Job hunt ?!

“I had a fight with my mother yesterday’s evening, she threatened to disown me if I walked out of the house,”

“I thought it was a joke, so I left, I was so angry I had a few drinks with my cousin and I got drunk”

“I got into an accident on my way home yesterday, I thought I had died but thankfully I woke up this morning,”

“I found my way back home, and realized that my mom actually disowned me, she wasn’t joking when she threatened to disown me,”

“When I saw her this morning, she looked at me with so much disdain and said she wanted to have nothing to do with me,” Jayden paused as he slowly looked up at Gabriella and Jessica.

“I don’t have anywhere to go, My cousin too has decided to join her in this and I have no family apart from them!” He concluded.

“No friends too?!” Jessica asked and he shook his head.

“I don’t have any friends,” he replied.

“Well with your character, I’d be surprised if you had any friend” Gabriella muttered rolling her eyes as she sat back in her seat.

“Wait,” she gasped as she sat up and moved closer to him on the chair, like a realization just dawned on her.

“Does this mean I’m not getting any refund?!” She asked her forehead knotted in a frown, Jayden met her eyes confused and asked,

“Refund?!”

“What do you mean refund?! You’re alive right now do you think it was free of charge?!”

“I emptied almost all my savings just to get you drugs and the treatment you got,” she said and Jayden lips dropped muttering an “ahhh”

“I’m sorry, I’ll keep on trying to go see my mom, she’ll give in eventually!” He replied, she rolled her eyes irritated at his very irresponsible and entitled statement.

“You’ll keep on trying to go see your mom, you don’t have a job?! Why does all your life revolve around your mother?! She’s absent now you’re a mess!” Gabriella snorted.

“You’ve decided to take him in Atleast be nice,” Jessica butted in and she turned to her with an eye roll.

“Even him cannot tell me to be nice, he dare not ask me to be nice to him, I’m allowing him to stay here not because I want it, but because I’m trying to be human!”

“He started the vibe between us, caused me so much trouble, he’s not going to get out of it so easily!” She said to Jessica and she nodded slowly.

“Your call boss,” Jessica replied.

She turned to Jayden with a sneer and he held his breath, he had no idea why but he was somewhat scared of her now that he knew he was defenseless against her.

“The other day you were asking if I know who you are, can you see now that you’re a nobody!”

“You’re just opportuned like I rightly said, oh I love to be right!” She muttered to herself as she stood up and headed to the room, but loud enough for him to hear.

“Gabriella Torres!” Jessica called trying to caution her.

“What is it, did I mention anybody’s name!” She muttered as she walked into the room and slammed the door shut.

“Look, it’s not like I like what you did to her too, but give her sometime she’s actually a sweet person” Jessica said to him and he nodded slowly.

“Thank you,” he muttered.

“I’ll clear out my room and move in with Gab, you can occupy my room till your whole situation is resolved” she said and he nodded slowly.

“Thank you,” he whispered again and she nodded with a smile as she stood up and walked away.

Much later that night …..

Gabriella knocked on the door to Jaydens room, formerly Jessica’s room, after she got a response from him she gently pushed the door open and walked in.

“Your bath is ready,” she said to him, he was seated infront of the mirror just staring at it, the room was quite empty seeing as he had no belongings or anything. He slowly took his eyes off his reflection on the mirror and turned to look at her, releasing an involuntarily sigh of relief at the thought that he was going to finally have a bath.

“Okay,”

“Have this, it belonged to my ex” she said dropping a pair of pyjamas and a clean towel on the bed.

“Your ex?!” He muttered, his eyes depicting that he didn’t like the idea of putting on a cloth that once belonged to someone else.

“What?! You can’t wear it?!” She said the corner of her lips lifting in a sneer.

“Very well then, I can see my help isn’t needed!” She said as she picked up the clothes from the bed and began to head out.

“Hold on, hold on “ he said as he quickly got out of the chair and limped towards her.

“I’ll take it,” he muttered as he took the cloth from her, she rolled her eyes at his behaviours.

“Better!” She murmured.

“When you’re ready, I’ll be in the kitchen, I’ll show you to the bathroom” she said turning around and walking out of the room.

“Thank you,” he muttered.

“Arghhh, finally” he muttered to himself as soon as she walked out.

“After all that I’ve gone through, I totally need a bubble bath,”

“Should I ask what bubble bath soap she used?!” He muttered to himself turning back to face the room.

“Nope, she’ll probably just shout, everybody should have a bubble bath right, I just hope they like strawberry bubble bath soap also,” he muttered to himself as he began to take off his clothes.

“Might be a long shot, but a champagne wouldn’t be a bad idea too,” he murmured as he picked up his towel and wrapped it around his body before taking off his trousers.

….

“Gabriella,” Jayden called softly standing by the entrance of the kitchen, Gabriella slowly spun around to face him, she paused in her tracks as her eyes went wide.

Jayden was putting on just towel and his upper body was bare, she swallowed deeply as her eyes roamed his body, his body hinted at a very consistent visit to the gym.

His body was muscularly and beautifully built and she definitely couldn’t take her eyes off him.

“Gabriella?!”

“Gabriella?!” She heard his voice rudely break into her thoughts and she flinched immediately.

“Is something wrong?!” He asked and she rolled her eyes at his sudden forced and fake humility.

“Ofcourse, he’ll always be at the gym, he’s jobless!” She muttered to herself before slowly looking up at him.

“Why is there supposed to be a problem?!” She retorted trying to save her red face.

“I’m ready to have my bath,” he replied.

“I can see that!” She said as she dropped the napkin she was holding and headed out of the kitchen.

“Follow me,”

“Where is the bath?!” Jayden asked as they stood in front of the bathroom.

Her eyes balls deepened as she looked at him and her eyeball rolled towards the entrance, wordlessly asking if he was blind or something and cannot see what’s in front of him.

“You said my bath is ready, this is a bucket Gabriella!” He gritted out, trying not to sound like he was disappointed and slightly annoyed.

“And?!” She asked, her eyes darting between him and the bathroom with a small shrug holding out her palm.

“So you mean no bubble bath?! I was expecting a nice and relaxing strawberry bubble bath, no champagne?! how am I supposed to have my bath with this?!” He asked and she rolled her eyes finally understanding where this was going.

“I took pain to heat up water for you and then you stand here to ask me for bubble bath and even champagne?! You pride and sense of entitlement is over the roof and annoying!” She grunted.

“There’s soap by the window to wash your clothes, if you like don’t wash it, you’ll wear your pyjamas for our job hunt tomorrow!” She said sternly as she began to walk away.

“Wash my clothes?! Job hunt?! Gabriella hold on please” he called out to her but she didn’t even stop or turn to look at him.

“I’ve never washed my clothes myself, I don’t even know how to do it, Gabriella hold on please!” He called at to her repeatedly.

“My friend have your bath!” She snapped as she finally walked out of sight.
