Chapter 34: Ivor's POV

I asked her to come back to the hotel with me, but Lia refused. I had no patience to convince her and carried her into my SUV. Whether or not she wanted to come with me, I couldn’t let her go back to the hotel alone.

Usually, for my requests, she didn’t object at all and did it professionally, even if I thought of them as bullshit.

“Let me get off,” Lia’s gaze was filled with consistency. She was rejecting my request, she had never done before. She was totally serious.

What should I do then? I was confused.

Lia continuously protested in steeled words. Feeling that everything was out of my control, I grabbed her wrists, pressed them against the car window just before I realized what I was doing.
