Carter Prescott is one of those guys who has it all.Wealthy family…check.Good looks…check.Brains to match all that brawn…check. And let’s not even talk about all those sculpted muscles (no—seriously, I don’t want to talk about them). The guy works out like it’s his job. Did I mention that he’s one of this year’s top NFL draft picks?Sure, maybe in the beginning I was taken in by his pretty face and gorgeous body. What girl with a beating pulse wouldn’t be? But his obnoxious presence killed any attraction I might have felt a long time ago.All right, fine…that’s not altogether true. The guy is smoking hot, okay? There, I admitted it.Sheesh.But that doesn’t mean he’s not a conceited jerk. Carter is my cousin’s best friend, and thanks to the fugue state I must have been in when I agreed to this living arrangement, he’s my roommate for senior year. Love to Hate You is created by Jennifer Sucevic, an EGlobal Creative Publishing signed author.

Another great story from this author. Well, written and edited. It's the perfect length. Not too long or too short. This story has a lot of funny parts in it. I definitely recommend it.

Chapter 1: Daisy
##Chapter 1: DaisyLogan brushes a stray lock of hair away from my face."I had fun tonight," he says. His husky voice sends a shiver of desire careening down my spine. I love that feeling. The one you get when you're out with someone new, and you're really clicking. And you think, Yeah, this could actually go somewhere. That's exactly what I'm feeling right now. That little voice inside my head is screaming, Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner."Me, too," I murmur before shoving the key into the lock of the apartment door. This is going to sound corny as hell, but time stands still as we gaze into each other's eyes. Have I mentioned that Logan has the dreamiest eyes? They're deep and soulful. I can practically feel myself getting lost in them. His eyes were the first thing I noticed. The second? That he's cute.Cute boys have always been a weakness of mine. He's handsome in a frat boy kind of way, with perfectly styled blond hair and an athletic build that's not overly muscul

Chapter 2: Daisy
##Chapter 2: DaisyLogan stiffens beside me. And not in the way I was hoping for, either. Before I have a chance to blast Carter into next week, he saunters into the room and plops himself down on the ugly, oversized recliner situated across from us. I hate that eyesore and opposed it being moved into the apartment.I was overruled.Unaware, or-more accurately-uncaring that I'm about to blow a gasket, Carter lifts his chin in Logan's direction. "Hey, what's up?"I sputter in anger. Carter's all nonchalant, as if he's not strutting around practically naked and interrupting my date.Poor Logan doesn't know what to make of the situation."Ahhh..." he falters and stares wide-eyed as if Carter is a horrific traffic accident that he's unable to rip his eyes away from.I feel much the same way. We're talking bodies strewn across the pavement and several fatalities. You can bet that once I get my hands on Carter, he's going to be one of them.Carter sits with his legs spread wide. Unfortu

Chapter 3: Carter
##Chapter 3: CarterBrinmore University-or BU, as it's fondly referred to-is renowned across the country for three things. The first is football. BU gives the University of Alabama a run for its money in the sheer number of conference championships and players drafted to the NFL each year. If you don't play, then you damn well better be a fan, because you're inundated with football twenty-four seven. Even when we're not in season, everyone talks about next year's prospects, which high school players are getting recruited, who's turning pro, who ended up on the injury list, and who's coming back. The second is academics. BU is a top-notch university. One of the best in the country. If you're able to earn a degree from this school, you have a promising future ahead of you. It's a well-known fact that BU alumni take care of their own.And the third is the parties. BU consistently ranks as one of the top five party schools in the country with a huge Greek system. Trust me, the st

Chapter 4: Daisy
##Chapter 4: Daisy"Hi, Aunt Marnie!" I call out while coming through the front door with Noah and Carter hot on my heels.Noah's mother, Aunt Marnie, stands at the huge black granite island in the center of the kitchen. She's wearing a pretty sundress, with her long blond hair pulled back into a ponytail. It's her go-to hairstyle. Easy and low maintenance, just like her.A warm smile lights up her face as she glances up. "Hey, sweetheart!" With a big wooden spoon in hand, she mixes together a macaroni salad for the Labor Day barbecue she and my uncle are hosting. Everyone in the neighborhood is invited, as well as all of Noah and Carter's teammates, who turn up en masse.Since they have a kick-ass in-ground pool, there's always an abundance of man candy to gawk at. It's probably one of the only perks to having a cousin who plays in a Division I football program. These guys work out all year long like it's their job and have the buff bodies to prove it.Carter bumps into me, mu

