Maya's POV.

"So what do you propose?" I step closer to the king's throne.

"There is a memory spa at the boundary of our clan. My guards can take you there. It will help you remember everything you need to know."

"I will do it," I blurt out immediately.

"No." Maddox says it loudly this time, since obviously I’m not listening. He steps in front of me. "We are not getting any more corrupted memories."

"I understand your worry, Maddox, but—"

"We are not!" He interrupts me, grabbing my wrist and forcing me toward the door with him.

I yank my hand free and shove him off me. "Don’t you dare try to control me. If there’s anyone untrustworthy here, it’s you. You killed me in my first life. I should think twice before letting you in again."

    MAYA'S POV All four of them are still trapped behind the barn, but it seems everyone just wants me to run. I need to figure out what to do.     MAYA'S POV I don’t know if I should feel embarrassed, but these men I've just been caught in bed with are my mates. Everyone outside the room is staring at us. I hit the men and they got up.
