Chapter 4. Beneficial life experiences

Why did Aidan like her anyway?

"Because you're beautiful, strong, clever. As far as I know, the boys are looking for girlfriends like that. However, there are some people who prefer their girlfriends to be a little more feminine, gentle, and graceful."

Katie gripped Selena's hand tightly, rolling her eyes in surprise:

"Does that mean Aidan's girlfriend's taste is strong girls?"

Was Aidan's type of girlfriend Katie right?

"This, I don't know."

Selena was a girl who was loved by many people for her beautiful, gentle appearance. But only Katie knew, hidden deep in her soul was a maddening intensity that was trying to get out. Selena has both an inner personality and the charisma of an innocent young woman, so it was inevitable that the claws of the men in the University were on her. Of course even she and Katie were one of the rare girls of New York University.

"Why don't you see it! Your life experience is so much more than mine. Is there no way to help me cut him off?"

Selena could not believe her ears, and stood up wanting to slam the table. But she had not even done it yet, the eyes around her made her whole body cringe. The two of them were in the library, so they could not make a noise, affecting everyone around them.

Katie seemed to have forgotten she was in the library, she said a few times louder earlier. She coughed dryly, lowering her voice all the way, begging Selena:

“Help me, please!”

Selena was perhaps really unlucky to have this debt on her. She tried to be as calm as possible, responding to Katie's words:

"To hell with this life experience thing! You see, I’ve failed so many classes, can't graduate, and then have to retake the courses with my juniors. What the hell is that kind of experience?"

That's right! Selena was a year older than Katie. She was her senior. Katie was a fourth-year student at New York University, but because she could not graduate, Selena was only a fourth-year student as well. And she was the oldest girl in their IT department.

Well, it's better not to ask her then.

Katie had something to do, so she had to go back to the dorm first. She packed her books into her bag, said goodbye to Selena, and quickly headed out.

The life of our fourth-year student was nothing new. It was not only about going to an internship, but was also burying your head in the curriculum and materials. Her peers all said the school was exploiting students, not giving them a break at all.

Besides, did the upperclassmen when they came to career guidance meetings all said that, as long as they went to college, they would meet their potential lovers? Why did Katie not see anyone in her way the first year, nor the second year was better. Even in the fourth year, it was still nothing. As time went on, their attachment to being able to get a lover grew smaller and smaller. No one could trust that trivial hoax anymore. Having been in the fourth year without finding any love in the University environment, there was certainly no hope anymore.

The pressure of exams was growing, so Katie frequented the library all the time. Because it was boring to go alone, she invited the beautiful Selena with her. Although Selena did not volunteer much, she eventually followed her friend.

At first, Katie specifically called Selena a dear "sister", but she was deeply disgusted by the title. If she heard this word from someone else's mouth from time to time, even if it was not for her, her blood would boil.

Selena said it was forbidden to let anyone know she could not graduate, and had to study with fourth-year juniors. But she should not be worried at all. Could her popularity in the New York University be less than this? Because she was so popular, after the news that Selena could not graduate was released, its popularity grew even bigger. Therefore, at school, no one was ever unaware of this kind of embarrassing news.

Selena Price - the beauty who could not graduate.

In her senior year, it was because of this speech that Katie was able to get to know Selena.

"Are you Selena?" Katie saw the girl at the center of big and small discussions, she was not afraid to move forward and start a conversation with her. At the moment she thought she was too initiative. It was also possible that she was too curious about Selena's gorgeous figure that people often talked about.

“Yes. And you are…?”

Selena looked at Katie with a beam. This was a bright aura. She stared blankly at the girl’s beauty, almost to the point she almost lost her face. Fortunately, the miserable boy next to her woke up from that dream, hurriedly patted her on the shoulder, and woke her up.

“I am Katie Gomez, a fourth-year student in the Information Technology department.”

Selena rolled her eyes, then smiled again, "What a coincidence! I'm also a senior in the Faculty of Information Technology."

That was the story! Just like that, Katie and Selena officially became two inseparable friends.

Even if Katie called Selena by “sister”, she never addressed herself as a sister to Katie. Later, feeling that this kind of conversation starter was a bit odd and forced, Katie insisted on changing how they should call each other as Selena always wanted.

As she walked down the stairs, Katie walked rather quickly, not carefully bumping into a person. The other was a young man, quite naïve, who seemed to be a new student.

Katie also never wanted to be told that she clouded the souls of obedient boys, so she could only quickly say sorry, pack up her books, put them back on her bag, and leave in a hurry.

Katie could only take a couple of steps then she was pulled back. Not only did he not let her go, he forcefully snatched back her bag.
