Mated To The Red Eyed Alpha

Chapter one

Ace. 

 The sky was dark and looking gloomy. The Luna Rosa of the silver heart pack was in her son's room telling him tales when suddenly a loud penetrating scream was heard from outside the pack house. Rosa quickly ran to survey her surroundings when she saw houses being burnt she realised the pack was under attack. 

   Ace! Ace!! She quickly yelled for her son who came running down. She was worried because her son was yet to shift being twelve he had a year to shift because all werewolves at the pack shift starting from the age of thirteen. She quickly mind linked her husband Ray the Alpha of the pack. " Where are you? The houses are getting burnt and we are under attack." She didn't get any response, and she sighed in anguish. She tried to mind -link almost everyone in the pack but she still got no response.

   She held Ace's hand and took him outside the pack house. She immediately felt her strength being drained. Dead bodies were lying on the floor and the stench of blood was very strong. It must be silver, she thought to herself. She ran quickly as she heard a gun cracking with her light hearing. Suddenly she heard her husband through the mind link " leave the pack with Ace now" that was the only thing he said before she heard a scream. The intruders were in the pack but close to the pack house now. She changed into wolf form as she placed Ace on her back. 

    More gun shots were fired as she tried to evade them but unfortunately one bullet hit her by the side and she immediately fell to the ground. Ace quickly stood and tried to help her up when she said it was of no use. It was a silver bullet which was shot into her and she couldn't move again. " Run away" she said but Ace could not move and he stood still. The intruders were catching up and Rosa tried her best to stand but could not. Ace was on the verge of tears and he suddenly screamed. He had been shot. Rosa screamed as tears streamed down her eyes. 

   " Ace! Raise up and give your greetings. I looked from where I lay down and noticed I wasn't on the floor beside my mother. I thought I was dead. I listened to the voice and realised I was standing face to face with the moon goddess. I fell on my face and pleaded for mercy. " Rise up my child" I looked into the kind face of the moon goddess. She was beautiful as described in books and stories. 

     " What is it that you desire the most now?" 

  " I want to shift and fight for my pack " I replied without thinking.

   " I shall grant your wish but it will come at a great cost. "

   "Thank you" I replied as I felt her presence vanishing. I woke up and heard the laughter of the intruders. There were a total of ten. " He's awake," one said, his voice filled with surprise. I felt the hole which was formed from the gunshot healing up . The image of a wolf came into my mind as I felt my bones cracking with a pop sound. It was painful yet swift. " Hey! I'm Lucas by name and I'm your wolf." I was a bit taken back but I smiled in return. " Let's get things settled " it said and I agreed with a nod. 

    I felt a powerful range as my claws extended. I launched forward and dug my claws into the neck of one of the wolves. I felt the tingling feel of blood dripping down my fur. The others backed back with shocked expressions on their faces. I launched forward and bit another by the neck. The rest seemed to have recovered from the shock because they shot bullets and some launched at me. I felt a surge of power as I continued attacking and blood was all over the place. At last all of them were dead. 

  I looked around and found my mum on the floor with a smile on her face , she was already dead. I felt no urge to cry. When I'm done killing all the intruders I shall return to give her a proper funeral I said to myself. I quickly ran back to the pack house as I saw my pack members being beaten and some dead. I found my dad fighting with a group of intruders while the pack warriors fought and attended to the injured. The ground was filled with pools of blood, some from the pack members, some from the intruders. I charged myself and ran towards the direction of my father. He didn't show any sign of surprise although he mind linked me. 

  " I'm glad to see you" was the only thing he said. We fought alongside as the intruders began to retreat only for more gun shots to be heard. It was very swift as a wolf emerged above, landed on my father and injected him with silver. Wolfbanes were used on most people. As I soon saw many people dropping. It felt like I was about to collapse. My eyes had a burning sensation as I could only see red. I howled loudly as my eyes turned red. Lucas was in control. It was a savage kill as Lucas killed every intruder except one, who he chained and decided to question later. 

  The severely injured were being taken care of by the less injured. Ace knew he had exhausted his strength as he immediately collapsed on the ground. The battle was over; he was well assured of that. 

****Alpha Ray

   Alpha Ray looked at his son in surprise and admiration. " He will be a good and strong Alpha" he said to himself. He had felt his mate's bond being broken immediately after his wife died. He looked at his remaining pack members as he gave a sad smile as he died peacefully.
