"You must be mistaken." I assure Velvet as I read through the letter she had just given to me. Everyone knows who Greg Dalton is, a multi millionaire with enough achievements to feed my generation so it can't be possible that he had chosen me to escort him to his family dinner, me of all people.

Velvet spins in the chair that she is in and sighs, "I'm glad I'm not. I don't know why, but he wants you."

Velvet runs the group I work with. We are not prostitutes but we get paid to satisfy men, or women, depending on who is involved.

"Why would Greg pick me, I'm only a level one." I continue to say, still unable to believe my eyes. I've only been working for two months and it's not a surprise that I'm at the lowest level.

"Don't think you're too lucky, he only selected based on image, not profile. Pack your things Lena, you're going tomorrow night, your tickets are ready, all that is left is for you to take your tests for a health check and that's all."

"Tomorrow?" I wondered aloud. I had not taken the time to process these things yet and it was already happening so soon.

"Yes, tomorrow."

"Okay, are there any notes on how he likes to have sex? Or something?" I asked her.

"He doesn't want the sex, just the act. Don't fuck this up. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, you rarely get these back."

"He doesn't want the sex?" I blinked twice, none of my make clients had said that before. There was something strange about this Greg of a man and I was going to get to the end of it.

"No. Go on now, take the rest of the day off so you can prepare for tomorrow. Shave those legs and down there, you know, in case he changes his mind." She smirked at me.

I nodded shyly and turned around to take my leave. Not only was I going with a millionaire, I was getting paid fifty thousand dollars.

I couldn't wait to get home to tell Mira.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I couldn't believe I was going to do this. I had contacted Velvet for one of her women because I had used her services before now.

The pressure to get married was too much for me to handle and I understood why my fifty nine year old mother was eager. She wanted to see her grandchildren before she died and being her only child and not married at thirty six was killing her.

I sighed. At least taking this woman to tomorrow's dinner would shut them up for a while and so I was willing to do this just for that reason. I didn't plan on sleeping with her, it was only for one night anyways.

I decided to take a walk that would clear my head tonight.

"I'm home Mira." I said, closing the door behind me. We shared the room together and we both worked for Velvet. I had a lot of bags with me, I'd restocked out groceries because I was filled with so much happiness.

I rolled my eyes when I heard moaning sounds coming from the other room. Mira's boyfriend was probably here. I put the groceries down and decided to wait for her to finish while I thought the whole thing through.

It was an hour later when she came back to the living room.

"I didn't know you were back." She said, putting her hair up in a ponytail. I didn't like that Sam was still in our bedroom, he made me uncomfortable.

"You won't believe what happened to me today." I grinned at her, "Guess who I'm going to have dinner with tomorrow."

"You know I hate guessing." She rolled her eyes at me.

"Greg Dalton!" I squeaked.

"You're lying." She let out a small gasp.

"I swear!" I chuckled, "I'm so nervous and excited, I don't even know how to act." I spun around. This was bringing me closer to my dreams more than ever.

"Thank you for introducing me to this Mira, without you, I wouldn't ever have gotten this chance, ever." I sighed and pulled her into a hug. I stopped when I realised she wasn't returning the hug.

"What's wrong?" I pulled away with a frown.

"It's nothing, it's just I've been working with Velvet for three years and I've never gotten clients like Greg." She said in a low voice.

"Why does it matter? This happened to me by chance." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "You're my friend, you should be happy for me."

"I am, but that's besides the point! Every good thing happens to you, what do you have that I don't?" She was starting to raise her voice.

"I can't believe this is coming from you." I shook my head at her and turned to leave. "Why would you say that?"

She didn't respond as I left the house. I'd never have thought Mira was jealous of me, I'd always admired her because I've always seen her as the best no matter what.

The scene kept replaying in my head as I walked down the road. I had no idea a car was coming in the opposite direction at full speed until a hand yanked me out of the way.

Still in shock, I held my chest to get myself settled.

"Oh my God, thank you so much..." I began to say until I recognized who had saved me. It was Greg Dalton.
