239 Who Are You Texting

Taran's POV

Days passed, but everything seemed fine.

Kirsch kept a regular daily report, but mostly about how Stone sent over people for some non-important spots on patrol, and Kirsch has sent men over, too. Every time Stone came over to our pack, he would inform Kirsch, and do a regular patrol together with Kirsch. As much as Kirsch hated it, it was better that Stone was kept under his nose.

I know I'm not imagining it that Willa, or should I say, Nox, had been less happy ever since Kirsch left. Though I kept her company -- or rather -- she wouldn't let me go anywhere without her attached on my waist, there was always this gloomy cloud in her eyes that no amount of ice cream could chase away.

Yep, ice cream.

Lived a thousand lives in misery, ice cream has become the dark goddess's one solace that she can face without guilt.
