Alpha Chester's POV

Last night was the most hectic, shocking and relieving night I have ever had. If anyone had told me that I would find her again, I'd have called them a liar to their face and then beheaded them for even daring to lie to me.

I couldn't believe I found her. She was back to being mine. Finally, I had a female to call my own again. A female to sit beside me as I ruled my pack. A Luna for the Chesterfield Pack.

She was human. That was the only problem. My people would not accept her into our midst. They'll hate her and demand her killed. But I could protect her. I'll do my very best to protect her.

After she fell unconscious in my arms last night, the older woman there began to cry. Thinking she was dead. I saw the look of dejection on her father's face. That broken look I had when I faced a similar loss twenty years ago.

“She's just unconscious,” I announced and relief fell on their faces. There and then, I knew I couldn't kill them. I couldn't kill my mate's family. She would hate me. She could reject me. She could truly kill herself. I was not sure I could survive one more hour if I was stripped of her again.

I didn't know why, but I ordered for her family to be spared. My Parliament of Wolves would revolt for that action of mine. But let them come. I didn't care anymore. I'd protect my mate, and her family had become mine.

I took Icelyn in my arms and walked out of that mansion. Next, I brought her to my hidden pack and had her treated by the healer who kept eyeing me suspiciously but didn't say anything. I assigned her a maid and ordered that she be brought down for breakfast with me when she woke up in the morning.

And now that she was standing in front of me for breakfast, I was not sure I made the right decision by wanting to have breakfast with her. There was nothing I could eat right then that would seem as delicious as the beauty standing in front of me. Heck, I suddenly wanted to throw up every rubbish I'd been eating and digest her instead.

Slowly, I leaned against my seat and took in the whole of her morning glory.

“Good morning, my Luna,” I drawled. Her eyebrows furrowed at what I called her.

“Your what?” she asked with a frown. I suddenly remembered she was human and had no idea how my world operated. I would have to teach her the basics for her to even be able to survive here.

I drew my seat back and got on my feet. Her eyes followed my movements religiously as I walked to where she was standing.

“My Luna,” I repeated as I stood directly in front of her. My wolf jerked up as Icelyn's eyes fell on my abs. She looked them over and her lips unconsciously parted.

My mate was checking me out.

I flexed my muscles and she gasped and looked away.

“What's... What's a Luna?” she asked as she looked away from me. I drew closer to her, putting just a foot distance between us. Her eyes widened and she tried to step back. But I grabbed her arm, turned her around and pinned her to my chest. She yelped but stayed still as I pinned her to myself. My right arm crossed her chest and I brought my lips to her ear.

“A Luna is equivalent to a Queen in your world,” I whispered and she shivered.

“Icelyn, you became my Queen from the moment I set my eyes on you,” I added then inhaled her hair. I could see her eyes widening. Then she began to wiggle away from me, but she couldn't pull away.

“Let me go!” She groaned but I smirked.

“I won't let you go until you relax in my arms,” I said. She exhaled and then relaxed. I waited for ten seconds to see if she'd struggle again, but she didn't. As much as I enjoyed her against my naked skin, I released her and she instantly turned to glare at me.

“I am not...your...queen,” she panted. I smirked and crossed my arms. Her eyes glanced at my biceps again but she quickly looked back at my eyes.

“Why is that, Luna?”

“Stop calling me that!”

I cracked a laugh and gently raised my hand to her face. I expected her to slap it away, but she didn't. That made my heart leap. I slipped my palm around her cheek and raised her face to look at me.

“Have breakfast with me, Icelyn,” I demanded. My eyes moved down to her lips and they glowed amber. Her lips were plump, red and heart-shaped. They were mine. Mine to nibble on. Mine to bite.

“I'm not hungry,” she whispered then gulped. She winced after and I looked at her throat.

“Does it hurt?” I asked.

“Y-yes,” she answered then looked away from me. I lowered my head and kissed the sides of the bandage.

“Can you eat?”

She looked at the table and I could sense she was hungry.

“Come, I'll feed you.”

“I'm not a baby.”

“You are my baby.”

She glared at me but didn't object as I led her to the table. I sat at my chair, then pulled her gently to sit on my lap. She wanted to pull away, but I pulled her firmly and she landed on me.

“Be a good girl and open up for me,” I cooed and rubbed her waist. She shivered and looked at the lavish breakfast set.

“Are you vegan?” I asked as I picked bacon with a fork.

She shook her head.

“Good. Because we consume meat well in my world. Not that I'd see you differently if you didn't, though.”

I brought the fork up and was surprised a little when she opened up without any drama. She took the bacon and chewed it down hungrily. My mate was hungry. Suddenly, I wanted to fill her stomach with more food. I fed her eggs, pancakes, fruits and more bacon until she looked drowsy against my shoulder.

“Full?” I asked. She nodded and closed her eyes as she relaxed against me.

“You have quite the appetite though. I was afraid you'd eat me too if I offered myself to you.”

“I would,” she whispered then fell asleep. I patted her gently until she was deeply in. I carried her myself and took her to my bed. After tucking her in, I placed a kiss on her cheek then dressed up and left the room. I needed to be in the office for official matters until 4 pm. I didn't want to leave her, but I had to for now.

The thought that I had found my mate again was so thrilling. The feeling of ecstasy, extreme joy, possessiveness, protectiveness... All that rushed into me when I met eyes with Icelyn. This second experience of finding my mate was even more elating than the first.

However, my joy that day was short-lived. My phone rang just two hours after I arrived at the office.

