind was already wandering off to unholy places just by listening to his sultry voice. "How am I distracting you? I'm just here, minding my business." She crossed her legs and adjusted her short skirt. De
