Poseidon's Kingdom 2

I thought the carriage would resemble the ambience of the Underworld, dark with some red, but it was something I was not expecting. Light browns with a tan interior, gold trimmings along with light colored horses, all except for Absalom, Luci’s horse. His head turned to watch us step in. Giving him a little wave, his ears twitched back and forth until I sat on the soft cushion.

Candles lit up the beautiful interior as Luci sat down and shut the door. “Are you ready?” I nodded excitedly, sitting close to the window so I could peer out.

No coachman steered the horses. They took off on their own accord as they trotted only to be gently lifted off the ground. Loki had a book in his hand,  but quickly shut it to look out with me. “I wish we could take the carriage more often,” he mused. “They only just opened up all the portals within the last twenty-five years. This used to be the only way to travel.”

Uriel is so funny.. she thinks Luci’s manhood talks! I love how she thinks he told her it was going to destroy her.
