"Why did you help me?" I asked Adante before, after he saved my life from the brink of death. He took me to a remote place, to an island. Where the police are unlikely to track or even follow me.

He just sat quietly in front of me while he treated the wound I got from the back of my thigh. Fortunately, it didn't go too deep, so he removed it immediately and covered it with a white bandage.

"There, it's over!" he said as he stood up. I sat up slowly from the position I was in earlier because I didn't want to fall down and the bullet might go deeper from the inside.

I followed him with a look of surprise on my face. I also watched him all the time from head to toe, back.

It cannot be denied that he has the looks and is really attractive at first glance. However, he's not my type of guy. I once fell in love with a young man, but the end of our love affair was sad.
