Chapter 173

She extends her hand to me and I reach out to her, she pulls me and holds me like I weigh nothing, she smiles and touches my face then pulls me in for a kiss, a heat spreads through my body moving from my lips all the way to my core.

When she releases me I feel as though I was born again, all my wounds have healed and I feel like I have the strength of a thousand Lycans “stand with me, my King, let us save our people” her voice sounds other worldly and I simply touch her face and nod “anything for you my Queen” she shifts into her beautiful Lycan and howls loudly and Hunter in turn responds to his mate as does our people and in no time she takes off.

She tears through the creatures like they are nothing, making her way to the hell fire and I follow after her ensuring nothing attacks her from behind, as we approach I see Tabitha who runs towards her “SALA! SALA!” so her Sala was Red all along, Piper stops just before her and allows Tabitha to hug her but their greetings was short lived.

Piper picks Tabitha up and rolls away with her as another ball of fire comes shooting at us and once again explodes when it collides with the hellfire.

Piper puts Tabitha down and leaps off into the woods and we can hear screams and see fire moving through the woods from one spot to the next, I duck as I feel a presence approach me, it’s their leader who clearly has not given up on ending my life, we fight with him trying once again to get the upper hand of me but I do not give him the chance, I manage to pin him down and rip one of his arms out.

He screams in pain and wriggles trying to get out of my hold, there is so much fighting around us but the creatures stop when they hear his screams and turn to us, just then Piper comes running through carrying not one but two, the woman and a man I’ve never seen before.

The woman is weaved and bound by flames, still with a look of defiance in her eyes and the man looks petrified and exhausted.

A gasp from next to me takes my attention as Tabitha runs from beside me, both the woman and the man’s eyes widen they see her approach, now the woman looks fearful and the man looks happy “my beloved!” She shouts.

Her mate? That man is her mate, Piper releases him and he runs to her and they embrace eachother, Tabitha pulls away and looks at him “where have you been all this time?” he doesn’t answer “what, what is it?” she takes a few steps away from him “y-you’ve turned? You switched over to the dark side didn’t you?! DIDNT YOU?! So that’s why no matter how hard I searched I was never able to find you, you were with them?! How could you?! After everything we went through because of them! You joined them?!” why won’t you speak?!”

The woman laughs, while coughing “he is under my binding spell, he simply can not speak, and I assure you, if anything happens to me he will remain mum for the rest of his miserable life!” she then cackles.

The earth begins to tremble and crack, a dark slime rises from below, oozing out and the scent is horrific, a gust of snow comes through and the Wards step out into the chaos as our kind scrambles trying to get away from the slime.

“NO! This can not be happening!” “hahahaha! The soul tar pit is open! Come to claim the souls of the living! Ahhhhhh!” she screams “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Piper has stuck a claw into her chest and is slowly pulling what look likes a black thread from within her, she thrashes around trying to get away and the Wards move closer and make ready one the boxes given to them by Tabitha.

“I WILL HAUNT YOU! I WILL FIND A WAY TO RISE AGAIN! JUST YOU WAIT!!! UMI AVENGE MEEEEE!” she looks down at the man trapped and bleeding beneath me before falling limp as soon as the thread leaves her body completely, Piper drops it into the box and the Wards close it and seal it.

“What will you do with her vessel?” they ask, she does not respond, she simply drags her over to the hell fire and throw her into it after pulling her heart out and dropping it in after, somewhere in the distance the cries of heart break is heard, I suppose she was the female to one of these creatures.

“We need to get our people away to safety, the tar will turn them against us and fighting against our own with our own training will be difficult”

I open a mind link and tell them to get away and stay away from the tar, and I see them trying to flee to higher ground.

“How do we stop it?”

The man, taps Tabitha and shows her a piece of paper “he says we have to destroy the Lord’s power core, it’s hidden away back in his dimension” their ‘lord’ coughs from below me “you are a traitor warlock’’
