Megan's POV
I coughed slightly from the smoke that filled the atmosphere. Everywhere was clouded with smoke and I wondered how much damage Sage has caused to the whole city.I trod along the road carefully, squinting my eyes to see if there was any other person around. Following Sage landed us here and I haven't seen him. The smoke wasn't helping as well. I ensured I held on to Steve carefully.
As we continued to move forward, the atmosphere suddenly became clearer. I almost sighed in relief but was caught off guard when an arrow flew my way. Reflexively, I dodged the arrow.
My eyes darted towards the direction it came from. I wasn't surprised to see Sage but what surprised me was the army that stood in lines right behind him.
"This is going to be bloody." I heard Steve mutter behind me.

Megan's POVI stood at the centre of the city with Steve, Sage and his captives. Sage's eyes never left mine while he waited patiently for me to make my decision.Something kept telling me not to surrender.
