Chapter 46: Stage 4

I sent too much and rushed. I understand Luke.

Luke tightened his grip on my hand and looked at me slightly before smiling.

He became calm, calm because he kept us out of harm's way. Seeing Lucas's eyes with fear from the recognized father was painful for me. I brought them into danger. I didn't even notice Lucas' every move and I was just swept away by the current of longing, longing for a father.

We reached home quietly. First we took care of the twins who had already fallen asleep and as I picked up Lucia, I couldn't help but shed tears.

I'm hurting. I can't explain the pain but I deserve it.

It hurts me more because the twins experienced this and I didn't even understand Luke's feelings.

When we got the twins out of bed I noticed that Luke had no intention of leaving so I decided to walk out of the room and wait for him outside the door.

A few minutes passed before Luke came out, I politely smiled at him and put my hand on his arm before walking towards our room.
