Willa's POV

"What do we do now?" I mumbled, realizing I just messed up big time.

"Now we find Taran and get him to mark you." Kirsch said with a determined look, "It's our only option."

"But Nox--"

"You need to persuade her while I'm gone, okay?" Kirsch left a peck on my hair.

"Wait, where are you going?!" I grabbed his arm while he moved against the door and listened closely.

"I have to go and check around, see if I can find out where they keep Taran." Kirsch sighed before he pulled me into his arm, "I know it can be a bit scary to stay here alone, but--"

"I'm okay, but..." I took a deep breath, "But Nox won't talk to me anymore. I couldn't find her."

"You couldn't find her?!" Kirsch rose an eyebrow in shock, "She must be hiding deep if she's not in deep sleep. But you know what? It's your mind, little kitten. You can reach her if you want to."

"Okay."

I managed a smile before Kirsch left in a haste.
