CHAPTER THREE.

MICA'S POV.

"Such a snub" I was really pissed at the way that Lucan had spoken to me, who does he think he is to command me around like that? Well I will just go over to Nini's and play some games before going home to father, he was the one who put me in this position in the first place.

I got to Nini's house and the lazy bone was still in her pajamas and her mum was making lunch in the kitchen.

" My dear, you are here" Mrs Austin, Nini's mum Called from the kitchen.

" Yes mum, how come you are cooking and your daughter is still in her pajamas?" I asked eyeing Nini who was climbing down the stairs teasingly.

" Are you my friend or my mom's Mica?" She asked walking up to me and she jumped on my body. This was how we were, very close and just like family. Even if her family was more well off than mine, she never made me feel left out and I loved her for that.

" Don't worry about this lazy daughter of mine and help me wash the veggies" Mrs Austin replied and smiled at me.

" Mum, are you going to make her work now?she just got here" Nini whined like a child and I smiled at her behavior, then my mind went back to Lucan Lim and I gritted my teeth in anger.

" What happened dear, why do you look so upset?" It was Nini's mum who asked, I quickly composed myself, I didn't know my expressions were being noticed and the Nini I knew would not let me off so easily after seeing my expressions.

" Mum, Mica must be tired, I promise to help you and prepare dinner. Let her rest for a while okay?" She asked, making puppy eyes at her mum and we all knew both our parents could never resist our puppy eyes.

" You girls are shameless, well go and take some rest I can manage".

" Thanks mum" Nini said and half dragged me away from the kitchen, I knew I was in for her question and answer session, she wouldn't let me off so easily.

" What happened?" She asked the moment we entered her room.

" What do you mean?".

" I saw your expressions when we were in the kitchen, so start spilling," she replied.

I sighed heavily, I couldn't hide it from her even if I wanted to, " my dad asked me to deliver some snacks to Mr Lucan Lim's company and……." 

Nini began to scream like a mad dog, at first I was frightened if something had happened to her but the foolish girl was just happy because of the name I called.

" You mean you went to his company?" She asked and I nodded, not seeing a big deal in it.

" Oh my gosh Mica, did you get to see my crush? He is so handsome".

I looked at her in amazement, If only she knew the kind of bizarre man she was calling her crush, he never smiled and he is bossy.

" Don't get over yourself Nini, he is not your knight in shining armor or anything, he is simply just a weird man".

" I know he is weird but I can't stop staring at his pictures online, he is the the most handsome man in the whole of Seattle" she replied in a dreamy voice and I was taken aback, wasn't she the person that said her boyfriend Liam was the most handsome man she has ever seen so what changed?.

" I thought you said Liam is the only handsome man here in Seattle?" I asked, eyeing her Mockingly.

" Come off it Mica, we both know he can't be compared to Lucan Lim right?".

I sighed softly, this girl was just a lost cause. I sprawled myself on the bed and closed my eyes to have a nap before dad calls, I was in no mood to play video games again.

" Mica" Nini called after a while.

" What is it this time?".

" Are you going back to see him or is this the end?" She asked in an excited voice, it felt as if she was the one who met him and not me.

" I don't know, after all your crush didn't have twenty five dollars to pay for the snacks I delivered to him and can you imagine he asked me to come get it in his house?".

" What?" Her eyes opened wide in excitement," when is that?, I should make my hair and look presentable when we go there".

My mouth dropped in amazement, " Go to where?Are you trying to cheat on Liam?"

She laughed, " come of it Mica, I am not trying to cheat on him okay. I just really like Lucan just like everyone does and I can't miss an opportunity to see him in real life and you my friend will make that possible".

" Very well then, you can go all by yourself" I answered and laid back down.

" I will make your favorite chicken salad if you take me with you" she tried to bribe me knowing how much I loved her chicken salad.

" Not working" I answered, I have to be firm in my resolve.

" Mica please".

" Okay fine, I will take you with me" I answered after a while, it won't do any harm to take her right?.

" Thank you so much best friend" she said and jumped on my body. Soon enough the room was filled with our laughter. 

I suddenly stopped laughing as it dawned on me that I didn't get his address.

" What happened again?" Nini asked.

" I forgot to take his address?"

" What?" She screamed, her eyes almost popping out of their socket.

" He asked me to meet his receptionist and she kept looking at me weirdly so I forgot".

She smiled evilly at me, " not a big deal Mica, I will get dressed and we will go back to take the address from the weird receptionist".

" But…." I wanted to speak but the look in her eyes made me shut up. When Nini gets angry, she could really be scary.

" Okay fine, get changed, let's go and get the address from the weird receptionist".

" Good" she smiled and walked into her closet.
