Chapter 1

            Blake POV

"Blake!!" I hear Tammy scream my name. She busts through the door breathing heavily. Seeing tears staining her face, I'm up from my seat quickly, ready to kill whoever is the cause of this.

"Timothy got into a fight with some guys. He has lost control go stop them before they kill my brother!!" She screams, breathing heavily, barely able to get her words out.

"Stay here." I quickly make my way out of the office, closing the door behind me. She's scared that they're going to kill Tim, but it's the wolves who she should be scared for. They are no match for him, and now that he has lost control to the blood moon he is all beast. It will be a blood bath if I don't get to him quickly. Why did these fucking wolves pick the day of the blood moon to pick a fight with Tim?

I quickly move through the hall of the castle, following the scent of blood. As I get closer, the scent of blood grows stronger.

Once I turn the corner, I see wolves laying on the floor. Some of them lay there bloody and lifeless in their human, while some are still in their wolf form alive, but injured and bleeding out. I keep moving following the sound of fighting until I see wolves biting and clawing trying to take Tim down as he rips into them with sharp teeth and claws.

"Stop!!" My voice boom with command. Being the son of the first lycan I'm the alpha of alphas. My alpha command works on every werewolf from the strongest to the weakest. Alpha wolves being the strongest and the most aggressive wolves, they hate that I have that kind of power over them. So if I'm not holding an alpha meeting they stay as far away from me as they can.

The wolves stop attacking and slowly start to backing away from Tim. They continue to growl keeping their eyes locked on him.

"Tim!!" I say getting his attention to stop him from attack the wolves. He turns towards me, his eyes are black as night letting me know the beast is in control. A deep growl vibrates his chest as he raises up on his hind legs and takes off running towards me. I prepare my self for his attack. I duck under his sharp claws, as he swings them through the air at me and places a hard blow to his gut knocking him to the ground.

"Tim take control!! You control the beast, the beast doesn't control you!!" I command him. I knock him back to the ground, as he tries to get back up to fight. Seconds later he starts to shift back, naked and bloody.

Breathing heavily, he looks around at the bloody scene around him. "Bla-Blake I'm sorry, I couldn't control it. I tried, but The blood moon was too strong, and the wolves kept pushing for a fight until I lost control." He looks around at all the dead and injured wolves laying on the ground, their blood soaking the floor. I can see the panic in his eyes, this is the first time Tim has taken a life.

More wolves start to crowd the halls. Some just watch on in horror at the bloody scene in front of them, while others are crying for the friends, mates, and family they just lost, while some try to help the wolves who aren't dead.

"Its okay Tim, come on we need to get you away from everyone." I keep my voice even trying to calm him down. I need to get him away from everyone before one of these wolves lose control and cause another fight to break out.

"It's okay!? No, it's not fucking okay that bastard killed my brother!!" This guy says, letting out a growl, glaring at Tim. I let out a deep growl silencing him. He slowly lowers his head to me, looking at the ground, baring his neck to me in submission. But he is right, it's not okay. Their alphas and families will want answers for the dead men that Tim killed.

Before leaving with Tim, I order the men to send all the dead guy's bodies back to their packs and take the injured wolves to the healers.

"Tim a healer will come and take a look at you," I tell him, looking at all the blood he's cover with.

"I'm okay Blake, most of it is the wolves blood. Blake I just broke one of your main laws, by killing on neutral territory. What will happen to me?" He frowns down at his body realizing just how much blood he's covered in.

"Don't worry about that right now, go get yourself cleaned up. I need to have a talk with you after I handle this." I tell him, before walking off leaving him.

Making my way through the castle, I walk into the office where I left Tammy.

She looks over at me as I walk through the door. "Where's my brother Blake, please Blake he's all I have left." Tears roll down her face.

I walk over and pull her against me, feeling her hold me tightly. "It's okay, Tim's okay. He's cleaning himself up as we speak." I frown as I hold her, knowing things are far from over with what just happened.

"I have to call a meeting with all the firstborn alphas." I pull her away from me, looking her in her eyes so she can understand what I'm about to tell her.

