Chapter 29

Kiara:

I sat down beside my husband. His arm wrapped around my waist as Timur, Nikita, Vladimir, Uncle Dimitri, Mia, Uncle Ivan, Keram, Daphne, and Grace sat with us on the couches as we talked.

“Are you okay baby girl?” Nikolay asked me softly. I had been quiet since after the encounter with Mia, even she knew that I wasn’t talking anymore. I was here for a reason, I wasn’t here to fight and if her and I spoke. It would end up with us getting into an argument. I smiled at Nikolay and kissed his jawline, but even he knew that I did that to tell him to drop the subject.

Mum and dad were here, we had greeted them and thankfully neither of them saw the bullet wound which was starting to hurt me as the painkiller’s effect was starting to wear off. I got up from Nikolay’s arms and he frowned in confusion, but putting a hand on my shoulder letting him know that I needed to go to try and kill the pain before it got unbearable.
