Chapter 144

"It would seem Mali used your eyes to either spy on you or keep you from seeing the truth, had you been normal you would not have been so easily fooled by the fake mate bond and may have even gone back to seek your pup and true mate, though I do not understand her methods and reasonings, I mean what could have possibly been her goal or end game?"

"Well there is only one way to find out, Gyahan can you provide our star prisoner with a meal, you can give her the serum to mix into it" he reaches into his chest and pulls out a small bottle and passes it to Gyahan "oo oo it's so cold oo oo oo" she runs off carrying the bottle.

"What a funny little one" I chuckle "you have no idea" after a few minutes a mindlink comes through my mind 'she's eaten your majesty'  she snickers through the link 'she practically inhaled the food' "my very naughty attendant has notified me that our prisoner has eaten, shall we go see her or should I have her brought here?" 

"It is best to limit her interactions with others so we shall go to her"

"Very well, please follow me"

I get up from my throne and lead out and they all follow after me, we walk through the palace and down towards the dungeon, Mali is a water elemental so she is placed in a fire cell so she is not able to escape.

When we arrive the Gargoyles bow “your majesty” that is when Mali looks up, her hands instinctively goes to her swollen belly and she rises to her feet and storms over to the cell door but naturally she doesn’t touch it “how could you treat a she wolf with pup like this?! Where is my mate?!” I fold my arms “oh so now he’s your mate” “do you think I enjoyed sharing my mate with you? It was disgusting having him come to me and smelling you all over him so many nights!”

“Then why the hell did you go about and do something like that in the first place Mali! With your own mate!”

“How else was I going to make sure you never have pups! Binding him when he comes to you and unbinding him when he comes back to me!” she covers her mouth with a gasp after making her statement.

The Winter Wards move closer, but not too close as obviously the heat from the prison would affect them as well, because, well their names explain it right?

“What method of magic did you use to create the false bond?”

“A Creation spell that has to be redone every Three days at 3:00 AM” she covers her mouth again.

“From whom did you learn how to do the things you have done and for how long have you known them and where does this person reside?”

She is trying to fight it, her hands are covering her mouth and she is actually retching trying to keep her words down, “it is no use trying to fight it young one, no matter how long it takes or how long you try to keep it inside the truth will most certainly come out, no matter what you do, trying to hold it in will only cause you pain so do not fight it”

“I met a man, he said he was a Warlock and he needed help, he asked me to help him find someone, his, his beloved and in exchange for helping him find her he said he’d give me anything in his power, so I, I made a deal with him that he’d give me something in exchange for my looking for her and he asked what it was I desired and I naturally want to be the Empress and things just fell into place”

The Winter Wards, walk back and forth “why didn’t the so called warlock go and find his beloved himself?”

“I don’t know, he said he couldn’t say but I did notice he had marks on him, like some sort of curse on his body” “hmm sounds like a binding curse” “did you find his beloved?” “no” “do you think us fools young one? No one would continue to barter with you without some sort of earnings on their end!”

“N-No, it’s not like that, he only g-gave me the false bond spell, after I met him again and had nothing to give to him I never saw him again, I got desperate and would sneak out and go looking for Witches and found one and she gave me what I needed at the cost of the life of my first Three pups”

The head ward turns and stares at her “you exchanged the lives of your pups for dark power?! That is the ultimate taboo Mali! How could you do such a thing, not One but Three! Three! Lives lost because of your useless and petty jealousy! What sort of Empress would you be with a thinking like that, all of the Elemental Kingdom would have been doomed?!”

“Do you still have ties with this Witch?”

She shakes her head but shouts “yes!”

“What did you do to me? Why can’t I control my body?”

“Where is she located?”
