"You intoxicate me so much, Mate" the man whispered against my hair, his hand fondling with the opening of my pussy lips.

"Lucia, where the fuck have you been?" Jenny yelled over the phone immediately I picked up her call.

I yawned loudly, spreading my arms in the air as I replied in a sleepy voice. "Last night was hectic. But did you find your mate?"

Jenny sighed, a long draggy sigh that felt like forever, "Yes, I met my mate last night, but he rejected me outright."

"Why?" I jerked up immediately with shock. "Is he mad or what?"

In terms of beauty, Jenny was an all-rounder. I do envy my friend sometimes whenever I stare at her for a long time.

Hearing that she was rejected by some man, no. He must be someone that doesn't match her standard. Perhaps that was why he rejected her.

"Where you at? I'm dressed now and preparing to leave" she brought me back from my trance.

"Oh yes. Wait for me in the parking lot. I'll join you."

After Jenny ended the call, I looked beside me, but the man I slept with last night wasn't there.

I jerked up from the bed, the stain of my virginity spread over the white sheets, making me feel some kind of euphoria.

With giggles, I stepped out of bed to check the bathroom.

He looked down, since he was taller than me and flashed me a charming smile. Well, it was a charming smile up until it sparked some memories in my brain and I fell back immediately.

"No!" I whispered, shaking my head to deny the reality before me. This can't be my mate.

"What's wrong?" He frowned, trying to come nearer, but I threw my hands in the air to stop him. "Don't come near me!"

My head was reeling. My vision was struggling between being blurry and being clear. How can this be?

Just a second ago, I was rejoicing that I had met my mate and that he took my virginity willingly. But now.... "No. Goddess, you can't do this to me."

He tried nearing me again but this time, I ran out of the bathroom with shaky fingers.

Seeing my trembling fingers, the memories of that day came back in large bits so much that I felt I could die.

I hurriedly dressed up before bolting out of the room. No. I can't stay even for a while longer or else, if I don't faint, something else is going to happen to me.

I walked soullessly toward the parking lot and there, my extravagant la posh la gaga bestie was standing beside the car, recording her vlog again.

Seeing me, she hailed. "Alright, bye fans. My friend is here."

"Hey Lucia. How...." She was about to jubilate, but I raised my hand and stopped her.

Jenny frowned, but entered our SUV after me. "What happened to you? Why being cold all of a sudden?"

I turned my head to look at her. Immediately our eyes met, hot tears found its way down my eyes again. Jenny quickly hugged me. "Lucia, what's happening?"

"Jenny, it's him" I whispered silently, each syllable burning my heart like branding iron.

Still clueless, Jenny hugged me tighter, patting me like an older sister. "If you don't want to talk about it, then don't"

More tears rushed down. "No Jenny. I'm sure it's him. I can never forget those piercing honey eyes that killed Teja."

She released me immediately, shock rented her face. "You say what?"

"My mate is the man that murdered my sister, Teja". I finally dropped the bombshell.
