Run Away

The girl wearing the dazzling dress was still glued to her spot. She stood looking ahead in the darkness of the room on the fourth floor of her beloved father's building.

She couldn't believe what was in front of her. Her heart was getting broken by the business that her father is doing. She understood about the mafia world that working in a cartel is a dirty thing. But Bianca could still accept her father as boss of the Il Diamante cartel in Sicily.

She recalled that several years ago, she accidentally found another dirty job belonging to her father's cartel. That was making replicas of branded goods which were sold to dealers at prices equivalent to original brand products.

When she found out about the counterfeiting business, she was still naive and tried to respect her beloved father's work.

How greedy she was at that time only thinking about the money her father made to meet her needs and all the desires she always asked for.

“This is the worst than last time. What sins have I committed, God…” Bianca sat limply and looked up at the ceiling in the dark room.

She really did not expect that her father's work was getting more and more terrible. She couldn't even think further about the other rotten things her father was doing in his cartel.

Her tears were flowing again profusely, her throat was already sore and she had been holding back tears since this afternoon. Her high nose kept running.

Bianca didn't about her beautiful appearance anymore. "Papa, what other terrible thing has Papa done?" The girl's face was indescribable and could only stare blankly at the money maker.

Her crying had subsided, the pain in her legs was dominating her feelings at this moment. “Aauuchh… aucchh… my leg hurts so bad! Damn these shoes!” Bianca took off the heels roughly and grabbed the phone that she had dropped.

Bianca decided to go back to her friends in the main hall sadly. As she was about to open the door wider, she heard firm footsteps echoing towards her.

Bianca frantically stepped back again. She looked around the dark and cold room, until she found a desk in the corner of the room that was unused. Bianca was lucky, under the table there was legroom that was tightly closed, so she didn't seem to be hiding behind it.

The girl tightly hugged her long dress, holding heels and cellphone in her left hand. Bianca's pulse quickened as the dark room suddenly became brightly lit.

She closed her eyes and prayed in silence. "Did anyone forget to close this door? Why was it left open? Juan must have been careless this time, because he was too busy...hahaha...” A deep voice echoed through the cold room, then the sound of shoes getting closer and closer to Bianca.

“Oh…God…” Bianca screamed inwardly, as the deep voiced man drew closer to her hiding place.

The man looked around the large room and walked over to the countless piles of money.

“Sigh… what a shame this is all fake!” The deep voice snorted loudly, then whistled as it rubbed the pile of counterfeit money. “I'm upstairs, copy that! I'll go down now. Just make sure everything is in order!” The man spoke to himself which Bianca believed was communicating with another mafioso on duty in the building.

The footsteps trailed off and the room went dark again. Bianca who was under the table breathed a sigh of relief. “Phew… my heart feels like it's going to burst!” She tried to get out to see the door to the room that had been closed tightly.

Her hands trembled slightly, because of the adrenaline rush, worried that she would be caught in the room. Bianca sneaked out of the fourth floor. She made sure that none of her father's subordinates saw her coming down from the fourth floor unaccompanied by anyone.

Bianca tried to walk as normally as possible back to the toilet on the third floor. She went in and made sure no one was on the same floor with her. She was sure that her father's subordinates were guarding the main hall and the second floor only.

"I'd better turn off some lights and lock the door. Damn, my hands are shaking..." Bianca cursed as she locked the door from the inside, making it look like another unused room.

Bianca threw her heels into the trash can, “Tackkk!” Then the girl put her phone roughly on the sink. She was so stressed about what was happening. “Oh, God… oh, God… please help me! Argh..."

She paced back and forth in the toilet corridor without knowing what to do. The girl thought about all the things that gave her a headache.

“I can't live this life forever. I should leave! I don't want to get chained again in this golden cage. Papa will surely be stricter or protective towards me if he knows what I knew about Papa's another job in Cartel.” Bianca grabbbed her hairs with force.

She's to tired to think or do something. "Oh..

God, Think Bia... come on think!” She hit her head to get any idea of what should she do next.

“I think I should gather all of my money, important documents, passport, all of my devices, Luca's gifts and Mama's necklace now. Then, I'll plan next move after I reach home." Bianca stopped in front of the sink and faced the mirror looking at herself confidently.

"Okay! Now I should stain my dress with something I can't wipe off. Uh, right! Crab soup is what they got!” Briana got a clear idea, so she could go to her small room on the second floor.

“Okay… In… out… in… out… I’m ready!” Bianca took a determined breath and adjusted her appearance before entering her party room again.

“Hey... guys! I'm so sorry I can't find a proper room here for us. I feel so tired and my feet feel so sore. Apologize me." Bianca came to her friends with a sad face.

“Oh my God, there's no need to be so sad, Bia. Where have you been? We're worried about you. Hey, it's okay don't worry about us, okay? We're used to them every time in any party. Don't force yourself!” Her blonde friend hugged her.

“Si… Principessa, it's your birthday. Try to enjoy it even if it's not to your liking, okay? We are here for you!” A boy friend held her cold hand.

“Grazie mille, guys! I love all of you! Then excuse me again, I need to eat, I'm really starving." Bianca walked away from her friends and went to one of the waitresses to bring her red crab soup and orange juice.

“Here, Principessa, freshly red crab soup, we cook it on site and special orange juice for you!” The maid looked down at Bianca and left.

Bianca looked at her surroundings before standing up with the soup, “Now... or never ...” she muttered under her breath.

Bianca rammed her body on purpose against one of the mafiosos who was so drunk she just needed some good acting, “Aaaaa… noooo… my dress!” Bianca fell and spilled the red soup on her plush goose dress.

Her little scream caught the attention of several mafiosos who were on duty in the main hall including Juan who immediately ran towards Bianca. “Principessa... are you okay? Are you sick? Don't move, okay? Hey, you take him outside now!” Juan examined Bianca carefully to make sure the boss's daughter wasn't hurt at all, and glared at the mafioso who hit Bianca.

"I'm okay Juan ... I'm o ...Oh ... No ... No way! My dress ... Juan, my dress!" Bianca looked at Juan alternately with her dirty dress and started acting. The girl started crying as crocodile, because her dress was dirty.

"Principessa, don't cry... don't cry, please! Would you mind if you change to another dress?” Juan rubbed Briana's head gently while looking at those light brown eyes with a worried look.

"Si ... Si Juan, I can't stand seeing this so dirty." Bianca smiled contentedly inside her head, because she could trick her father's right hand.

“I'll take you there, Principessa.” Juan held out his hand.

“Noo... Noo... Juan, you should stay here! Don't leave this room without Papa. See, Papa already drunk? Please watch him, Juan! I don't want Papa get hurt. I can't find Luca either here." Bianca begged Juan to stay with a worried tone.

"Will you be okay?" Juan looked at him uncertainly.

“Si… Juan, have you forgotten who trained me to fight? I will immediately break the limbs of the person who is bothering me.” Bianca said with a smirk.

The girl quickly walked out of the party room. Juan's sharp gaze still followed her making sure no other danger touched her.
