Minutes later Loque Bella and her sister bridesmaids were ready to leave for the church. Covered with the veil falling over her face, she was helped into her white and flower decorated wedding carriage by her sisters and together they rode down the road to the church; with the village people, men, women and even children, standing in the sides of the road waving to the carriage and throwing petals into the air and Loque Bella inside the closed carriage waving back at them.
A moment later they arrived at the church and Loque Bella's sisters helped her out of the carriage and up the steps of the church where father was standing nicely put together in a brown suit waiting for her. He saw her and his eyes immediately began to water.
"My love," father said.
"Hello father," Loque Bella said and they shared a warm hug.
"Oh my goodness, it's like looking at an angel. My love, you look so beautiful."
"Thank you father."
"You are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen," he said looking at her and then hugged her again.
"Thank you father."
"Goodness gracious, you look just like your mother. You look just like her."
"No no no father stop, do not make me cry," Loque Bella said gently pulling away from him.
"You're going to make her smudge her make up what's the matter with you," Ida said and they chuckled.
"I'm sorry she just looks so beautiful," father said.
"Alright so tell her that don't bring up mother, what's wrong with you," Kima said and they laughed.
"You girls brought mother up too didn't you?"
"You will never be able to prove that," she said and they laughed on.
"Alright alright we're here, let's get inside, we have a wedding to attend," Ida said and they rushed into the foyer of the church. Loque Bella and father stood a good distance away in front of the closed double door that led into the main church area as Ida, Kima and Miro fluffed her dress and veil to get her proper presented to walk down the aisle. When they were ready one of the guards standing by the door signaled the ones on the other side with a gentle knock that the bride had arrived and that she was ready.
"Ladies and gentlemen . . . The bride," one of the guards on the other side of the doors announced and they all turned to the doors which the two guards then opened. Ida, Kima and Miro walked in in a single file with small bouquets in their hands and walked all the way to the front where they went and stood by the bench in the very front.
Just then Loque Bella walked in with father and they began to make their way down the aisle as the violinists began playing the wedding tune and everyone in the church shot to their feet and watched her; with warmness in their eyes and smiles on their faces.
Prince Callum was in the front, well dressed in a dark blue jacket, a silver waist coat, a golden scarf, white pair of trousers and black high boots, and watching her walk down the aisle towards him, his whole being lit up; he had never seen anyone look more beautiful in his entire life. Queen Roselyn was here too, sitting on the front bench on the other side of the aisle and seeing her coming her heart was warmed; she had already envisioned her as a bride but what her mind conceived was nothing compared to what she actually looked like; she looked so beautiful, her diamond necklace and golden pearl earrings sparkling under the light that was coming in through the high windows.
Father walked Loque Bella all the way to the front where Prince Callum and pastor was standing and after lifting her veil to kiss her on her cheeks, gave her to the prince who helped her up onto the wide step he was on and then went to stand next to his daughters.
"You may be seated," the pastor said wearing a white robe and everyone in the church sat down. "Dearly beloved we are gathered here in the sight of God and in the face of the company of witnesses to join together this man Prince Callum and this woman Loque Bella in Holy Matrimony. Which is an honourable estate, instituted by God, signifying unto us a holy union binding this man and this woman as one in Jesus Christ," he then said as Loque Bella and Prince Callum just stood there looking at each other; holding hands and faintly smiling to each other, with Loque Bella then shying away and looking down. "Prince Callum do you take this woman to be your wife, to love her and live together with her in Holy Matrimony for as long as you live?"
"I do," Prince Callum answered.
"And do you Loque Bella take this man to be your husband, to love him and live together with him in Holy Matrimony for as long as you live?"
"I do," Loque Bella answered.
"My prince if you would repeat after me. I take this woman as my lawful wedded wife."
"I take this woman as my lawful wedded wife," Prince Callum repeated.
"To lover her."
"To love her."
"To comfort and honour her," the pastor said.
"To comfort and honour her."
"To keep her in sickness and in health."
"To keep her in sickness and in health," Prince Callum repeated.
"And to put no one else above her till death do us part."
"And to put no one else above her till death do us part."
"Thank you your highness. Now if you would repeat after me Loque Bella. I take this man as my lawful wedded husband," the pastor said.
"I take this man as my lawful wedded husband," Loque Bella said.
"To love him."
"To love him."
"To comfort and honour him," the pastor said.
"To comfort and honour him."
"To keep him in sickness and in health."
"To keep him in sickness and in health," Loque Bella said.
"And to put no one else above him till death do us part."
"And to put no one else above him till death do us part."
"Thank you," the pastor said. "Shall we have the rings please?" he then asked and Ida came forth and gave the rings to them and sat back down. "Thank you. Prince Callum if you would repeat after me. I give you this ring as a symbol of my abiding love."
"I give you this ring as a symbol of my abiding love," Prince Callum said and slid the silver blue sapphire ring with a white diamond halo onto her ring finger.
"Loque Bella if you would repeat after me. I give you this ring as a symbol of my abiding love."
"I give you this ring as a symbol of my abiding . . ." Crash!!! Out of nowhere something massive broke through the side of the church; breaking through the wall and shattering the windows to bits, with the pressure of the crash causing everyone to fly back and fall to the ground, Loque Bella and Prince Callum too.
