I instantly began to shake my head. "This can't be happening." My heart rate was increasing. We knew well never to be late for any event. We prioritised being prompt for our clients and especially for clients like Greg. I could feel it, I knew that I was doomed and there was no way out of this.
My fingers were shaky as I typed to let Vivian know. I was planning on avoiding it and just going there on my own but I knew she would know how to make things easier.
"What are you talking about?" She yelled into the phone as she'd call me immediately just so she could yell at me.
"I don't know how it happened, I'm so sorry." I groaned, "please contact them to let them know there's a delay with the situation, I'll be there in the fastest way possible."
"You get one good job and decide to fuck it up for yourself, fuck it for my brand. I swear girl, if anything goes wrong, I'm sorry but I'm going to lay you off for bringing us such a loss." She continued to yell at me, if only she knew how worse she was making things get for me. That was one thing I constantly feared having to hear. I didn't want to be laid off.
"I'll figure things out." I assured her even though I doubted myself.
I looked back at the card and realised why the address had been switched.
Mira.
It all made sense now, if Greg didn't care about who he had selected, he likely had no idea what I looked like and so if she showed up, he wouldn't question her presence.
Tears began to roll down my eyes as I booked the next taxi. I didn't want to tell Vivian just yet because I knew she would fire Mira but I told her to resend the address to me.
'Greg does not like phone calls but he isn't responding to any of my emails.' she texted me.
"Can you go any faster?" I told the driver of the taxi. He looked at me from the rearview mirror.
"I can't go beyond the speed limits, I'm sorry." He shrugged.
I sniffed and dried my eyes with the back of my palms. Mira knew how much I was fighting for custody of my sister. I had to be financially stable for this and fifty thousand would have done a lot for me.
I had a week left before they let families come have her.
"This is unfair." I cried into my palms.

It felt like forever but we got to the actual hotel. I didn't tip the driver this time. I just opened the door and sprung to my feet while he yelled behind me that I'd left my luggage behind.
I brought my phone out and called the phone number on Greg's card. It was a few more rings to voicemail when he picked up.
"Hi, this is Elena." I announced into the phone, panting heavily. "I know you are with someone else but I'm supposed to be your escort to this event, I have memorised everything in the script and there is a mix up." I rushed my words.
"This is Mr. Greg's assistant, what can I help you with?" The voice on the phone came back.
"Can I talk directly to him?" I requested, waiting outside the hotel.
"I'm sorry ma'am but you can't, if you have any message to relay to him, you will have to speak to me directly." He said conclusively.
I hung up and dialed Vivian immediately.
"Girl, I was just about to call you, Greg said that he is with you and you guys will board the flight in twenty minutes." She said. "It's their private plane..."
"No he's not." I flipped my wrist to see what the time was, "where's this airport at?"
"Avenue three. I'm so confused right kkw."
"He's with Kira, she stole my details and tricked me." I knew I had to let her know.
"What?" She gasped, seeming like she found it hard to believe me. "If that's the truth and he doesn't realise it, then just let it be so we don't get in trouble."
"Let it be? Viv you know how important this is to me." I began to sob.
"I'm sorry." She sighed, "I promise Mira will be punished on her return and I will compensate you the best I can."
This was bullshit, I thought. Without further ado, I waved one more taxi and headed to Avenue three. I had ten minutes to get there and I could still catch up.
I texted Sam to let her know what was going on and although she didn't respond in time, I could picture her angered face tearing through the screen.
The security guards refused my entry upon arrival. I pleaded and argued, refusing to leave and trying to push my way in.
"This is all a misunderstanding, I should be the one on that trip, why isn't anyone listening to me!" I cried.
One of the security men seemed to have enough as he pulled his gun out and pointed it in my direction, "ma'am if you do not leave now, I won't hesitate." That calmed me down but just then through the bars of the tall gate, I saw Greg walk by, a ton of security behind him and like I thought, Mira was casually tagging behind him.
That was all the energy boost I needed. "Greg!" I yelled on top of my voice.
He glanced in my direction and the look on Mira's face was beyond explanation. She looked like she had just seen a ghost.
Greg muttered to the men trailing behind him before he began to head in my direction.
I sighed in relief, hoping he would believe me.
"What's going on here?" He asked, looking at the men guarding the gates and then he fixed his eyes on the man whose gun was pointed at me.