Chapter 5: Daisy
##Chapter 5: DaisyAunt Marnie knows that Carter and I don't get along. I've groused about him on several occasions. Multiplied by infinity.Noah and Carter met during football camp before freshman year and have been tight ever since. Even though Noah has skills when it comes to football, he's not good enough to turn pro. He loves it but doesn't live and breathe it the way some of the other guys on the team do. Noah has already taken the LSAT and is working on completing his applications for law school.Carter, on the other hand, lives and breathes football. It's his passion. His focus. He and I don't talk about his future, but I hear the gossip floating around campus. Most guys are more than happy to boast about their prospects if they're heading to the NFL. But Carter isn't one of them. He's guarded and private. He doesn't discuss his family or brag about his post-college plans. I may live with the guy, but I know next to nothing about him. Which is just fine by me.Tha

Chapter 6: Daisy
##Chapter 6: DaisyThe party has been underway for two hours, and everyone's having a great time. There's plenty of delicious food, and the weather is perfect. While watching a group playing chicken in the pool, I catch a flash of caramel-colored hair from the corner of my eye. Olivia waves as she maneuvers through the crowd. I return the greeting, happy to see her.Olivia is the first real friend I made at BU. Before Noah bamboozled me into my current living situation, Olivia and I had planned to get a place together.Obviously, that's a decision I regret. She settles on the lounger next to mine and stretches out. Olivia has legs for days. "Sorry, I'm late. I was hoping to get here a little earlier, but I had to stay and cover a shift when one of the girls didn't show up."Olivia waitresses at a diner two blocks away from campus. She's worked there for a few weeks, and the tips seem to be good. I've only met Olivia's parents a handful of times, but from everything she tells

Chapter 7: Daisy
##Chapter 7: DaisyBoth of our heads swivel. I shade my eyes to see who has dared to break away from the pack. Everyone on the BU football team knows that I'm Noah's cousin and therefore off-limits. Most of the guys treat me like a little sister. Which is fine by me. The last thing I want to do is cause problems between Noah and his friends.I rack my brain but don't recognize this guy, which means he's probably a freshman or transfer student. Behind my glasses, my eyes are free to wander over his body. And he certainly has a nice one.He thrusts out his hand toward me. "I don't think we've been introduced yet. I'm Tanner."I smile and do the same. His fingers close around mine and squeeze. The handshake is firm but not bone crushing. It's the perfect amount of pressure. That makes me wonder what else he can do with his hands."I'm Daisy." I nod toward my trusty sidekick. "And this is Olivia."I press my lips together to mask my amusement when Olivia perks up and thrusts

Chapter 8: Carter
##Chapter 8: CarterWell, that conversation didn't go as planned. I'm not sure how it went sideways so quickly. Honestly, all I'd meant to do was encourage Daisy to cover up that delectable little body of hers. Instead, all I've managed to do is piss her off. And now, just to spite me, she's walking around in a tiny bikini that barely covers her tits. It's aggravating as shit. I drag a hand over my face, and it comes away with beaded sweat. It's hot as balls out here. What I need is another dip in the pool. But that would be ill-advised considering I'm rocking some major wood.My eyes narrow on the girl responsible for my current condition.Daisy must feel my gaze drilling into her backside because she glances over her shoulder and meets my gaze head-on and frowns. Even though she's wearing sunglasses, I feel the burn of them like a physical assault. It's been that way since the day we met. The attraction was instantaneous. The moment I laid eyes on her, I couldn't look awa

##Chapter 9: DaisyKeeping an eye on Carter's bedroom door from my perch on the kitchen counter, I dig into a heaping bowl of Cap'n Crunch. It's not exactly the breakfast of champions, but I don't particularly care.I need sugar pronto. My blood still simmers over my run-in with Carter yesterday. First, he told me that I'm the last person he would check out. Then he had the audacity to tell me that my bikini was too small. Every time I think about it, I want to throw something at his head. After that conversation, I steered clear of him for the rest of the day, which wasn't easy considering we were trapped at the same party. More than a handful of times, I felt the heat of his gaze on me. It took every ounce of my self-control not to bare my teeth and snap them at him. Carter has the ability to make me feel like a rabid dog.I hate that he holds so much power over me.It shouldn't come as any surprise that the king of hookups brought home a girl at the end of the night. It wasn

Chapter 10: Carter
##Chapter 10: CarterAs I push through the doors of the small lecture hall for sociology, I pause and scan the tiered rows until spotting the back of Daisy's head. Even with her long hair pulled up into a bun, I would recognize that particular shade of blond anywhere. She's been absent from the apartment these past few days. I've been busy with football, so it's possible that we've just missed each other. But I doubt it.Daisy is operating under the assumption that I'm pissed about the crap she pulled the other morning. And I let her think it.But I'm not.Far from it, actually. Not that I would ever admit it to Daisy, but she did me a solid by getting rid of that girl so quickly. I had zero interest in meeting up with her later that night. The only reason I'd taken Jackie home in the first place was to get my mind off my delectable little roommate. Yeah, that turned out to be an epic fail.I shake my head and bite back a smile. That girl...Daisy's got a spine made of steel and
