What are your feelings for Lia, Ivor?
Lia's POVThe sleeping pills put me to sleep but didn't make me less tired the next day.The alarm woke me up the next morning."Damn, damn alarm, why did I forget to erase the alarm in my phone," I groaned, trying to sleep again but I couldn't.I felt like I was mistreated because I was tired of lacking sleep, but couldn't sleep. Suffering from the headache, I went to a cafe where was close to our hotel to work.I ran into Ivor after leaving the cafe. He apologized to me. What did he mean? Wasn't it all over?I saw the confusion in his eyes and was amazed. I had to have seen it wrong.Ivor was never confused. Arrogance was one of his seductive traits. It wasn't born out of disregard for others, but because of the upstream blood flowing through his body. That made his arrogance different and attractive.I assured him that I had accepted his apology and left shortly after. Soon after, I got his message. He informed us of the time and place of the parties we would have to attend until t
Mornings in Dubai were fresh. Blue sky made me more positive. I looked at the plan, breathed. There was only one last party left, which would be held tonight. When that party was over, I was going to have a full day off.I stretched my shoulders, feeling myself full of hope for a new day.The ringing of the message on the phone sounded. I picked up the phone, not surprised that the person who sent the message to me was Mr. Ahmed. He announced the location where we would discuss the contract this afternoon, which was a famous hotel in Dubai. After the fourth party of that week, Mr. Ahmed actively contacted me, expressing that he was very interested in our new project. He assessed the project as very potential and would invest enormous sums of money in it.I was pleasantly surprised after reading that message. The project that Mr. Ahmed actively proposed to invest was a project that I took part in as a financial assistant. If that project succeeded, I could get a promotion and a reward.
“Fuck you, Ivor,” I shouted as soon as I entered my room. Ivor never gave me any satisfactory explanation, even though I almost begged him. “Don't waste your time. Get ready for tonight's party, maybe you'll meet potential investors,” I parodied what he told me. I didn't have the enthusiasm to continue my work. I took my phone from my bag, and I answered Mr. Ahmed's message, his request for a meeting, sloppily. However, I hesitated after I finished writing the message. This sloppy reply from me could make the end of my social relationship with him. "Ok, let's think carefully, Lia, Mr. Ahmed is an enormous piece of cake and you want it. However, Ivor will kick you out of the project you're in if you contact Mr. Ahmed,” I closed my eyes, saying to myself. “Ok, you won't be able to stay in the project if you contact Mr. Ahmed. Ivor's not kidding. You're not leaving the project at all costs. So - what do you keep in contact with Mr. Ahmed for?" I clearly understood what I should choos
Ivor sat on the beach chair, enjoyed the party, talked along with the other young masters. I stood by his side and was ready to take his request. I didn't care who Ivor talked to and what they talked about. I had been concentrating on observing the young masters here. Maybe I would find a suitable investor. A few minutes later, I gave up. I admitted I couldn't figure out how to convince any of them to invest in a project that I took part in. Suddenly an idea flashed into my mind, I could learn from Ivor. He was also looking for investors from wealthy families here, right? I eavesdropped on the way he was communicating with them and eavesdropped on what they were saying. And I almost had to say, "What the hell?" when I heard the contents of the conversation. Ivor chatted with the young masters here about places to hang out and beautiful girls. I clenched my hand, not knowing how Ivor would make them invest in his project, but I was eavesdropping. Soon after, I realized Ivor was l
Things were so unexpected, I couldn't think of anything. The water came into my lungs, my body gave an alarm. Instinctively, I glanced up at the water. I coughed, I heard delightful laughter. I looked at the curly black haired guy, wondering what had happened, but I couldn't stop coughing. "What happened?" I gave the curly black haired guy an angry look and asked as soon as I calmed down. I swore I had to have looked very stupid then. I felt some of my chestnut curls sticking to my face. My fluffy hair was also flat because it was wet. I couldn't move flexibly in the water because I was wearing a cuddly office suit and high heels. That guy looked at me and laughed, I really wanted to punch his fucking face. I gave him a friendly attitude, and what he gave me was a stupid fucking joke. “Is it fun?” he asked. I looked at the rest of the people in the pool, they all laughed and looked at me. They had to be waiting for my response. Was the reaction of a friendly person after realizing
Ivor's POV“Boss, Mr. Ahmed wants to invest in our projects,” I was surprised to hear Lia said. I only received Mr. Ahmed's proposal about 30 minutes ago and I have informed no one of this news. How did Lia find out about this news?Did Lia contact Mr. Ahmed? When? After that party?I hid my suspicions or doubts, nodding to her, “I know. I got his offer about 30 minutes ago. We'll see you this afternoon.”Lia laughed, her face full of excitement, “So, are you prepared for the negotiation?–I can help you."I frowned, but Lia did not hide her expectation for the negotiation. Her eyes were sparkling. The little girl with the chestnut hair was standing in front of me, 10 feet from me. I could see her hands clasping together, that act saying she was nervous.“You don't have to do that,” I said.Immediately Lia gave me a surprised glance, “But–aren't I always preparing for every business meeting on this Dubai trip of yours?”“I know you're very nervous and looking forward to the project bec
Ivor's POVI returned to the hotel, and as soon as I got out of the car, Lia approached me and asked about the negotiation with Mr. Ahmed. I saw the disappointment on Lia's face when I said that the negotiation had failed.Lia expected a lot that this negotiation could be a success. She wanted to negotiate directly with Mr. Ahmed. If I said yes, that would mean that Mr. Ahmed's wish would come true. I remembered his smug look when he thought that his money could buy Lia. Anger invaded me. I tried to hide it in a cold voice.I turned down her offer. Lia was angry, but that was no reason for me to change my mind.I sighed, feeling stressed and irritated. However, she still tried to convince me. I had never seen her so patient with anything like that. As soon as she seemed to want to contact Mr. Ahmed herself, I prevented her from doing so. I couldn't control my anger, and I ordered as a habit, “I won't agree to that contract no matter what. And, stop contacting him."But I immediately r
Lia's POV Having a fever wasn't an interesting experience, especially for people who were rarely sick like me. I didn't feel like I had the strength to do anything. My whole body was hot, and my head was in terrible pain. The only thing I could do to make myself comfortable was sleep. Sometimes I would wake up and be in a vague state. As always, I woke up and heard voices talking and felt the quiet atmosphere around me. The doctor was saying something; I heard him mention the name of some medicine. But I was so tired and I kept falling asleep. I woke up again, feeling my current state was better. But my body was still exhausted. I frowned, annoyed by my sweaty body. How many days had I not showered? "Hey, you all right?" I heard Ivor's voice and then I saw him sitting next to the bed. His face was full of anxiety. “I-,” I wanted to say 'I'm fine' out of habit but I hear my voice hoarse, I didn't even have the strength to say a complete sentence. My words were stuck in my throat.