"I was supposed to escort you on your trip, there has been some misunderstanding." I immediately began to say before I no longer had the chance to speak.Greg's expressions were blank as he stared between Mira and I. Mira had gone pale and it was clear that she had not been expecting me to show up."What do you mean?" He questioned."You got the wrong girl sir." I said, trying my best not to slam Mira against a wall there and then. "There was a mix up of some sort." I hoped he would believe me.The security man lowered his gun as if I was bothered in the first place."This is unprofessional in so many ways..." He was saying, still holding up with his blank face. I wished that he would at least show an expression of some sort, but I couldn't tell what he was thinking just by staring at him."And it won't happen again, we promise. I've memorised the entire scri
"You are that girl from last night that almost got herself killed." He said in realisation and I opened my eyes back. I felt embarrassed for thinking otherwise. I didn't like how I was feeling with him around me. I was usually very confident with my other clients but my previous mess up made me nervous, as I didn't want to fuck anything else up."Oh yes, you didn't really give me a chance to thank you enough." My voice faded. I couldn't believe I had thought he would kiss me. A complete stranger."Don't mess anything up for me. I know that not many men do this but this family event is far more important than anything to me." He seemed to be warning me than making a statement and so I nodded fast. I knew we would first have dinner at his house before meeting the rest of his family."Yes sir." I said in a reflex."Very well." He stood to his feet, "I'll take a shower. The make up artist and the hair st
I wouldn't usually mind my clients seeing me naked but he had clearly stated no sex in the contract and so this time I was frightened. What did he want to do to me?Greg took the towel that was hung on the hanger in the room and handed it to me. "Why do you look like you have just seen a ghost?" He raised an eyebrow at me."Um.." I looked away shyly."We will be at my parents' place in an hour. Your clothes, I'm sure Vivian gave you the shopping guidelines." He said.I nodded, wrapping the towel he had given me around my chest.Although I had prepared myself for it the whole time, my nerves still skyrocketed and I could feel the anxiety spark through my veins. As though he could read my mind, Greg placed one hand on my shoulder, "it's going to be alright."I wished he wouldn't have touched me because now my body was respondi
My heart was in tension and so before either one of them got a chance to look up from their phones, I spun on my heels and turned to Greg. "Can I use the bathroom?" I said so only he could hear me."Now?" He raised one eyebrow, studying my face.I nodded fast, "immediately." I really hoped that the bathroom would lead away from the table and towards and so when he pointed behind him, I didn't fully wait for him to describe it to me, I tried to find my way on my own.I heard his mom call from behind me, "where on earth is she headed to?"I found the bathroom effortlessly, went inside and locked the doors behind me. This was a complete mess. Things would have gone well if none of this was here. My cover was blown. With shaky hands, I brought my phone out to dial Vivian."Why are you on the phone? Shouldn't you be with Greg's family?" She said in that mad
Greg looked between Emery and I. As if I was not bothered at all, I began to out up an act, "I have no idea what you're talking about. But it's possible, I travel a lot because of my work and if you're a busy business man, then I'm sure you've seen me at least once." I shrugged.Emery doubted it but the look I saw on his face convinced me that he didn't remember where we'd met. I internally sighed in relief when I saw that he didn't push things further. When I turned to Jack though, I knew that he recognised who I was and he started to seem shaky. I couldn't blame the man but I knew if he had the chance to talk to me alone, he wouldn't hesitate."So, what are your plans?" His mom cut in, the only one who seemed comfortable and happy with my presence."For?" I raised one eyebrow, starting to fit into my food for the first time. My nerves seemed to ensure that I wasn't hungry."Your future together, a
Greg povI was obviously thrown away by my brother's words and when I looked at her face, I just knew that she was starting to think her actions through. I hadn't been very thoughtful with this decision. Emery was one of those guys that could barely sit at home and I knew that he was constantly with a lot of girls.Elena was waiting for me to respond while my mother stared between the two of us in shock. It was as though she was waiting for him to declare that it was one of his stupid jokes."What are you talking about?" She finally broke the awkward silence between us all."Emery is right." My dad suddenly interfered. "I thought she looked familiar too, she was with a friend of mine during one of our trips that we took." He said, I knew immediately that he was referring to himself."Greg, did you know this?" My mom was tearing up and I wanted to just end thin
Our lips remain connected for a while and I could feel myself getting lost in it the longer it took. I had no idea why my hands found their way to her waist and pulled her closer to my chest.A small part of me stayed concious and I tried to remember what it was that I was doing.I finally managed to draw myself to reality. "We can't do this here, they'll wonder what's going on." I was out of breath by now and the kiss had done a lot of things to my body that it should not have. I noticed my erection was growing and her eyes got there too.She was not out of breath and it was so obvious the determination in her eyes. I sighed in conclusion, it wasn't necessarily her fault that she got caught and she did deserve to get paid regardless. Since she wanted this do badly, and my body was cooperating, I thought it would be a good idea to proceed with it then.I nodded and grabbed her waist one more time, pulling her towards me. I reconnected our lips and t
Elena pov Greg and I didn't say a word to each other and I couldn't care less. The only joy that filled my heart at the moment was how that I was able to get the money from him regardless. I wondered what Vivian would say to this news or better still, what Mira would think but what was important, the money was mine. I remembered the look on his mother's face when we said we had to leave so we could sort things out. She had been hoping it was not the truth but she was disappointed. She was such a sweet woman and I would have really liked it if we would have met in a different pattern from this. "You didn't really eat much of your food back there, do you want me to order something for you?" He asked me when we were alone in the room. I shook my head negatively. I didn't care much about food in the moment, let alone of anything else. My excitement was over the top and I wasn't even gettin