Everyone burst out into screams and saw their whole lives flash right before their eyes. It was a fayagan, the most feared creature in all the kingdoms; a creature that looked like a pteranodon dinosaur but had white rough skin and blue frills on the side of its head that matched its wide wings; with razor sharp teeth and bright yellow snake-like eyes. And when it stood up on its hind legs and gave out a spine chilling squeal, its glory was displayed and everyone's blood ran so cold it froze. A fayagan was a deathly beast, coming face to face with one meant death had come knocking at your door and was going to let itself in whether you liked it or not.
Back in the snowy forest of Monteg, Prince Callum was sitting on the ground holding Loque Bella's cold and beginning to freeze corpse in his arms with both he and Mr. Braun were crying."Let her be your highness, she's gone," Mr. Braun said."No she's not. She can't be gone. I . . . I love her, she can't be gone," Prince Callum said."I am so sorry.""She was the one Mr. Braun. You how sometimes you know things just by looking at them?""I do yes," Mr. Braun said."When I looked at her I knew she was the one. I just knew it. Looking into her eyes I saw my whole future in it and now that future will never be.""Your highness I am so sorry.""There has to be something we can do," Prince Callum said. "There has to be a way for us to bring her back.""Your highness please you are making this very hard on yourself.""She can't be gone Mr. Braun. She can't. I love her and I need her," he said and looked down at Loque Be
The creature flew out of its nest and seeing its massive size, Loque Bella shrunk to the size of a pea. It was a giant pterodactyl with the feathers of a snowy owl; squawking and flapping its large wings."Oh my goodness oh no," Loque Bella said looking at it fly on. It then turned and began flying towards her and seeing it coming straight for her, her heart dropped right out of her chest. She screamed and began climbing, as fast as she could, as behind her the creature homed in on her.Its sharp beak was aimed at her and was going to stab her right through the back had she not let go and fallen a few vines down just in the nick of time. The creature like lightning turned its body to the side and flew on as Loque Bella saw it go and continued climbing."Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!" she said as she climbed; Gorra had nothing but terrible words to say about the pterotus and it was out to get her. Not good.It turned in the air and flew d
It was a couple of hours after midnight and the full moon still shining its bright light, Loque Bella in her moon essence form flew through the night sky in the direction of the Harborage of Embellishment. She had left Marius behind and it was a decision that cut her up. It reminded her of the heart ache that came to her when she saw Prince Mangus dead and what he put himself through just to ensure her safety and that just made her leaving Marius behind even more painful. The desert was dangerous and he was out there by himself, what had she done? With what they had faced, she couldn't believe that she had left him but she had to. Leaving meant he could have her portion of food and water which would give him another day but still that was not good enough; hunger and thirst were not the only things that could kill him out there, there were the creatures also. And what if one of them attacked him? They barely survived going up against them the two of them what more by himself?
A new day came and Loque Bella and Marius continued making their way through hot bareness to the Harborage of Embellishment.Walking on suddenly Marius stopped and turned his head to the side."What?" Loque Bella asked."Did you hear that?" he asked."Hear what?""I think I just heard thunder.""Thunder," she said and looked up. "That's not possible there's not a single cloud in the sky.""It didn't come from the sky.""Then where did it come from?" she asked and Marius ran to his left and began climbing the large dune. "What are you doing?"He climbed on and when he reached the top his blood ran cold."Oh my goodness," he said."What? Marius what is it?" Loque Bella asked and ran up the very dune to see what he was looking at. She reached the top, with him just standing there with a blank expression on his face, and when she saw what had gotten him so spooked, the same expression came over her face.
The sun rose over the dunes and brought forth a new day and walking on across the hotness Loque Bella and Marius carried on; now with only one bag with the things they needed to survive. There was a large dune in front of them and when they climbed it hoping to see something in the distance that would give them relief, it gave them the opposite feeling; they both gave out heavy sighs and threw their heads down, there was nothing out there but dunes, dunes and more dunes."Goodness gracious, I don't know how much more of this I can take. I am so tired," Loque Bella said heavily breathing, with her fur cloak stained with dried up blood and washed in dirt to keep the blood from being smelled by any nearby predators."We'll get there don't worry," Marius said with his bag on his back."Get where? We don't even know where we're going.""Yes we do. The Harborage of Embellishment.""Yes but we don't even know if it's out here," she said."Of
Marius crouched on through the tunnel following the bloody drag marks and finally came to the end of it. The tunnel came out into a large open area and standing up straight he then took off his bag and secured it in a secluded corner and began looking around for Loque Bella. He was about to shout out her name when just then he heard a squeal coming from the darkness; a squeal that made him hide the oil lamp under his cloak and hit the ground. There were large rocks and bolders scattered across the area and these were what Marius used to hide himself from the creature; popping his oil lamp in and out from underneath his cloak to see where he was going and not lose track of the bloody drag marks."Loque Bella," he whispered out to her but the only thing that responded was the creature that gave out another squeal. Quickly he hid the oil lamp and sat quiet as somewhere in the area the creature ran around; with the sound of its many legs hitting the ground like a sm