“Alpha, she's escaped the Pack House,” my butler broke the news.

  • Luna Overnight; From Human To Luna   The Weight of the Promise

lpha Chester's POV My chest was hurting badly. I could hardly even breathe. No, it wasn't the injury. That was mostly healed now. But it was the desolation that came with knowing I caused my mate's pain. Again. Her screams of terror kept echoing in my head, I could feel her heart beat as if it was inside me. That wasn't even the worst pain. The pain I felt knowing she absolutely hated it here and hated me for keeping her here was terrible. I knew what I had to do yet I couldn't do it. Yes, I was selfish. Yes, I was afraid of living the way I had the past decades. Yes, I wanted my mate by my side. I shut my eyes and dived down the cliff, into the blue-green waters below. There was a grotto waterfall close to the fortress I was always took a swim at. I hadn't been here since I came with Icelyn and was going to show her this place after her first assessment test. But I was here alone. “You know you can still catch a cold even as Alpha, don't you?” I heard the keeper's voice outside

  • Luna Overnight; From Human To Luna   The Promise

Icelyn's POV Somewhere no one would look? Somewhere I specifically will not look?I could recall the Alpha had said we were only going to train around the marked perimeter and was blabbing on about territories and safety. I didn't really pay attention that night as I was half dozing. But if he expected me to have heard him that night, and to believe that he would take his word for it. Then he might have hidden the artefacts outside of the marked territory. No, really. No one would suspect he would go outside his territory to hide stuff. What if it got stolen since that place wasn't under his watch? People would think he would hide stuff under his nose where he could watch them. Well, not today. I wouldn't think that. “I think he has hidden them in the mountains,” I boldly declared, proud of myself. Now, how to search those mountains? I definitely couldn't scale them and I doubt he'd hide artefacts on top knowing I couldn't get there. ‘Wasn’t that the point?’ Oh he better not h

  • Luna Overnight; From Human To Luna   The Other One

Alpha Chester's POV Something happened while I had my eyes closed. I was meditating, breathing in the icy air from the mountains around us and listening to the rustle of the leaves as they moved to the direction of the wind. When I saw her. She was right there in the fields with me, though I had never been here with her. She was wearing her signature colours. Black. She said she loved it even before it reminded her of me. She wore a headband around her straight dyed black hair and in her hand was a gun. I couldn't believe my eyes. She had never come to me all these years. So many times, so many nights, so many days I cried and begged her to at least show herself so I wouldn't lose memory of what she looked like, felt like. Yet she never came. She turned her back once and turned it forever. And yet here she was. Twenty years down the line after I had finally moved on from her and was on my way to finding fulfilment again. “Rave,” she called, her voice deep and cranky. Her voice

  • Luna Overnight; From Human To Luna   “Mine“

Icelyn's POV I couldn't understand my body's reaction to him. It was like it had a mind of its own. There were so many times I literally craved the Alpha like he was my favourite meal. Back at the pack house, I would wake up in the middle of the night and curl on my side, grabbing tight unto a pillow and sometimes even screaming into it just to forget how my entire body was crying for his touch. Just one touch. A slight touch. Heck, just his scent would do me good. He smelled so good, like pineapple. Did he know he smelled like pineapple? Or was I the only one who could smell it. Was I weird?Right now, those cravings I usually had for the Alpha's presence intensified. I couldn't control the way I wanted him to touch me more. To hold me longer. To dip lower than just my neck and collarbones. Some parts of my body were weirdly calling out for him. Would be touch me there? Should I let him touch me there?I groaned and rubbed myself against him as he sucked the space between my collar

  • Luna Overnight; From Human To Luna   Her Not-So-Clean Neck

Alpha Chester's POV I returned from the woods with fresh kill ready to make some meat broth. Some hot soup would help her feel better and stronger. I was a little scared that she wouldn't wake up until three days later as is her custom. But I was so glad when I returned and saw her talking with the keeper. I took in a deep breath and approached them. “You awoke,” I said and laid my kill over the table. The keeper scurried to take it and clean it up. Icelyn looked at the venison with a wild expression. “What...what...” I looked at the venison and wondered what was making her look so shocked. Then I remember my mate grew up in isolation. Not everyone who even grew up free had the privilege of seeing stuff like that. Except in our worl and that was a very different case as we were taught basic hunting from childhood.Icelyn screamed and jerked as the keeper lifted the kill by its hind limb, its bloody head dangling from the floor. I sped to her side, grabbed her and turned her the

  • Luna Overnight; From Human To Luna   Laps By Dawn

Icelyn's POV The cold wind slapping across my face as Alpha Chester sped through the night with me was exhilarating. I loved it so much I couldn't stop screaming into the night. I held on tight with both my arms and legs wrapped around him and I let myself enjoy the moment. Sure, a few thoughts of reasoning tried to sneak into my mind. What if he's taking you where he's gonna kill you? We were in the woods now and it was quite dense but he managed to dodge every tree, every branch, every rock. Nothing touched me but air. If he was gonna kill me. Then this was a good way to die. I held him tighter and lifted my chin so the air could hit my face better. I laughed with all my soul. This had to be better than a rollercoaster. I didn't even want to try rollercoasters anymore. This was better. He finally slowed and reached a stop. I was breathing so hard and my arms were shaking from all that tight grabbing. He was breathing just as hard as he slowly let me down to my feet. I stagge

Icelyn's POVMy entire body hurt as I stirred on a bed and tried moving my neck. Everything hurt, including my eyes as I tried prying them open.