"Tammy they will want some kind of justice for what Tim has done, and Tim will have to be punished for all the lives he has taken today," I tell her calmly, but I know the alphas and the victim's families will want Tim dead for his crimes.

"Just don't let them kill him, Blake, he's the only family I ha-have left. It's not his fault. This is his first blood moon since you changed him. He was doing just fine keeping everything under control until those wolves st-started to pick a fight with him. It's not his fault Blake." I listen to what she's saying, but I know the alphas won't care. They will want Tim's life, for the lives of their men. But I can't bring my self to tell her that.

I tried to prepare Tim for the blood moon. The blood moon comes every seventy years. I have been through many blood moons, so now they don't really affect me anymore. This being Tim's first blood moon, the first one is the worse. The blood moon effect brings out this power in us, making Lycans more aggressive.

I can't kill Tim he's like a brother to me, and he's the only family Tammy has left. Tammy will never forgive me for that. She's the only reason I agreed to change him in the first place. After I marked her my life force mixed with hers. She's still a human, but my mark has stopped her from aging. She said living forever with me was good enough for her, so she didn't need to be changed into a lycan. Tim is the only family Tammy have left after their parents died. She didn't want to watch her only brother grow old and die, so she begged me to change Tim and I couldn't say no to her.

I need to call all of the alphas. I'm sure word of what happened here today has spread to every pack by now. Me not having a good relationship with any of the firstborn alphas, don't make the situation any better. They are all young firstborn alphas who just recently took over their packs. Now I have to teach them their place the same way I had to teach their forefathers. They won't be happy to hear from me, but that doesn't matter. I'm the king and when I call they answer.

"My King." I hear the office door open causing my head to snap towards the door. I let out a growl, putting Tammy behind me, watching the male walk into the room.

"S-sorry my king, I didn't mean to interrupt you guys." He bows his head, before turning and leaving out the office.

My beast has been on edge around Tammy lately. Every time I'm with her the beast is ready to come out to kill anyone who comes too close to her.

I force the beast back, looking back over at Tammy. "I need to call the alphas, you should go to the room and lay down, I'll be back to check on you afterward." She gives me a nod and I place a kiss on the top of her head, watching her leave out the office.

After calling every alpha the meeting was set. Now I needed to talk to Tim so he can understand the situation.

"Tim come to my office, we need to talk," I tell him through the mind link.

After a few minutes pass, I look over as Tim walks through the doors, coming over taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of the desk.

"Tim I have called a meeting with all the alphas. They will want justice for what you have done, and most likely they will want you dead." I need for him to know, so there's no point in me keeping it away from him, as I did with Tammy. Tim is a Strong kid, he can handle it.

"I take full reasonability for my action, I will accept any punishment you guys see fit." He says with his head held high, not showing any weakness the way I've taught him over the past few years. I wanted to smirk at his bravery, but this isn't something to be proud about.

"I will try to get the alphas to agree to some other punishment for your crimes." I can't kill Tim. Tammy will never forgive me, and I will lose her forever.

"You said most likely they will want me dead, but if you don't go through with the punishment, they will feel like you're showing favoritism towards me because I'm your mate brother," Tim tells me with a frown.

"I will deal with that problem when I cross that bridge," I tell him knowing he's right. "How do you feel, do you have your beast under control?" I asked changing the subject.

"I'm still on edge, my heart has been racing all day, feeling like it's about to explode. I feel so much stronger Blake, but I have my beast under control. I didn't expect the pull of the blood moon to be this strong. " He looks down at his hand, opening and closing his fingers, feeling the power of the blood moon flow through his body.

"Your next blood moon will be much easier, but until the blood moon has passed I want you to stay away from the wolves. I don't want them trying to pick a fight that they won't win." I say, ending the conversation dismissing him.

After having a talk with Tim I decided to send everyone at the castle away, to not risk anything else happening to durn this blood moon. I allow my land and home to be open to all wolves. My land is neutral territory, even for the rogues. The pack's wolves hate rogues, but the rogues never caused problems for me. Every wolf knows they are welcome and safe here. I provide food and shelter for anyone who wants or needs it.

