Chapter 47: Knife and Gun

"How's your feeling?" I asked.

She had just woken up and the weakness of her whole body was visible. Her lips were pale and slightly itchy. “Water.” She said softly so I immediately took water from the jug that was on the table near the side of the bed.

I helped her to sit before giving her a drink of water. I put a pillow on her back to support her sitting.

"Where are the twins?" Luke and I looked at each other at her question.

"In the living room, they are playing." I answered her. "Sorry for the trouble Elle." I smiled slightly and shook my head.

"It's not bothering you, it's good that you thought of coming here." I answered calmly.

"They've gone to school, haven't they?" I nodded to her. "Don't, stop now. Take them Luke.” Now Sashalyn was looking at Luke. "Far away, far away." she said with difficulty and coughed a little.
