Alisha trembled with fear, helplessness, guilt.
He backed up until he couldn't take it anymore. He swallowed hard that it even hurt. She couldn't call him, his scent had changed and more than attracting her it made her shudder to want to get out of there.
He didn't know what he had been injected with but whatever it was, the intention was for him to take it against his will. And Blaren could be identical to his brother, with some differences that one could realize over time, but he was not his partner, that person who could feel her even when he did not want to and who for the first time longed so much for him to be by his side.
