1| A Magical Prophecy Unites Them

“The Alpha! I found Luna! She was born and lives in modern human civilization, the Republic of Shomerseth. You have to pick her up soon."

Rula Whitney is no ordinary woman. Apart from being an elite prostitute, she was a ‘half quarter’, with werewolf blood running through her. The Alpha is looking for her, not as a Rula, but as a Luna Mate.

….

Capital of Ondalle Haven, Republic of Shomerseth.

Ondalle Haven is like being cursed. Bad weather brought rainstorms to sweep across cities in the Republic of Shomerseth tonight.

Unfortunately for Rula, she's trapped. Black clouds gathered in the sky, forming a knot just above Rula's black umbrella. The wind blew coldly, slapping the dress against Rula's feet as she walked.

“I have to find a safe place,” Rula muttered while looking up. The big tree won't protect her until this storm stops. Maybe even kill her.

Rula saw the porch of a shop. She intends to come and take shelter. At least until the storm stops, the wind doesn't blow, and once lightning doesn't strike.

However, the heavy rain obscured Rula's eyesight even though she had to cross the street, then came and knocked on the door. Rula hesitantly stared into the darkness of the night.

The storm struck the big tree behind Rula, almost making it collapse onto her tiny body. Rula couldn't dodge. She let go of the umbrella in surprise, crouched down, and then protected her body under her own cupped hands.

"I don't want to die today. I haven't paid my debt to Grandma Willson!"

Rula closed her eyes, hoping the sharp branch wouldn't punch a hole in her head.

However, Rula felt something protect her. Something big and warm. Rula slowly opened her eyes. Like a giant, the man protected Rula with his broad back.

"Wow! How handsome is his face?” Rula thought. "Is this what the angel of death looks like?"

Rula thought she was on the verge of death from being hit by a tree. "Grandma Willson's fairy tales are real." Rula slowly stretched out her hand, about to touch that handsome face with eagle eyes that stared at her unblinkingly. "Can I touch it?"

"Rula Whitney?"

"His voice is so melodious." Rula still wasn't fully conscious.

Her pessimism about God makes Rula believe death will come beautifully and comfortably even though she is a high-class prostitute.

"Rula?" He called her again. The man touched Rula's cold hand, making the girl extremely surprised. Finally, he managed to restore Rula's sanity.

"How do you know my name?" asked Rula, still in her comfortable position. This man's broad back was more useful than the umbrella that had left Rula in the rainstorm.

The man smiled. “Goddess Luna's divination says I am your husband.”

Rula pushed the burly man's body. What a strange man. "Who are you?" she asked. "Who ordered you?"

Rula didn't care about the rain drenching her body, even though earlier, she was desperately trying to protect herself from the rain tonight.

“Mr. Paxton told you to follow me?” Rula stared at his appearance. “That's right. You must be the executioner!”

Rula ventured closer to the man. It was common for executioners, drug dealers, or even petty killers to follow her in secret. She has much debt.

"Tell your boss I won't run away!" Rula snapped at him.

“I will pay for everything! Even I will give the bonus!” Rula boasted herself. Even just to eat, she had to save money this month.

Rula put her hands on her hips in front of him. "Hey, you! Listen to me carefully.”

“I served a man last night, but that man tricked me. He didn't pay me for my services. Whereas lately, the county police are hunting down the coast of Ondalle Haven and arresting everyone like me." Rula pointed at herself.

Rula is a prostitute on the Ondalle Haven Coast.

"So this is how Goddess Luna will give birth to you, Rula?" His voice was so low, but Rula swore she heard the words. It's like an insult.

Rula narrowed her eyes. "What are you bragging about?" Rula approached him, getting closer. “Just go home. I don't ....”

Rula had not finished speaking, the wind was blowing harder. The tree beside Rula had completely collapsed. Spontaneously, the man pulled Rula's body. The huge tree hit his back, hiding Rula's body underneath.

Rula was shocked. A tree trunk large enough to stab the man's right arm. Blood dripped slowly, falling right on Rula's face.

“Your arm ....” Rula pointed at the man. "You're hurt."

The man glanced at his arm. "So?" he asked. "You will marry me if...." The man was silent when he found Rula passed out in front of him. "Ah, is Luna's reincarnation this weak?"

….

Coastal Ondalle Haven, Rula's residence.

He waited for a long time before finally hearing Rula's voice again. The woman woke up from her stupor.

"Rula, we have to go." He approached Rula. "I must return to the palace," he said. He stood beside Rula, holding out his hand. "Come with me, according to Grimmwolf's shield crest prophecy."

Rula woke up from her sleep. She looked at the man with a strange smile. "Are you crazy?"

"How did you know I lived here?" Rula started sniping. “How did you know my name was Rula?” she asked again.

The man crouched in front of Rula. "Goddess Luna gave birth to you for me."

"This man is crazy."

“I came to pick you up, Rula. You are Luna Mate.”

"Correct. I should be concerned. He's crazy.”

Rula clasped her hand, and the smile was forced. "Where is your house? Your family must be looking for you.” She was trying to understand it.

Rula has a friend like this. Depression made him a freak. Maybe this guy is too.

"I will call your family." Rula is gentle. "Where do you live?"

"Would you come with me if I asked you to take me home?" He doesn't have much time. Rula had to go with him.

Rula nodded. "Where do you live?" she asked again. Her eyes gave warmth. She protects him. "Which city?"

"NorthWulf addresses me as The Alpha," the man said firmly. "I live and rule along the land north of Lew-Longdon, Rula."

Rula nodded again. "The situation must be serious. I have to understand it.”

“I'll take you home. Please show me the way. You must be lost," Rula said confidently.

"The Hound Squad will escort us." He rose from his position, reaching out to help Rula up. Rondolf had not expected it to be this easy to take Rula with him.

“Black Hunter is waiting for us, Rula. We have to get back to the forest soon.” Rondolf added again.

Rula took her hand hesitantly. He's a healthy man. His body is stocky and tall. His face is handsome and charming. Too bad ... he's crazy.

"I just simply went with him. There is no debate. I’m just gonna take him home, and we parted ways. We shall not meet again.” Rula convinced herself in her heart. "That's right, Rula. It's an easy flow.”