Many people think I'm crazy to open my home and land up to all wolves, and into my home without any kind of protection. I don't need any protection, I'm all the protection I need.

After everyone has left the castle, the sun is starting to go down. The castle is empty for the first time in hundreds of years. Walking through the now silent castle, I follow the sweet scent of Tammy. I take in a breath, inhaling Her scent as I get closer, finding her in our bedroom sitting on the bed. As I enter the room, she looks up at me with sadness in her eyes. I walk over and get on the bed and watch as she moves over in front of me. She leans her back into my chest, as I wrap my arms around her.

"Everything is set, the meeting is one day from now" I place a soft kiss on the top of her head. "I talked with Tim he understands that he will have to be punished for what he has done," I tell her.

"I know, he just told me you two had a talk about everything, and that he will accept any punishment y'all see fit. You taught him to be brave." She say it low, I can hear the sadness in her words.

"Yeah, I think I taught him to be a little too brave." Over the past couple of years, I can see that I have rubbed off on Tim a lot. I have filled the spot as a big brother, and a father figure for him. Being around him so much is causing him to act and carry himself the way I do.

"I'm really starting to not like some of these wolves. Why would they want to pick a fight with Tim? He has never done anything to them." She turns her head, looking at me. Her eyes are filled with tears.

Feeling her sadness through the mate bond, I reach up and brush the tears away as they start to fall.

I let out a sigh. "I don't know, maybe they were just being assholes." I understand why she would hate them. There was once a time when I didn't too much care for the wolves myself, but over many many years, I grew to like them. She'll grow to like them too, after all, she is their queen. I knew it would take a while for here to adjust to the world that I pulled her into. It may take time, but she will grow to like them.

I wrap my arms around her a bit tighter, trying to calm her as we just sit here enjoying the closeness of each other.

"You never told me what happened to all of the other Lycans, how did they all die?" She asks, getting comfortable in my arms.

I frown a little, thinking back to the time of the Lycans.

"There was this virus that caused all of the Lycans everywhere, but me to get really sick. It was very strange because we don't get sick, but the virus wasn't deadly. After a few weeks, the virus passed, and everyone started to get better."

"If everyone got better how did they die?" She asked with a confused look on her face, interrupting me.

"I was getting to that part," I say.

"Okay continue." She waves her hand ordering me to continue. I let out a chuckle, knowing she's the only person who's brave enough to give me an order.

"Well as I was saying, everyone got better, but the virus did something to the Lycans DNA. After the virus passed whenever the Lycans had babies, instead of them shifting into lycans at the age of sixteen, they all would shift into huge wolves. Since normal lycans live for almost a thousand years, eventually they all died off leaving only werewolves." I explain to her. The healers tried for years and years to fix what had changed the Lycans DNA, but nothing could be done.

"So Tim will live for a thousand years then die? What about the wolves how long do they live to be?" She asks, frowning.

"Most wolves live to see five hundred, and some make it to see six hundred years. Tim is not a normal lycan. Any human that I change will have immortality just like me. Only my Father and I were the only ones with the ability to change a human into a lycan." Her frown leaves hearing that Tim won't be dying.

"Where is your Father now?" She asks.

"I don't know for sure, one day every firstborn supernatural creature was nowhere to be found. Rumor has it that the gods took all of their firstborns to fight in some kind of war of the gods." I tell her leaving her looking confused. I don't know if it's true or not like I said its a rumor.

"It had to be hard for you to watch your race die off like that." I can see the sadness in her eyes for me. I let out a sigh, giving her a nod.

"It was hard watching all of them die off, but everything happens for a reason, right?" They say everything happens for a reason, so that's what I always tried to tell myself when the Lycans eventually died off.

"Yeah I guess, but you have the ability to change humans into lycans, why didn't you just repopulate the Lycan race?" Whenever we have a talk about my past or the supernatural world, her questions could go on for hours. I guess any normal person would have millions of questions after finding out about something they thought only existed in books and movies.

