Chapter One: The Wedding day.

EMILY'S POV

Everything about my life is going to change today. Am I scared? A little bit.

Everyone thinks something horrible is about to happen to me but as I lay on my bed. I was lost in the thoughts of his charming smile and those seductive light gazes he gave me.

I knew the only horrible thing that would happen today was the aching feeling of him penetrating me as we lost ourselves to passion on our matrimonial bed.

“Ohhh sleepyhead get up already, it's your wedding day, and look, it's already past six!" I heard my mother call and I groaned gently from my sleep as my eyes shot open immediately. I realized what the time was.

It's past six. Oh moon goddess, I am going to be late for my wedding!

I bolted out of my bed only to get faced with my mother who was looking at me rather weirdly and I wondered what was going on.

"You looked too happy for someone that is getting married to a member of the rival pack," my mother said and I sighed hearing her words.

It is indeed true that today is my wedding day but to my family, it was more like bad luck but I could not blame them.

We were Omegas, one of the lowest levels in the pack and we were perceived for our weaknesses which was the reason that led to this wedding in the first place.

Our pack has a debt to repay our rival pack and they decided to betrothed me an Omega, to the member of the rival pack to ally with them.

But I was all cool with that because the person I was getting married to was the hottest man alive. Every girl wants a piece of him, but I would be getting all of him to myself after today.

Suddenly there was a tingling urge to scream, joyfully, I suppressed it.

Right now, I don't even care about meeting my mate as long as I could get married to Ethan which was scheduled to be today, on my eighteenth birthday.

"What are you saying Mom, you know I am not happy but we have to obey the alpha… we are not that powerful to go against him," I lied through my white teeth.

Right now, I was burning with the desire to feel his lips grace over the skin on my neck as he tenderly marked me on the Wolf priest's request.

To feel his strong fingers intertwine with mine… ‘Oh moon goddess I can't wait.’

"I know my poor baby is going to be left alone in a pack full of sock-evil betas. How can you cope with… They should not have agreed to do this to you," Mother paused, tears building up slowly. I hug her Immediately, wiping it with the hem of my sleeve.

I knew that she was probably really scared but I knew I wasn't going to be lonely like she deemed. I was going to be happy being by Ethan's side and there was nothing to worry about.

"It's ok, I will be fine, I am sure of it. Let's get you ready for your wedding, we don't want the pack to think we are poor just because we are Omega," her tone was comedic, and I attempted to smile.

I chuckled at the funny look on her face.

Mom left my embrace to tend to my dress.

"Looks like you are forgetting something, Mom," I hinted at her seeing that she hadn't wished me for my birthday and she smiled. "Happy birthday, my princess, I am proud of you," she says, kissing my forehead.

I got prepared for the party dressed in my wedding dress and my mother accompanied me to the hall where the ball was going to be held since it was the alpha of the pack organizing it.

I was left in a room and I was told that I was going to be led out when the groom arrived.

My eyes flew from the windows and the king-sized bed.

'I wonder if ours will be this big' a blush taints my cheeks, anxiousness creeping into my bones as I wait patiently for my mother to come and escort me out. Suddenly, boredom set in, when my mother didn't come for a long time.

"What's going on? Why is no one here yet?" I murmured standing up.

'Maybe I should go and take a look’

I decided to do so but my steps halted when the door to the room opened and someone stepped in.

"Diana!" I called looking at the lady, who had just walked in, and I smiled.

Diana has been my best friend since childhood, and we grew up together with a strong bond.

"Congratulations on your wedding, Emily," Diana says and I found her tone rather mocking, but I brushed it off.

A lot is on my mind already so I wasn't thinking too much about that.

But then my eyes went to her dress and I was surprised she wasn't wearing the bridesmaid's dress, she was wearing…white.

"Why is your dress different?" I asked confused and Diana beamed with a smile. "Oh that, I spilled something on it this morning, that's why I opted for a change. I hope you are not mad?" She asked and I shook my head.

'But why white though?' I thought but I brushed it off.

"You are going to connect with your wolf today and also get married. You are one lucky girl…. and that reminds me, Ethan sent me to you and he asked you to meet him at the last changing room, down the hallway." Diana says and my heart leaped in joy hearing that.

“I'll be with you shortly too, I need to fix some things quickly.” Diana walked out of the room afterward. My palms become sweaty, my heart racing fast. I should be on my way to see him.

But I wondered why Ethan wanted to see me before the ceremony and after a while I went out just like Diana instructed, walking down the hallways.

As I was going down the hallway, I heard some muffled voices in a room and it sounded like some people were making out I cringed, wondering why someone would be so bold to make out in such a place like this, where people could easily see them. I decided to take a look.

Don't get me wrong, I usually mind my own business but I was just curious so I moved closer to the room and creaked the door open gently but the sight I saw shocked me to my bones.

I looked at the people making out and kissing each other. The woman's legs wrapped around the man's torso and I noticed that it was just a minute away from having sex and I gasped.

The people making out were not strangers to me, instead, they were people I knew…and trusted.

My best friend and my soon-to-be husband!

My eyes welled up with tears and I felt my feet grow cold with the sight in front of me.

Immediately, I wished the moon goddess would be so kind as to make a strike because the scene was unbelievable but unfortunately, it was.

'What is this? My groom-to-be, making out with my friend' I thought and the cells in my body cried in agony.

"What the hell is going on here!"... I screamed.