"I thought about that many times but it's not that simple. I just can't go around biting humans. As you and Tim know they have to be willing to be changed of their own free will. If I tried to change them against their will, their body will reject my venom turning it into a poison and killing them. Plus I don't have the time, or the patience to go around convincing some weak Humans to let me change them into a lycan." I tell her.

"I'm one of those weak humans you ass!" She sits up and turns around giving me a glare.

"Yeah but you're my weak human," I say to her smirking.

"I'll show you who's a weak human." She says, punching me in my stomach. I holding my stomach pretending to be in pain. I look over at her and let out a low growl, giving her a playful glare. She starts to laugh at me. Her laugh is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. Most of the time I don't even recognize my self when I'm around her. It's like I'm a completely different person with her. I never imagine myself doing any of the silly things I do just to see her smile.

"Now who's a weak human?" She says, continuing to laugh. That laugh can brighten up anyone's day.

"Fine, you're not a weak human." I move back over to her, wrapping her in my arms again as she takes her place back in front of me, leaning back against my chest.

"For a long time I thought the moon goddess didn't love me or the Lycans any more, so she sent all the Lycans to their death. But when I found you she gave me the best gift in the world, and I knew from that day she loved me, and I knew that I would love you forever." I tell her meaning every word.

"I love you too Blake." She brings my hand up to her mouth, placing a kiss on the back of my hand.

As I lay here with her in my arms, I silently thank the moon goddess for giving me her. These past years with her have been the best years of my whole life. I use to think to have a mate would make me weak. I am the lycan king, I am the monster that people are afraid of, the monster that would kill anyone without a second thought, and I was fine with being that monster. I didn't want some woman trying to change me into something I was not, so I never wanted a mate.

I told myself if I ever found her I would walk away the second I saw her. But the day I saw her working in this store, she was so beautiful. I couldn't walk away, all I could do was stare. I tried to stay away from her, and let her live out her short human life and die. But I couldn't get her out my head. I would always find myself going to that store every day just to see her.

She's like my total opposite. She's sweet and gentle, but I'm this savage monster who doesn't mind killing anyone without a second thought.

Eventually, I got the balls to talk to her, and ask her out. It took her a while to come to terms about what I am, but eventually, she accepted me for what I am. I love Tammy and I would do anything for her.

Now I have to figure out how I will deal with this problem. I can't kill Tim. Tammy and Tim are my family now, and I'm not going to lose them. I just can't. I just hope that the alphas understand where I'm coming from, and we will be able to work out some other kind of punishment for Tim.

"Blake I think the moon goddess really loves you." She takes my hand and places it on her stomach looking up at me smiling. I frown a bit as I slowly start to understand what she's saying.

She nods her head smiling.

My eyes widen a bit as A big smile pulls at the corners of my lips. "That explains why my beast been on edge lately whenever someone comes near you." I look down at my hand on her stomach with a smile.

"When did you find out?" I ask, feeling this excitement inside.

"I just found out today. I was just leaving the hospital wing of the castle with Timothy to come and tell you that I was pregnant. But that's when the wolves started to pick a fight with Tim." She tells me.

"Did any of them do anything to you?" A low growl vibrates my chest at the thought of someone hurting Tammy.

"No, before the fight started Tim told me to go get you, so I ran to get you." She says placing her hand on top of mine to calm me down.

"What did the healers say?" I ask wanting to know everything.

"Sarah told me that I'm three weeks pregnant and that I will only be pregnant for five to six months because Lycans babies grow at a fast rate. She said she will be able to tell us if it's a girl or boy within another month." She smiles looking down at her stomach. Our future is growing in there.

"I can't believe I'm going to be a Father." The words come out in a whisper. I never really expected this. I sit here letting the news really sink in.

I can never thank the moon goddess enough for what she has given me. Tammy has changed my life so much, she has brought out a part of me that I never knew existed.

"Don't worry, you will be a great father." She tells me with a smile.
